  • :D...Aaaawwwesome!

  • so amazing lol

  • It actually makes sense! I think. =) Thanks!

  • :D :D

  • Haha, pretty funny vid.

Sigur Ros is the shit tho.

  • @rrpauldoran so is ya mums face tho =]

  • ahaahhah þetta er snilld!

  • what the hell, sounds nothing alike.

og ég fæ blóðnasir, en ég stend alltaf uuuupp, við sjáumst tvööö.

    fffffff gott lag

  • I laughed my lungs out. I gotta do something like this in portuguese, not with Hoppipolla, but with 'Loftarasa' and 'Bamm Bamm Bamm'. 'Who shines a lot' was the best line!

  • Brilliant. It's amazing how the brain is influenced so easily by reading these 'lyrics' whilst listening to the song.

  • FAIL. no offence dude i understand this song because im from iceland

  • hahaha þetta er epic!

  • hahahaha!! hvaða fáviti er að texta þetta?

  • @noridemo held hann sé ekki að beinþýða.

held hann sé að gera svona einsog þetta hljómi.

  • *fade in*

    "writteeeenn deeeed" XD

  • Hahahaha snillingur xD

  • haha

    "Dashhound who shines alot"

  • I'm Icelandic and I can't really understand shit of what they're saying in that song, really, is that English or Icelandic?

  • it's icelandic ég virkilega efa að þú sért íslenskur ef að þú skilur þetta ekki

  • did you just say " I really doubt that you are icelandic if you don't understand that"? If so, I must be a genius, because I don't speak Icelandic!

  • yes i did

  • thats because there is something called google translate:)

  • No, actually it's because there's something called historical linguistics and deductive reasoning, added to a general knowlege of germanic languages. I prefer to think it's 'cause I'm a genious though :-D

  • oh i forgot there are some part in hopelandic (gibberish language)

  • Ég skildi ekki orð af því sem hann/þeir voru að segja

  • What is Hopelandic?

Im Icelandic and I understand the lyrics if I listen clearly ;)

So no hopelandic here, just icelandic

  • hopelandic er bull tungumál sem að þeir bjuggu til og jú það er í þessu lagi líka með íslenskunni ekki bara íslenska

  • i think they call it hopelandic - their own language for making music.

  • Þú ættir þá kannski að athuga aðeins íslenskukunnáttuna. Sumt er óskýrt en flest heyrist nú bara ágætlega vel.

    An Icelandic disgrace you are.

  • Þú særir mig

  • Alveg róleg/ur, ég er bara að stríða þér :)

  • Phew

  • i got it a bit mixed up but the former post is the first one then the second one

  • Jump into puddles

    With no boots on

    completely drenched(Soaked)

    With no boots on

    And I get a nosebleed

    but I always stand up

    And I get a nosebleed

    but I always stand up

  • Smiling Spinning round and round Holding hands The whole world a blur But you are standing Soaked Completely drenched No rubber boots Running inside us Want to erupt from a shell The Wind An outdoor smell of your hair I breathe as hard as I can with my nose
  • in the Netherlands we call this Mama Appelsap and have it with many songs :D

  • jajajajajajaj muy creativo congratulations

  • lol that scary pic made me laugh i dont know

  • I have to say... maybe be cause I'm icelandic.. this is like really beadly done but a good try anyways!

  • can u tell me the english lyrics to hoppipolla plz

  • hhahahahahahahahahahahahah it's been like 10 minutes since we've first heard it and we're still laughing

  • that made no sense, but who cares! it was very funny. now i'll just go a shine my dash... err shoes.

  • That was really funny

  • Sniðugt, þó ég skil þetta ekkert

  • hahaha...very funny!!! :]

i dont know but you're both idiot and intelligent..

Idiot cause you really misheard it...

Intelligent cause you made this one and posted it...

    i give it 5 stars!!!

    :p

  • i think the point of the song is to make you smile, and watching this definitely made me smile. 5 stars!

  • bwahahaha!! wow this is brilliant, I'm icelandic and i find it very hard to understand them, so this was really funny, beacause i hear the same as u xD

it would be awesome if you took more icelandic songs and translate them the same way:P

  • OMG this video is amazing :D

    Big up to you!

    It actually made me LOL!

    XD

(Love the "were livving earlyy, NO!" and the "dashound who shines alot and the heat on dunce")

    You should be very proud

  • do you know the definition of "misheard"?

this is not supposed to be a translation, it's supposed to be a joke about what the lyrics *sound* like.. you hadn't realised that from the randomness of the video?

