what..hawaiians dont like the name of the movie..thats it,they didnt protest against Q'Orianka Kilcher playing a hawaiian princess,i heard shes native american n european descend, they didnt protest against that by saying we need a hawaiian to play a hawaiian princess,LOL,funny thing is they went crazy when it was announce that the rock gonna play kamehameha, they yap he wasnt hawaiian, come on,Q'Orianka Kilcher wasnt hawaiian either, anyways,it shows hawaiians dont like other polynesians.
@fmoa. Yeah Pretty much. To think that Hawaiians are barbarians is not only an insult, but a direct lie! We Hawaiians are actually peace-loving people! No matter who you are, we always give you the "Aloha Spirit and Morality"
@DeltaEagle7700 right on! that's telling the truth we don't judge others either and were open and loving to everybody i wonder why so much people are hating on us here makes me wonder whats going on. why do people keep saying we hate haoles? why do people keep saying we hate anybody that isnt hawaiian? i don't hate haoles i got choke friends that are white they seem down to earth and we all get along i wonder if people are doing stuff to haoles and were getting blamed for it.
@KaaiHawikia. (#1) Me either! I don't hate haoles or anyone who's not of Hawaiian ancestory in general! It would be a disgrace to His Royal Highness if I did! I think I know who is doing this vicious cycle of "Hawaiians and haoles" I would say U.S. government is to blame for this cycle. You see, the Hawaiian Kingdom was a multi-ethnic nation and everyone co-existed peacefully reguardless of their race or ancestory! Everyone had equal rights and all. Compare to America, everyone was divided------
@DeltaEagle7700 oh yeah i see what you mean and thanks for the response you are right. I am new to you tube so i wasn't sure you would get my message so thanks a lot. But your right Everyone is still equal and was equal in the Hawaiian Kingdom no racial discrimination was here until that happened. But we get along with everyone and show aloha still. I'm proud to be from here because hawaii is so diverse and multi-ethnic like you say. thanks a lot you give me something to think about. Aloha
@KaaiHawikia. Your welcome! :) Oh, yes of course. Despite the fact we're under a illegal military occupation, nevertheless I, myself still remain steadfast in tridition of the Spirit of Aloha to the people of Hawaii and the world! Yes. Indeed! Declared by the King Himself, the Hawaiian Kingdom a multi ethnic nation! There were Japanese, Chinese, Amercian, European, Portuguese, etc. All equal to each other and under one nationality! BTW, did you know that "Hawaiian" is actually a nationality?
@DeltaEagle7700 i did know that thanks anyone who came to the kingdom and became a citizen was considered a national right? so that means if they weren't hawaiian of a bloodline or something they were hawaiian by national status as we used to be our own nation. i think that's pretty cool and people need to remember that but as america does that blood percentage thing on us that causes division which i think is pretty dumb other people don't get that done to them so why should we its stupid.
@KaaiHawikia. (#1) Your welcome! Yes! Anyone who came to Hawaii from a foreign country, reguardless of their race or ancestry were eligable for Hawaiian national citizenship. They did not have to be Native Hawaiian, blood or ancestry. You can be born in Japan, China, America, Europe, etc, and come to Hawaii, and still be eligable for Hawaiian citizenship. Because Hawaiian is a nationality like "American" And, of course, those who were granted Hawaiian citizenship became nationals of Hawaii.---
@KaaiHawikia. (#2) Yeah, I think its cool too! Moreover, I found it extrordinary at first! Indeed! People do need to remember that! That, to me, is one of the first basic steps of unification---ending of the haterade and division of the people of Hawaii. Yeah. America's "blood percentage" thing does not help at all! It divides the people and all! That's not what Hawaii is all about! It is not only dumb, but a great unhappy thing! And me too! I believe too myself that we're all equal! Always! :)
@DeltaEagle7700 I think so to! once thats done away with i think it would be a relief to everybody and would sure go a long way towards ending the hatred. Hawaii is not about hate so that's why i was surprised at all the hate and negativity i was reading here about people in hawaii. it does look like a lot of people are unhappy makes me worry how were viewed by people who are not from hawaii and are reading these things to and don't know us. a unified hawaii sure looks good right about now.
@KaaiHawikia. (#1) It definitely would go a long way towards ending this hatred cycle! Futhermore, it would spark a lot of questions! Questions that would make people wonder whether if they have been taught lies! Yes. That too also makes me worried too-- our image to the world! Our image when the Kingdom was around was like, to me, the symbol of peace and equality! Currently our image under the "bedsheet" is full of victimization and pain towards one another! Indeed! Hawaii people definitely---
@DeltaEagle7700 but ending the hate is something im all for and if that's gonna happen people need to learn more truth once its out there then okay i am guessing it will help not sure how much but hopefully more then expected maybe then when they learn more it will help people come to their senses.
