  • Cool, I wanna go there! :)

  • Yay! You'll have to convince some random tall European guy to take you there! ;D

  • I was going to say Nice looks nice but then I realized that might be too corny haha. But it looks awesome!

  • LOL Rich! Everyone has done it so far, so why should you be the only one to miss out on the bad joke action? ;D

  • gähn

  • Yawn? Seriously?

  • Excellent video! Your lead in was sooo cool. For some reason I was thinking how hilarious it would be to drive the wrecker on those streets LOL :P

  • LOL! Yes, there were more opportunities for mayhem in Monaco as you'll see in an upcoming video!

Yes! I tried to make the intro as cheesy as possible to go with the song, but I liked the way it turned out.

Still travelling (at 888 Munich today) but will be catching up on your videos soon.

  • It's cool that you'll be at 888 in Munich. Say "hi" to Kiwi for me :) Looking forward to the next video.

  • dammit! you lucky duck!

  • Hee hee! Somebody has to do it - and like it says in the info panel, I'm prepared to take one for the team!

TGV to Paris, then on to Nice. You could be there by dinner time! ;D

  • Oooh yeah =D

I feel such envy inside my heart, you with all the sun over there going to the beach and me freezing my arse here T-T

There was a really beautiful train going on the street where cars go! That city is crazy!

  • LOL! Yeah, the music is quite catchy!

I sent my sister a text while I was lying on the beach after going for a swim. She said it was 6 degrees in Sydney. Muah ha ha! Oh, I'm back there in 11 days...

Ah yes! The tram was really cool! Looked so modern, which is why I filmed it. The ones here in Munich look like they're from 1930.

  • Nice video, Michael! Ahh there I go again - I mean fun video, not nice, although it was nice too, of Nice..ugh, lol.

Footage from 2.10-2.25 really appreciated! That was a gorgeous fountain ^^

The music choice was amusing, hehe, its such a cheesy song really it makes me cringe but it was so funny to see it in one of your videos especially with this footage!

  • Haha! Yes, it's hard not to make those jokes!

LOL - you KNOW all horses are for you, all clouds are for Ash. I also have footage of it at night that didn't quite work here, as well as some stills.

LOL! Yeah, Ferris Bueller's Day Off has a lot to answer for in the choice of music here, but hell - with a cheesy intro like that, what else could I go for? The Magnum PI theme? ;D I'm glad I got the song out of the way before I edited up Monaco with its Ferrari footage...

  • Taking one for the team? Bah! I wanna take one for the team. :(

Anywho, this video was prettyyyyy. :D

  • LOL! You met Jordan for us, and if that's not taking one for the team, I don't know what is! ;P (Hi Jordan when you read this!)

    Aww, thanks Ash!

  • uh, I just read this for the first time randomly! You're such a loser lol

  • ROFL! 4 months from setup to payoff, but I think you'll agree it was worth it! ;DDD

  • Nice! :)

  • Thanks! :)

  • Thank you SO MUCH for taking this one for the team, place looks just like the video game haha. Soo awesome, looks like you had an amazing time as always.. All we need is a video of you parasailing now =]

  • rofl! I thought you'd like that line in the info panel!

I'd probably be up for parasailing. I've been hangliding before, but I think I've said, I hate the sensation of falling, so things like parachuting and bungee jumping are very much off my list.

  • OMG, Gorgeous! And the song was perfect! LOL I loved it! You know, I never imagined the south of France to look like that. What a beautiful spot!

  • Oh in that case I'm glad I could show you around Shauna! There is another video to come where we head up into the hills to a town where they make perfume, and we go to a perfume blending practical class. Very fun!

  • Ooh, fishies! :D

I'm so glad that there are people like you out there so we won't have to go to these terribly sunny places ourselves. Ugh, daylight! ;-)

  • LOL! Another Shade Vampire YouTuber! Funny - coming from Australian winter I was very pale and looked quite out of place on the beach. Problem is, I also have the Australian aversion to skin cancer, so I couldn't stop putting on lots of sunscreen, so I still have my farmer's tan...

Oh yay! Yeah, the fish were one of the coolest things I saw! :D

  • Wauw, it's very nice in Nice :)

If you would have said this was Miami, I would have believed you too.

    It's a beautiful city!

  • Yeah, I was a bit cynical about the whole 'South of France' hype, but I actually had a really good time.

The beach really reminds me of Bondi, which is about a half hour walk from my place. Oh, apart from the rocks on the beach - I'll never understand how people think THAT is a good idea...

  • haha yeah some beaches in Normandy and south england are the same. All rocks or pebbles.

  • Yeah, when I lived in the UK as a kid, we used to go to Cornwall for holidays to beaches made of pebbles. These rocks are fist sized, and red hot in the sun! At least they're smooth I guess.

  • Yeah, I remember Slapton beach (I believe that was the name) was used as a training ground for D-Day.

(That was a black page in english history actually. They trained with live ammunition and killed more people in training than actually died in the D-Day landings. True story!)

  • Oh, I didn't know that aspect of the story.

Damn the Brits do some odd things. They used to train aircrew to fly with two engines shut down on one side of a plane. There have been a lot of people killed in training accidents, vs none in real life. Incidentally, Australia lost a 707 in similar circumstances back in 1991.

  • Yeah it's crazy. I know of this story because local resident Ken Small wrote a book about it. He was sitting outside his car near a Sherman tank that served as a war-memorial (he had retreaved the tank from the sea himself) and he was selling his books there. So I bought one and he signed it for me. It's called "'The Forgotten Dead'-Why 946 american servicemen died off the coast of Devon in 1944, and the man who discovered their true story."

But I'm getting off subject again haha

  • Not at all - it's a very interesting story. You'd think they'd stop after the first one or two...

Wow - pulling a tank out of the sea must be tricky!

  • Yeah it was one of those Shermans they re-fitted with stuff to make it float. Only they forgot to weld the bottom plates in place so it sank like a brike once it drove off the landingcraft into the sea. Drowing all 3 crew instantly. Such stupidity. It actually makes you angry at those responsable when you read it. I could go on and on with anecdotes like that but I don't think the comment section is the place for that ^_^

  • Yeah, I remember stories like that with the D-Day gliders loaded up so they couldn't fly.

I guess this sort of conversation needs to be continued over a beer or two one day!

  • Yes exactly :) That sounds like a good plan.

Looks like more people had that thought just now: (Just in on Twitter: Speedyconkiwi says: having a beer with Aeric Winter and Dinzla.)

Haha, Talk to you later Michael. I'm off to bed. Last day of work tomorrow and then I'm unemployed again. (But we'll talk about that at some other time). I hope you have a fantastic day tomorrow at 888!!

  • LOL! So they leave me stranded in a hotel while they're having a beer somewhere else in town?! I'll have words with them tomorrow! ;D
