  • wonderful video, cheers.

  • @noelist

    Thank you.

  • Super video, Superpower. They flattened the gradients. Like the inclusion of the HST at the end.

  • @loosegrip99

They certainly did make the South DEvon hills look easy. The HST was nearly a problem and certainly was for those a bit further up the line. Thanks for your comments.

  • Great shots and sound. You could really feel the power from those two engines.

  • @Incomer2005

Thanks for watching and your comments.

  • Really nice shots - I've heard Hemerdon Bank is supposed to be a pretty fearsome gradient, but those engines were just powering along..... almost like the train were an HST :-) TU

  • @HughFromAlice

Hi Hugh, thanks for your comments. Hemerdon can be quite a challenge for steam, being a short distance from the start at Plymouth. But whenever there are 2 powerful engines on the front, the bank is usually conquered easily. See my video of the Cornishman on 10th July to see how challenging it is for some single locos. Keith

  • Marvellous shots Keith, terrific to see these great engines working hard on the tough gradients. Superbly captured!

  • @duckfan0000

Many thanks for watching and your comments.

  • Great video Keith.

  • @churchward82c

    Thanks Nigel.

  • Great shots again Keith, very nice.

  • @nothingman1712

Thanks for watching and commenting David. Keith

  • Excellent work Keith, quite surprised at the lovely open view from the fence on Hemerdon at this time of year, I think you picked the best spot. Alan

  • @Steamclips

Thank you Alan. It was a good position but I was there 2 hours before to get it! Keith

  • Superb video Keith, lovely smooth pan at Whiteball, Tigley and Hemerdon were just superb. I can see the vegetation is going to cause a problem before too long

  • @acw71000

Thanks Austin. The vegetation is always a challenge. Still it stops you going to the same spot every time and makes you look for new locations/angles. Keith

  • Excellent video Keith - we were stood near you on Hemerdon and my wife cried at the spectacle of these 2 awesome locomotives!

  • @SDartmoor

Thanks. Yes, it was quite a spine tingling site as they climbed up Hemerdon. And thanks for subscribing. Keith

  • That Tigley shot is great Keith, there are 2 shots down that lane now!! Excellent video as usual.

  • @MrFireboxchaser

Thanks Nick. There are 2 shots now thanks to some cutting back but what's the betting it won't be like that for long! Keith

  • Excellent pictures!

  • @devsteam

    Thank you.

  • Magnificent shots at Tigley and Hemerdon. And luckily timed with the XC HST as well.

  • @AndreiTupolev

Thanks, and with the HST I just got away with it again. Those nearer the top of the bank must have cursed. Keith

  • Superb locations allowing the capture of the locomotives in full cry. Thanks for sharing. Regards, John

  • @molzips

Thanks John, and thanks for subscribing. Keith

  • are you the guy who was chopping the branches down with a machette???great video i was on the top of the bank looking down on you with my son
