  • What's the title of the song?

  • But i don't want my joints to be bent :(

  • Would like a bit more on use of pole for initiating turns. Very good video.

  • That guy at the beginning needs to stop dragging his uphill pole

  • sticks are for kids! get a snowboard!

  • These videos are awesome. I learned many things about skiing I never knew before.

  • it is so dirty

  • 0:52 rofl they would

  • great , ty for all videos :X

  • Im going skiing in half an houre and I need to know how xD

  • easy to say and to implement at so well prepared and long slopes :) and i believe these movies are not made in Danmark at all. at chapter 0 lector said something about Alps skiing thus I conclude that it must be Austria, France, Italy or Switzerland

  • Very informative, thank you!

  • excellent! very informative and kept it simple to be understood easily!! good job! very helpfull as well for us beginners.

  • You're right - shin bite is something you can try and minimise by having well fit boots and technical ski socks that don't wrinkle causing pressure points and therefore bruising ! But if you are skiing for a week, once per year, your shins will always be a bit sore - not sure there's any way around it really ! Good luck

  • Every time I ski, my chins end up hurting like crazy. Anybody have tips for this? When he talks about leaning forward I'm telling ymself aww crap, chins gonna hurt like crazy at the end of the day..

  • machine ? XD 1:27

  • My butt sticks out like that and it makes to skiing at backseat and gives me back pain. I'm gonna move my hip forward next time i ski

  • Simple, clear, easy...

  • Great going skiiing for first time next week so these videos have been really useful! thank you

  • Thanks!

  • I want your job!

  • @iHateyuall

How stupid can u b to post such a comment! The man is Danish, and he certainly skis pretty nice. So, think a bit if u have just a little brain be4 leave such nonsense

  • @VictoriusMagnus

I'm simply stating a fact.. have u ever been to Norway? All the ski slopes are crowded with danes.. and they suck... bad.. so even if theese instructors are better than 99% of all danes... DANISH PEOPLE CAN'T SKI!!!

  • @VictoriusMagnus denmark has no mountains, atleast the highest is like 140meters high, which is really not high at all

  • THX!

  • thanks a lot for this videos!!!!!!!! ciao ciao

  • i'd distend her bottom

  • lmao

  • Why is it showing a girls butt?

  • "Six of the best Danish ski instructors"

lol that's kind of funny :P

since denmark don't have ANY mountains!

  • @napalm9 Hey... We have mountains in Denmark.... Small yes.. But they are there :)

  • For those of you saying the video gives bad advice, please refer me to some better skiing books or videos. Thanks.

Or supporters of the video, let me know if you think these videos are solid and why.

  • thank you unless i earn some basics

  • thank u for this video is very helpfuly

  • wow epic fail

  • very wrong i have been skiiing for 6 years i will make a video if any 1 wants me to in the winter

  • i have skied 10 years and im still watching learn to ski videos lol

  • ok so 1 make nice carved turnes. From the first video. The second video: The basic position: 1 make sure that you don't lean back to much or you will lose your ballance so keep your hands where you can see them.2 Make sure that you dont be stiff when you ride because you can lose ballance and get hurt, so get down in the basic position to get a feal for the terain and stuff. 3 Dont have your skis to close or you will be to stiff, make sure that they are 10 to 15 cm away

  • I really like this program its really helpful!! But I am going to sign up for skiing lessons just becase I want the most help since I am a slow learner haha

  • extreamly helpful...the first time i went skiing after i watched this vid i was completely fine without an instructor...

    Gd work :)

  • looooool come on it was useful man

  • I personally enjoy doing things not perfect and switching stances for different feelings and fun on easier hills, but theese videos are very helpfull

  • Much helpful

  • Hey Quick lokk and lotsa negative comment. I think this is a good video series. We only get to ski well by skiing with awareness but there are some good tips here.happy new year to all :)

  • FRESHENUP,

Adj.1.educative - resulting in education; "an educative experience"

instructive, informative - serving to instruct or enlighten or inform

  • very educative! Thanks.