  • oh sorry, I didn't read the title:P when I was reading your lyrics I was like huh? lol but sorry about that

  • no offence.

    But OBVIOUSLY!!!!

TBH to me the lyrics he heard sounded exactly the samje to me as the actual song

  • haha, since i'm icelandic i can't really see how you hear some of these words! nice job though.

  • so wots the translation of the song then?

    plz reply.

  • Go to LyricWiki and see for yourself.

  • oryt, cheers

  • I'm icelandic so I really don't see how you are hearing those words lol

  • the "scare" part scared me. That face was creepy. AH, i can't get it out of my head now.

  • I'm so sorry -.- I wanted to hear the misheard lyrics... But since I'm Icelandic I can't get those lyrics you wrote into my head instead of the real words xD

  • Phailed.

  • thats the whole point 'Misheard Lyrics' videos are jokes ,there 4 a laugh ,leave him/her alone they did a really good video

    xxxxxxxxxxxx

  • your an idiot, its called Misheard Lyrics, which means, what it sounds like.. not what it actually is.

  • i luv this song

  • djöfulsins rugl

  • Funny! It's even funnier if you speak icelandic and know what they are really saying. Pleased to give five stars!

  • Funny thing. The misheard lyrics make as much sense (if not more) then the original song.

    Want to see the translation?

The wind. An outdoor smell of your hair.

I breath as hard as I can with my nose.

No rubber boots. Running inside us.

Want to erupt from a shell.

Jump into puddles with no boots.

    Completely soaked with no boots.

And I get a bloody nose. But I always stand up.

  • og ég fæ blóðnasir!

  • Hahaha thats brillliant, it makes him sound like he's japanese while singing.

Kinda reminds me of Ruki x'D

  • i did just get few words when i read the text with it but without it its "pís of keik"

    im from iceland BTW!!

  • They are singing about someone maybe being young again or a child. And the child is jumping in puddles and just being innocent.

That's how the song even sounds like... like you are a kid jumping in puddles and just being in your own world.

  • The funny thing is that this "translation" actually made more sens then the original lyrics.

  • ok, i still dont get it. So, this is realyl icelandic, they're really saying something here/ cause I read somewhere that they sing in their own invented language and just use voice like another instrument, not actually meaning anything....is this in all the songs or just some songs, or are they all mixed up??

  • Not in all their songs

  • well, Jónsi is mostly talking nonsense in his lyrics, but this song actually has a clear lyric if you understand Icelandic, but still it's very "artistic" where he is talking about jumping in puddles, but into that somehow he incorporates turbulence in somebody's hair and a bleeding nose, but he still stands up on his own.

but how I would love to hear their songs without understanding normally every other word, because their "language" is basically gibberish formed out of icelandic.

  • haha ég er nú íslenskur en ég skildi ekki orð af því sem hann sagði þegar ég las þessa þýðingu með xD

  • misheard lyrics

    MISHEARD

  • It's impossible to try to hear the translation in english when you know icelandic.

  • cha cha super bomba wypas po prostu

  • hahaha the dashhound's so funny!!!

yeah the band actually invented a gibberish language called "vonlenska" or "hopelandic", the lyrics of this song are in icelandic though.

  • OMG. Best video I have ever seen in Youtube, period!

  • the dashhound who shines a lot is indeed the funniest thing! :P

but i have a question if there's anyone from Iceland here, do they actually say anything understandable in this song? cause I know a couple of guys from Iceland who say not even they understand Sigur Ros, cause they sing in some kind of invented language that sounds like icelandic...

  • I'm from Iceland and I barely understand what he's saying, when I see the english ''translation'' while listening to it I have no idea what he's saying :P

  • Yes, everything they are saying makes sence actually, but not always

  • I'm from Iceland and I understand most of the lyric to this song, though it doesn't make much sense, but normally they are just singing gibberish with one or two Icelandic words in there

  • not really

  • that's only on the untitled album. this text has a vage meaning to it :)

  • they are singing icelandic, in this song at least. they sometimes do sing in an invented language.

  • True. You could do this with alot of songs not in english.

  • haha

everytime the dashhound comes on i kill myself laughing XD

  • Excellante

  • Haha I've never thought of how ppl who don't understand Icelandic hear the song :) Really funny, but hard still try and sing along in th misheard lyric when you've learned the real lyrics

  • hahahahahaha... i laughed a lot

  • Ha! I love the dachshund who shines a lot!!! Lovely "translation" :)

  • that was really funny

  • this is a lot funnier when you know what they're actually singing about. (I'm Icelandic btw)

  • Algjör snilld! Great vid. Nice editing. Það eru bara vitleysingar sem hafa ekki húmor fyrir svona.

