It has been announced that to be in a Super Smash game, a third-party character must have games on a Nintendo console, and must be 1 character per third party.

With that out of the way, it wouldn't even be Super Smash anymore if too many non-Nintendo characters got put in.

I'm actually working on my own video of characters who should appear. I liked your list, I like how you sort of stuck to the traditional Nintendo characters (Donkey Kong, and other old school Nintendo games) I agree with Megaman too, even though he isn't a Nintendo character. He should have been put in but I understand Capcom rejected Nintendo so eh.. Nice video, even if it is old, I really did enjoy.

I know im nerdy . Fans want waaay to many 3rd party characters in number 4. 6 or 7 should be the limit and they need to fit the game properly. Im a huge fan of MGS but Snake doesnt fit the game to well. He's a stealth expert who experts in guns yet he's in a fighting game for children and so isnt allowed them. Characters like Classic MegaMan and Sonic fit the gamer perfectly. But everyone wants all of sonics friends on it that would ruin it. Shadow would be alright as a second Sonic character.

heres my thought, top ten that should be in as playable: waluigi bowser jr shadow black shadow (maybe) dark samus (may be similar to zero suit samus, like alternate form) krystal possibly a pokemon trainer rival? (would make it more interesting) maybe rundas, or weavil (just sayin rundas cause hes cool [no pun intended]) mewtwo? (was in the old version) this is just my thought, some you may agree, others you may not, but top 2 were originaly planned

@trogdorguy91 Geno WAS in brawl, until Greedy Square Enix took copyrights, Nintendo had to remove ALL traces of Geno from brawl, but left one VITAL part. The Music. Hackers have hacked their way into the game and ripped out this piece of music, "Geno's forest" and realized Geno WAS in brawl at one point. So don't say Geno is stupid.

To be very honest, your list is BY FAR the best list i've seen throughout yt, everybody else wants lame as shit like characters from wind waker (not that I didint like the game) they would not fit in as fighters, and besides why expand the zelda roster even more?

I heard that the reason that megaman was not in brawl was that Capcom was originally going to have RE4 an exclusive to gamecube but after they ported it to PS2 Nintendo got angry and that led to Megaman being barred from brawl, but thats just a rumor I heard

@Tearbear1992 No he's wrong. There was a poll asking which third part character should be in brawl. The choices were Megaman, Pacman, Cloud, and Sonic. Of the 4, Sonic got the most votes.So I think Nintendo asked Sega if Sonic could be in Brawl. But I'd much rather have Sonic than Megaman. Pacman would also be nice to have.

well, in melee they had young link, brawl they have toon link instead, so maybe next time they can have the mask links :| but you're right, skull kid is a little to obscure.

As a matter of fact, I think that shadow and tails would be stupid to put in the game. Too many foreign characters from one game-_- and shadow is (literally) a sonic clone. I don't really know about geno, so I can't say. maybe crono from chrono trigger would be good.
