in june 2008 a doctor wouldn't look me in the eye after a routine eye exam, then informed me there was a tumor in my brain. i'll never forget thinking i was as good as dead, a month before i turned 22. this movie really captured my heart, because i could understand in a way you can't imagine until it happens to you.
I understand what Anna is going through in this movie bcuz my brother had cancer when he was 7 and it was hard....of course i wanted my brother to live but i hate needles. I loved him enough though to overcome that fear just until he passed his cancer. He is now okay and is 9. We went to st.jude children's research hospital and its a great hospital. I am still very much afraid of needles but im glad my brother is still with me!!! <3
I read the book before seeing the movie. I LOVED the book so much, and i prefered that ending....
i really didn't like the movie, i thought it was very cheesy and I didn't like kates scrapbook very much, because they changed her personality around, she wasn't as sappy and sentimental in the book. I do like all the actors though
i agreee with Manny i compleatley bawled during the movie. i saw it with my mom and sister and i was just wow.. its so touching i really do want to see it again. the movie itsself is just a happy sad laugh cry wondering amazing movie. =)
Amazing movie, it touches the soul of whoever whatches it... same goes with the book (to me BOTH the book and the movie are amazing despite the change of ending). Jesse Fitzgerald is cute! love Evan Ellingson..
One of my first books to read by Jodi was The Tenth Circle, and even though they turned it into an actualy Lifetime Movie, it still lived up to the book. I love this book though, havent seen the movie but I know I will definitely cry when I tear up at the trailer!!
love the movie but the book was better! cant believe they changed the end not the same, also i feel like campbell alexanders love interest in the book was crucial but its not in the film, i understand it wouldve made the movie long but who cares!! love long movies!
i totally agree! the book was really, so so so good, but the movie, though not in the same way inspiring as the book, was inspiring nonetheless. the book was really well written. and thankfully they changed the ending, as compared to the book? else, the cinema would be flooded with tears if they had adapted the book's ending. BRAVO!!
I balled to this movie in theature I was still crying when walking out and im 12. Its just a great great movie and I know everyone will be touched by it.
No it's not scary or innapropriate. Well . . . I don't know. Ask your parents. But it's just really sad. Ya know? Like it's not scary really but it's a little scary because the girl has cancer for goodness sakes! But i think it would be fine for you to see.
it's not inappropriate. you will find something that you can relate to. It is deep and sad but teaches you life lessons and forces you to question things. I didn't really cry, probably because i read the book and imo the book is def way more powerful. But see the movie for what it's worth! the acting was great!
This was the most AMAZING movie ever.. I saw it with my 2 sisters, and my sisters boyfriend, and I cried.. It is an amazing movie, and i never cry either to be honest.. so this is a very great, exellent movie.
Jodi Picoult was talking about her new novel Handle With Care on BBC radio last night! Well morning at 3am or so! I was making salads alone at work and couldnt turn her off she is very interesting! A MUST interview to listen to! Try BBC website. Never knew her or her name but they said My Sisters Keeper in passing. Not a word about the TV or film though. Did any of these ladies give the real credit to Jodi? This lady has the best personality of a writer since Stephan King!
I'm extremely excited for this movie, but i HAVE to read the book first! AHH! Okay, I'll watch the movie first since I'm busy reading the other book written by Jodi Picoult, "Ninteen Minutes."
ugh Manny you are so lucky that you get to see movies before the rest of us! and on top of that you get to meet the cast! guess i'll have to become an interviewer. jk. nice interview. cant wait to see this movie!!!
