The reason Ron Paul doesnt get recognition is because elections are fixed in this way on purpose. The mainstream media wants who the mainstream media wants the country to vote for. Look at what happened with Obama. Most of the young people who knew nothing about politics or his views voted for him, because it was the "cool" thing to do. The mainstream media likes Romney, so they will continue to make him look like a saint until the American people are persuaded into thinking he is the best.

I think Ron Paul isn't getting the love and respect he deserves is because of the aesthetics of him and his politics. Americans have always wanted someone young-looking, in good health, and who supports 'the American way' when it comes to our Armed Forces. That's why they always lean towards those candidates who are like Newt and Mitt. Even though Ron Paul has extremely great ideas, they're worried that he's an isolationist and that he'll cut off most ties with the rest of the world.
