The caption is misleading. There is not one original Temptation in this bunch. The Temps are my ALL TIME favorite group. I haven't seen a group that smooth since. Sure there have been a lot of good and smooth group but the Temps do it for me every time. The last great album the Temptations had was Phoenix Rising with Otis, Ron Tyson and three newer members but it was a GREAT album. EVERY track was good. Took you back to the days of the original Temptations.
it is about opinions,but if you call the great funkmaster dennis edwards a fill in, you got to be a hater and a moron! and ollie woodson sure as hell is no fill in, or theo, g.c.cameron, bo henderson, louis price, all thsee lead singers can bring it, otis put no bums in the group.
It's good to Damon Harris but he blew his opportunity. To those who say Dennis group is better than the Temptations must be doing a little to much smoking.
I will never dis repect the new tempt guys,because they will always be a part of the greatest group in the world,and part of a legacy that will never die,but it is wrong when they leave the group,they start a new group,there shouldn't be 3or4 group out there using the tempt name,they all were and is great singer,(who's to say)
Who are those guys?there are to many group of tempt out there singing,i know paul,eddie,melvin,and david are turning over in their grave,no one will ever be able to sing like the original tempt,or replace them,(eddie,paul,melvin,al,otis,)came up with the tempt name,and david came rat after,i give dennis credit,he came about 4 years later,they were, and is the best,i dont knock dennis and his group,he song lead song with them in the early days,(original tempt forever).
I agree, Member changes are never wanted, but the tempts have been lucky to always get good people. There is no reason why the current tempts are any less Temptations than otis, or other original members. I dont think that you can say, its okay if some people are replaced and not others.
i don't think otis and melvin had much of a choice. egos, health problems, behavior issues and the stress of constant touring has plagued all the members. it was good they didn't quit cause all their leads did at one time or another....it wouldn't be a temptations group today
They'll never be as great as paul,eddie,david or melvin especially paul,yeah they still have otis but everyone in otis eyes was replaceable. Otis should just put up his dancing shoes already because the originals could never be replaced only imitated.
You are right willie that There is only one original left, That being otis. However, David was not an original, Al Bryant was the member that he replaced. And I would not call them fill ins, members only changed in the group out of neccecity. If you dont think they are good go see the real temptations, not these hacks. That would Be otis, Ron Tyson ( a member since 1983) Terry weeks ( A temp for over a decade)Joe Herndon ( a fantastic bass) and GC Cameron (formerly of the spinners).

Right, I saw Damon, and the lead was the same guy that was on the "Time After Time" Video. Dennis's group is better than Otis's group.