  • looks like you need to be schooled some more. It's 'educational' not educative!

sorry, no offence...it had to be said

  • haha.. its educational

  • well as someone that was thinkin of learning its put me right off........ spends too much time on the negatives.... balls to it

  • simply bad not to closing the skis? wtf?

for beginners, ofcourse it is bad, but not for advanced/exp. skiers I think (except on very bad terrain)

1 more thing: the bigtoe pressure, 1 of the important things to learn

    btw, 1st things to learn:

    what is hill-arm, hill-leg, valley-arm, valley-leg

    how to move in ski-boots

how to move with skis on the leg in V-shape

learning begins on blue signed skiruns, etc.

  • you are dumb this is a video for people trying to improve their skiing, not try it for the first time. and pig toe pressure isn't that important, that is used to correct bad technique, more importantly pressure on your shins from your boots.

  • dumb? :)

    well, I wrote what I wrote;

i've been skiing for 20 years and now im 24... pressure on ur shin? well this is it :) if u do bigtoe (not pig) pressure, then ur legs will be fine, and u'll get ur shins pressing ur boots

+the big toe stuff gets u stability

ofc. if u want to go faster, less bigtoe, more heel pressure; extreme situation (deep new snow): only heel

BUT 4 BeGgInNeRs on a prepared piste: big toe ;)

and this video is: "Learn to ski", not "Improve ur skiing"

  • Your body might be a taperstry of fibonacci relationships. Mine however is a cheap rug of beer related fat. It is the art of trying to balance this on two planks that I seek to perfect.

  • Hmmm. You really are a dick head aren't you? It was sarcasm. You know, 'ironic humour' in response to a funny previous post. I'm sorry if that one passed you by. Of course I'm not fat and I'm actually a half decent skiier. In future engage your brain first if you have one.

  • i doubt you're a pimp or a skater

  • @patrick2976

Your comment has made me laugh for two hours straight. You rock dude.

@chubbblover...Put down the pipe. Put down the frickin' pipe. You must be so high you're stuck to the ceiling fan.

  • Yup. It's a bit like the golf swing. Sometimes you've got to put the book down and just hit the bloody thing....

  • Before I was 10 I understood that to become a great skier I had to shift my primary focus away from learning how to ski to that of thinking how to ski. The body is a taperstry of fibonacci relationships. The angels, acceleration of angle change, weighting, speed of weighting change etc should be based on fibonaci relationships. It just that simple golden spiral is found throughout nature & the best of the best of the best think of approaching skiing based on the golden spiral.

  • wtf?

  • lol

  • HAHAHAHA that is the single most awesome comment I have ever seen on youtube, there needs to be a best of youtube website created just for you

  • not to mention the wind factor

  • "Lean forward and press you shins on the front of the boot" With feet tight together as well eh! This is just appaling advice, it's you who should be taking the lessons!

Join a race club and learn how it should be done!

  • This is a good and wellpresented series for anyone learning to ski, period. Some years ago french instructors tried to ban danish instructors from their resorts, but that was only because they felt threatened by the talented and friendly danes. That may be the cause of some of the more "serious looking" bad comments from "professionals".

  • lol yeah the women are shown falling on their faces, i just noticed that. good vid but didnt help me much. harder than it looks

  • In this WHOLE series of videos they have consistently showed only women doing "incorrect techniques" and men doing correct ones...

    WTF ?

  • thats life!

  • I know, awfull isn't it. But the women in the vid only went along to 'please their husbands' they've been skiing that way for 25 years despite masses of classes. Still, I expect they will be stopping for hot chocolate soon! After all it's nearly 10.30.

  • WTF??? In this chapter 2 out of 3 bad skiers shown are male skiers! Open your eyes please!

  • i totally agree

  • Complimenti!!!Molto interessante...

  • not forward, but central

  • You know that, I know that, Why don't they??

  • Where are their helmets?

  • duude...lets go skiing!!

  • great tut but the guys voie really pisses me off

  • as i thought! i wasn't in that position and here i am in bruises.

  • Excellent movie

  • the video is excellent, but the music sucks

  • @nachoazocar well it doesn´t distrackt you :D

  • skiing is a dream come true, something out of this world

  • They haven't even got the basic balance point

identified correctly - they say one thing but they do another...groan.