  • u know sigurrós actually sing about jumping in puddles of water.... i meen its nothing beautiful about this.... and if u actually understand icelandic its not beautiful its funny... ohh and a little tip, people who are saying that are saying things about other for example saying they have a small penis is related to you defending your own little "manhood" you should think about that :)

  • haha this is funny, but it is an amazing song

  • haha its not what there actually saying but its funny as fuck LOL haha

  • ok im an icelander this is the most bullshit i have ever seen !!!!

  • being able to talk and understand Icelandic, this makes no sense :P

  • Icelandic is awesome pal.

    You should try it =D

  • ég kann íslensku. Var að segja að ef maður kann tungumálið þá meikar þetta ekki sens.

  • ahhahahhahah faggot

  • i had no idea it was in english

  • its becouse its not in english its icelantic

    douche!

and i know becouse im icelantic

  • LOL

  • " blow my slit "

lmao this whole video makes me luagh

  • this is the best dude!!!

    I was laughing to tears!!

  • I laughed so hard when I saw this... "the daushound who shines a lot" has to be the funniest. I had tears coming down, I was laughing so hard!

  • "spinning around and around, holding hands, the whole world a blur, but you are standing - soaked, completely drenched no rubber boots (something something???) and the outdoor smell in your hair (???) with my nose, jumping into puddles, completely drenched, soaked with no boots, and I get nosebleeds but I always get up" -- hmm, I think it goes something like that

  • Comment removed

  • And if the dashound - who shines a lot! HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • hahah for example.., We're living early no 1:08 (He's really saying: Með nefinu mínu witch mean With my nose (he's talking about smelling btw...) an also for example : Only if I blow my slit 1:40 He's really sayin: OG ég fæ blóðnasir wich means an i get nose bleads

  • oh my days, the dashhound bit sent me into a fit of giggles!

  • hahahaha, I'm Icelandic, so I understand what he's really singing about... this is so funny!

  • I died laughing @ the "We live early, no" anti thing. LMAOOO.

  • This is infinitely superior to the similar video except for the title and main refrain. "Happy Potluck" is just priceless.

  • It's not even all Icelandic. It's some made up fairy language.

  • ...or so I've been told. What the hell do I know from Iceland... other than the fact that I want to lick Hafdis Huld in a very dirty place.

  • It's icelandic allright.

  • It is Icelandic, and they also have a mixture of their own language 'Hopelandic.'

  • ha ha this is funny i am from Iceland so this is extra funny for me. I could never have connected these Icelandic words to english like this hahahahah Brilliant all dams still handled means lets hold hands hahahaha i love this :) fyrir ykkur íslendinga þá er tungumálið okkar greiniæega misskilið snild. þetta er eins og benny lava

  • DUDE NICE!!! HAHAHAHAHA

  • LOL "only if i blow my slit, dacshound that shines alot !! haha he is actually saying " og ég fæ blóðnasir en ég stend alltaf upp"

    I love this ! it´s so funny !

  • LOL daschund who shines alot. wow

seriously tho this song is really awesome

  • Hahah

    excellent song.

  • one of the best songs i´ve ever listen. congratulation to this fantastic band from austria to iceland !!!

  • Well i´m icelandic and i translated just a small part of the song so you others can see what the song is really about:

    Brosandi(smiling)

Hendumst í hringi(thrown in to cirkles)

    Höldumst í hendur(holding hands)

Allur heimurinn óskýr(all the world blurred)

Nema þar sem þú stendur(exxept where you stand)

    Eldheitur(burning hot)

    Allur rennvotur(all soaking wet)

It was not that easy to translate, beacous it is very hard to hear what they are saying, even thoug you´r icelandic.

  • very funny!

  • hahahahahha

im from iceland and i cant understand how you people can hear that haha its nothing like the lyrics hahah

umm well i think its funny =]

This Is So Clever, When It's Written In Front Of You

  • icelandic or otherwise, i love this song so much that i'd sing it (out of tunes of course!) on the top of my lungs when i'm drunk, still can't believe that this song is sung by a guy though

  • no, but this song is actually in icelandic and not vonlenska.

  • Are you an idiot this is Icelandic the most beautiful language in the world not vonlenska

  • well not really, i think Finnish is better.

  • You can't make this stuff up. The lyrics do actually sound like that! I have no idea if the original lyrics are entertaining, coz I don't speak Icelandic.

  • If only the real lyrics were this entertaining. I like that the plated people can still hear her.
