An excellent way to self land a flysurfer is by pulling both back lines (like in the vid), but instead of walking down the lines, you secure the back lines behind an anchor. Then you can take break or have a snack, and easily relaunch the kite for another session when ready ;-)
Another thing i learned was if your lines were wrapped around the tip when launching pull in the back lines to collapse the kite for a second then release them to let the kite fly again. Worked great when a line got wrapped around the tip during a launch.
It all depends on how strong. If you are completely overpowered in an emergency situation, you should pull the QR with the kite at the 3 or 9 o'clock on the edge of the wind window if possible. And then roll up the safety line of the FLS on the bar, and then roll the rest of the lines to get to the kite.