@KaaiHawikia. (#2)----needs to unite! Especially if Hawaii wants to have its national government restored! I fear the consequences if Hawaii's people are not unified if the nation gets restored! Too much damage our "Dark Lord" has done to not only to Hawaii itself, but to the people mainly! Its completly unimaginable!
That's why as a start, I not only project the triditional image of Hawaii to the world, but to mainly its people of all ethnic backgrounds! The Spirit of Aloha!
@DeltaEagle7700 I respect what you are saying. The projection of Hawaii should be a traditional one not forgetting to put the old mix in with the new while we are modern now but still intuned with our old ways its a good start. courtesy respect and love for everybody should also be projected and not forgotten. But there has been a lot of damage so i think that people forgetting that would be difficult. I think that if people are willing to forgive that should be the question to ask.
@KaaiHawikia. (#1). Oh, yes. Of course. Gotta keep intact the old ways of love and respect, but also mixing it in with the modern ways. Yes. Getting rid of the damage that has happend to the people is going to be very difficult. I, myself, too, is unsure if a unified Hawaii is possible considering all the anger and the powerful effect that has twisted the peoples psyche. But yes indeed, I too, wanna try to end all this hate and division towards one another. It pains me a lot to see it!
@DeltaEagle7700 it pains me too very much but to me after seeing all this it looks like the division was promoted on purpose so that is very painful to see and hear about. I like everybody doesn't matter much to me i must have friends of ever single race you can think off but like you i was shocked at first by what i was learning and seeing and then i was angry too! but then as i searched more i remembered that hate is not the path i should go down and so i thought to that learning more helps.
@KaaiHawikia. Yep! It is very painful! Me too! I like everyone reguardless of their background! Our country may be under a hate and divided rule, but that does not mean we cannot have friends of different backgrounds! Exactly! Like you said, I cannot hate people because others want me too. Once again, on my part, I would be disgracing His Royal Highness! BTW, "His Royal Highness" I'm refering too is HRH Dominis, who was HM Queen Liliuokalani's husband and was Prince of Hawaii when She reigned
@DeltaEagle7700 cool me too i wouldn't want to disgrace anyone either and yeah no one said we couldnt all be friends if we wanted too. i think thats great you have your mind so focused but at least you look and learn. I dont think anyone was doing anything wrong really it was more like how they were getting the message. so many details people can get lost or pushed in a different direction so as you have patience you could see it. All groups not just one thats the way to think.
@KaaiHawikia. (#1). Hmm. Yeah. No one is not doing anything wrong. Everyone is just being taught lies and bad things! And unless they are told the truth, theres nothing to spoil that illusion, which is very sad! Yeah. No one does not want to be victimized in this case. But I could not blame them of their anger seeing how we all have been taught lies throughout our entire life. However, nonetheless, they also have to look into the deeper picture of what has happend then just the overthrow.
@DeltaEagle7700 i believe that to they must look past that time to there is so much more then just that. why there must be thousands of years worth of history that we all could like into before that time and be proud and remember how it really was here and bring that feeling back. i sure would like people to look beyond the overthrow time to it would help to bring the true essence of hawaii back maybe even open their hearts to warm feelings and how were supposed to welcome and love everyone.
@KaaiHawikia. Mm-mm. Indeed! That's why I consider Hawaii as the symbol of peace to the world. Understanding our history, we never went to war against any nation. Even when they invaded us. And even after they did, the Spirit of Aloha still reigned towards everybody! And I hope so too the actual Spirit of Aloha can be trully reinstated one day! As a start, Hawaii's people need to unify! Maybe starting with one example: What "Hawaiian" actually is! (Nationality)
@DeltaEagle7700 for certain hawaii was a neutral nation after our great King united us and ended all the wars i dunno why people keep saying he was a tyrant i think he understood we needed to be forged together for peace. and yes even when they invaded us we still were told not to fight people keep asking me why did we not fight i say because the Queen was a peaceful ruler so hawaiis people were a peaceful people the spirit of hawaii is the people and land we must unite again.
@KaaiHawikia. (#1) I think so too! His Majesty was wise enough to make sure that Hawaii's people do not get drawn into international conflict! Ah, yeah, I hear that too that people say why didn't we fight when Hawaii was invaded by the U.S. I say to them the reason why we didn't is because Her Majesty told no one not to and second above all, if we had, we would've been drawn into grade-A war with the United States seeing how Marine and Navy soilders and the U.S. Ambassador was involved.
@DeltaEagle7700 Im not surprised you get asked that but were peaceful people by nature but we can get aggressive if were pushed wont ignore to put it out there its true but only if were pushed. but to me i think Ambassador Stevens was put here on purpose for that i think. I read that he was once in Cuba i think and they kicked him out but that he was sent here not to long after that and nobody knew what he stood for. I think it was a set up really to push the Queen out.
