  • My all-time arcade favorite!

  • @sygo7g Yes, and its sounds like Ms. Pac-Man.

  • The 2600 version looks bad. I expect better like actually the colours of the burger rather than everything looking like buns and magically buns turning into Burgers.

  • Commodore 128 and VIC 20 can be played on the same emulator as Commodore 64 which is VICE.

  • The best looking one is the Commodore 64 version, but I think I like the Colecovision version. The Gameboy version is horrible!

  • The TI 99/4a version wins hands down

  • Wow, whats chasing you in the 2600 version? 2 squares and a line. Atari sucks!

  • good, but could be better. you forgot the Aquarius version ? . also besides the intecepter ones Ocean did a game called "mr wimpy" which highly borrowed from BT. there was a homebrew spectrum version also :)

  • One of the coolest things about old Atari consoles is how much homebrew support they have...even the Jaguar CD add-on has homebrew being made for it!

  • @MattTheSaiyan You are correct, but let's not forget the emulators! Atari for example, I have emulators for ALL Atari 8-bit & literally EVERY game ever officially released, prototypes, and many homebrews. You can even play all the above mentioned, ONLINE with/vs people. Are you into retro gaming? I love systems made 1976 -1996). I am looking for people for online retro gaming. Atari, Intellivision, C64, MAME (arcade games), Nintendo, Sega, etc. Let me know if you're interested? It's fun!

  • @gjc82071 I've got MAMEHub myself matey. You are right it's lots of fun. Doesn't run every normal MESS system yet though as not all hsis for the MESS side have been made yet.

  • @wrestletube1 Really? Cool. I've been using MAME since 1997. I also have MESS & at least 40-50 various, assorted, emulators/60,000+ ROMs/games. Hey, do you use MAME a lot? I have/use MAMEppk (k for Kailera Client) for online play. It's really cool playing many of these great classic/retro games, online with/VS other people. Would you maybe like to try it out/play online sometime? It really is fun. Nothing like paying against a real person. I like many game genres & will try out any game.

  • @gjc82071 I'll stick to MAMEHub as it's better and more stable plus it's MAME & some of MESS.

  • @wrestletube1 MAMEhub? Isn't that where you just basically "watch" people play? It's like a webcam pointed at their monitor? Kaillera Client has servers that actually allow you to both play simultaneously. It's really fun man. Does MAMEhub do that? If it allows as to actually play together, I would try that with you. I am just not sure what it really is/never used it. I see download files and "Arrange Games - Post here to arrange a time to meet and play games.". How do you play games?

  • @wrestletube1 I was wrong about MAMEhub. I thought it was something entirely different. I am checking into MAMEhub now. It looks cool! I love that it has support for MESS! If I download/install it and all that, do you maybe want to get a game going some time? What kind of games do you like? Arcade Golden Age (Pacman, DOnkey Kong, etc), Brawlers, Shooters, Fighters, Sports, etc?

  • @gjc82071 Anything.

  • 6:15 "HAHA ill get you, you Eggy Bastard"

    6:18 "SHIT!"

  • this is one of the best and harder games ever

  • Can't you show the TI99 versions. Better than seeing the GB or GBA version, imo.

  • @aning2K I would have loved to demo it.Only problem is that every emulator out there now is just too big of a hassle to set up. :(

  • @wingnut4427

M.E.S.S is the equivalent to M.A.M.E for consoles. With that, any game on any console will work. Check it out.

  • @aning2K I've tried it but it will not work. :(

  • @wingnut4427 you need all the bios files. I'm running messui 0.142.5.0 and so far every console I have tested in it works like a charm but then again, I don't know what your PC specs are or what video card you are using so that might have something to do with it.

  • @deadlygroove1 I have resolved the issue since then. I also have a Newer PC from that time before. I'm considering doing a remake of these earlier videos to add more ports.. or simply making a paer 2 to them. still undecided. I'm surrently working on a part 2 for Q*bert. Keep an eye out ;)

  • part 2 even.. sorry I have FFS today ( Fat Finger Syndrome )

  • The official Burgertime for the C64 sucks. Instead of throwing pepper, it's more like dropping it. You have to press the button, then back away and let the enemies run into it, which is different than every other version. Also, you can't drop the enemies on the burger pieces. Burgertime 97 is much better, but also a little too easy. I suck at Burgertime and even so I was able to clear all the levels without too much trouble.

  • I played the Intellivision version of this game for years. In fact, it was the very first game I ever played. Up until last month I had never touched an actual Burgertime arcade machine.

In my game collection I own 2 copies of Burgertime on the Intellivision CIB, the NES version (I've got to see which version it is) and I own a copy of Diner. Really wish I knew where my original box was to Diner :(

  • There is a dos version, a bootable floppy from way back when. You can find video of it on youtube.

  • The NES version is the best of all.

  • @jtomally9681 Colecovision version is better.

  • @christo930 That's your opinion.

  • @jtomally9681 obviously. But have you actually played the colecovision version?

  • @christo930 Yes I have.

  • @jtomally9681 In your opinion, why is the NES version better and second, are you talking about the same version that is shown in the video? I have played Burgertime on the NES and it wasn't the same version as the one shown in this video.

  • @christo930 The layouts is different but they are the same games but all have differences in them. In my opinion, I like the NES version best. This version is not bad. I just do not like it as much.

  • @christo930 You are correct ! There are actually 3 versions of this game for the NES. I only had this one to review. 2 of them look identical but sound slightly different. If I'm not mistaken one is on the disk system & the other is a cart. the last one has different graphics. Every ROM source I pull is the same one I already have but I think I know which one You are talking about .. if memory serves me correct.

  • @sygo7g It does. It sucks. I was greatly disappointed in that version :(

  • I want this for Commodore 64 I think Interceptor software makes it.

  • @dogcatmouse23 You can get it on c64 . c o m

  • @dogcatmouse23 There's 3 C64 versions w/Burger Time '97 being the best IMO. All can be got @ Gamebase64

    1. Burger Time '97 - 1997 Loadstar/J & F Publishing, Inc.

    2. Burger Time - 1984 Interceptor Software

    3. Burger Chase - 1984 Supersoft

  • GamingHistorySource. I LOVE these "Let's Compare" vids. I love playing all the ports too, while some people want only to play the arcade ver. or best looking port. I wanted to ask you about a "Congo Bong" "Let's Compare". While not 1 of the most popular games ever made, w/10 total, there are enough ports to make it interesting. There is: Arcade, ColecoVision, Atari 5200, IntelliVision, Atari 2600, TI-99/4A, Commodore VIC-20, Commodore 64 (2 versions by US Gold/Sega 1983 & '85) , DOS, Amiga

  • @gjc82071 I was working on that one once but I lost My work on it when My last computer died. I haven't had the time to do any vids. lately. I'm estimating that I'll pick it back up sometime after August when things slow down a bit. Have a ton of things on My plate at the moment. But I'll look into getting Congo Bongo again. :)

  • @gjc82071 done :)

  • @wingnut4427 Hello Wing. "Done" what? I commented only about about: C64 Burger Time versions & a "Let's Compare" featuring "Congo Bongo".

Did you make a Congo Bongo??? Where is it?

BTW, I may have asked you already (I forget), but would you ever maybe be interested in playing online (via emulators) some retro arcade games (MAME), Any/all Atari 8-bit (2600, 5200, etc) Commodore 64, Nintendo NES/SNES & Sega 8-16-bit? Please let me know. I love retro gaming & have trouble finding players.
