Historically, the earliest versions of quantum mechanics were formulated in the first decade of the 20th century at around the same time as the atomic theory and the corpuscular theory of light as updated by Einstein first came to be widely accepted as scientific fact; these latter theories can be viewed as quantum theories of matter and electromagnetic radiation.
Quantum mechanics, also known as quantum physics or quantum theory, is a branch of physics providing a mathematical description of much of the dual particle-like and wave-like behavior and interactions of energy and matter.
You have to go further my friend, into what the vegetables are made of (molecules) what the molecules are made of (atoms), what atoms are made of, then you will get the point of what Radin is talking about. You're analogy is nothing but a silly strawman.
He's got one big fact wrong. Einstein was appalled by an indeterministic reality like the one Radin suggests and the one that occurs at the atomic level as predicted by QM.
this is crap, pure speculation. he acts as if he understands quantum physics, but he clearly doesn't. (Einsteins didn't even support quantum mechanics, wtf is this guy talking about.)
Don't be fooled by people calling themselves scientists.
@bkjbs762 Any imbecile can say 'crap' and the rest of it, but unless you say exactly what you think is 'crap' and WHY, it's of no interest to anyone. What Radin says is emphatically NOT pure speculation but is predicated on emperimental data. Radin is a scientist thought and through, and if you think otherwise, you have no understanding of the scientific method. Look into the mirror to see who the fool is!
@bkjbs762 The theory behind QM is very abstract, and alienating from reality as we percieve it. Although QM calculations have never been contraticted in experiment, a lot of it's consequences are not fully understood (sometimes not even close to). What mr. Radin does is speculate on what these consequences might be. Speculation has no place in science, and he tells lies about Einstein, so this is crap.
@bkjbs762 Speculation has no place in science? What is a hypothesis, then? I strongly suspect you dismiss Radin because you're arguing from an entrenched 'realist' position that holds that the phenomena he's investigating is impossible. Radin's work (and that of Helmut Schmidt and others) is predicated on the behaviour of nature at the quantum level. Nobel physicist Joseph Jacobson said: 'if psi events did not exist we should still have to predict them from quantum results'.
Definately interesting and worth while reading. I may not be a scientist but what Dean Radin is offering is some pretty cool stuff to put to the test and get regular joes, like myself, thinking. I'm sad to say I may have to come out of the closet and tell my wife I just lost interest in john and Kate's relationship and whether or not thier reality show will last another season . I have other questions to ponder.
For those who don't know, Dean Radin is the foremost world authority on Parapsychology research. He has collected solid evidence from a couple of centuries worth of experiments to prove that there is much more to reality than that which we see.
Wake up, smell the coffee and read his book "Entangled Minds" if you want to know more about your infinite capabilities.
I have read nearly the entire book. Anyone skeptic that reads it, will no longer be skeptical anymore.
If the existence of psi went to trial, it could be proven beyond reasonable doubt with Radin's compiled research. To say the evidence is overwhelming is an understatement.
Limitless Mind, by Russell Targ, I found life altering in perspective.
@RodCornholio No need to go to trial. "At JREF, we offer a one-million-dollar prize to anyone who can show, under proper observing conditions, evidence of any paranormal, supernatural, or occult power or event." No one's even come close to getting the money.
@skierpage No one's come close because Randi has set up the whole thing in such a way that it _cannot_ be one because of the conditions attached to it. You, my friend have just identified yourself as coming from the realm of the Sceptic, a la James Randi. You have more evolving to do, as does Mr. Randi.
@RodCornholio That's only true if you're not questioning and researching him...as soon as you start doing this you'll find out that his biased and that the results of his metastudies aren't highly questionable...metastudies in general are very controversial in science btw because of several reasons that you can look up. It's open to bias for example and Radin really isn't what you'd call an unbiased person...so before you say something like that look at both sides of the medallion
quantuum mechanics aplies to the world of particles...Yes, an electron doesn't have a certain place, but it is inside a certain area 99% of times...so it's not like it can be everywhere. The bigger you go the more locality there is. In our every day world there certainly is locality. Don't let this guy fool you. He doesn't know what he's talking about( he has a degree in electrical engineering not quantuum physics!)
@stauffap I think hes talking a little deeper into the uncertainty. He may have been talking about more about valence electrons? He's getting most of his info from people researching in that field of probabilities and mathematical theory.I like the quote from Albert Einstein "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger n more complex.. It takes a touch of genius, and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction."I know Dean Radin only researchs in parapsychology, but good on him.
/s right. just because someone talks like a scientist doesnt mean he is one. and he even gets his facts wrong. if you are going to pretend to something at least do some research about it.
Why is it not a science? It's apart of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. They perform experiments, and replicate them under very controlled conditions. There have been hundreds of experiments conducted on psi, and psi effects have been proven scientifically.
So I'd have to flip your comment around onto you, and say if you're going to comment on something, do some research.
he is your right. Maybe this has something to do with 2012? and human expectations. Maybe we will shape our future and science will prove that there is a collective conciousness
...this just blew my mind.
thank you dean :)

It sounds like he thinks Einstein had any thing to do with this field of science, what a joke!

I made a stew. But deep down it was not a stew but a bunch of vegetables, broth and meat. The stew is just an illusion?
Quantum Relationships? Somehow they herd themselves into the world we sense, affect, know.
Perhaps the quanta particles, which are rally relationships, are creating time and space, that is, the conditions for the world as we experience it.
Perhaps the evil that we do, and the good, accumulates on the quantum level.