@KaaiHawikia. (#1) Me either. My guess is that people have the "American mind" into them. When theres a problem like this, for example, America would fight back. In Hawaii's case, we don't fight back that instantly. I'm not saying that we don't, its just I guess we understand the concept that fighting is the last answer to a problem. Hmm. I think that knida makes sense about Ambassador Stevens. Yeah, he was noted as an expansionist, hence he too wanted Hawaii to be part of Amercia for use
@DeltaEagle7700 I guess for sure that what your saying about the mind set is plausable. america would automatically fight in anything so i guess being what's the word im looking for here diplomatic i guess would not be something they would i dunno respect i guess but hawaii's people and Queen tried that back then and it didnt pan out so yeah hawaii is what it is today. but i think so to that it makes sense about stevens he was put here for a reason and so the rest is history.
@KaaiHawikia. (#1) Hmm. Yeah. Hawaii's people tried fighting back not only in terms of peacefulness, but also in terms of violence. Even though despite that fact Her Majesty told no one not to, I'll give the people who fought back violently credit because at least they tried, as a last resort of course, to restore Her Majesty to power because things at that time were not going good! Oh, yes! Regardless of race, I hope so too justice comes in our lifetimes! And when it does, I hope so too
@DeltaEagle7700 yes that is worrisome but in all fairness do you think that uniting them all can be done? i would like to hope it is i sure wish that would happen i am also concerned about that too. are people willing to unite.all i kept hearing at sessions were if hawaii were to get restored what would happen to them so to me it sounds like no one really cares about the rightness of restoration its always more about well what about us. i do not think they understand that were all equal here.
@KaaiHawikia. (#1) That is a very good question. I don't know right now how the people of Hawaii can unite together. But I'm sure something can make it happen. It has to happen. For at least Hawaii's choosing of restoration can be of all of its people. Not just the people of one majority. At least the transition of Hawaii back to its national status can be peaceful towards its people. I don't know what can make it happen. But when that times comes of restoration, I hope it does happen.
@DeltaEagle7700 you have a positive outlook on things i like that it gives me more to think on. But i have considered a few things if that were possible to unite everyone as i was taught to believe nothing is impossible though it will take time and patience for sure but i think there is a strong possibility it could happen if more people were willing to look beyond terms of money property and such and just listen more and learn that it could be possible but it will take time and a lot effort.
@KaaiHawikia. (#1) Of course. I firmly understand that too! It will take time. As long as it happens in general, that's a good thing. If it can happen at least before Hawaii possibly gets restorated, that's even better! Of course, in general, yeah, the indoctranational mind will be difficult to override. But that's not impossible. If it happend to me and you, I'm sure it can happen to others too! Although of course, yeah, even if they are told the entire truth and who they are, they may say
@DeltaEagle7700 absolutely its not impossible and if unification happens before of if say we do get restored as a nation again that would be much better and i think more beneficial for everyone. I think that we as nation of people have been separate for too long. Now i am Hawaiian and i do qualify and surpass that stupid percentage thing but i do not believe as many of family does also that it is all just about us. I would say that we would really want peace here for everyone not just us.
@KaaiHawikia. (#1) Yes. We have been separated way too long. Its like America's segregation. Even though its not official, it does feel like its here still. Yes! Its is not only Hawaiian nationals that are a victim under this occupation, its everybody in general. Even the ones that visit here. They, along with Hawaii's people, are getting the same indoctranational message that Hawaii is a "U.S. State" blah blah blah. Its hard to avoid the facade! I feel more sorry for the visitors that come here
@DeltaEagle7700 I believe what you are telling me to be true also. Its very hard for people to look beyond the usage of the word state. To me Hawaii is just another beautiful place in the world the name says it all were different then other places or countries were singular and we belong to ourselves. But yes it is hard to talk to people at first but if you just try they will listen they might not believe us at first but if their interest is peaked their minds can be changed i seen it before.
@KaaiHawikia. (#1) Hmm. Yes. They may not belive us, but if those are interested in Hawaii's history, they could learn something! Something they'll never find in an normal American history book! That would help a lot! Although on the other hand, if they do find out the truth, some or most people may make up excuses defying America of any blame of the invasion. But in the end, it does not make any difference. Its just the same general idea. Of course, must show Aloha! Hence, our national flag
@DeltaEagle7700 absolutely educating people properly is the way to go. point them to historical sites or give suggestions on books maybe even try to converse with them without attitude not insinuating that we should be door mats to them just saying try to remain Aloha for as long you can while doing it. Hawaii must be united as one or else we will all remain stuck in one place and thats all its ever going be unification is needed.
@KaaiHawikia. (#1). Yes. Indeed! As a start, I just converse with them. Try to start of basically without getting off track. Hear hear! Hawaii does need unification of its people if it wants restoration as a nation! Otherwise, yeah, we will be stuck in the same situation like before, but I think and fear it will get worse if Hawaii's nation gets restored! I wish they would to drop the hate and educate! But America's educational indocutranation is always taking its toll on each person's psyche!
@DeltaEagle7700 i believe that you have that down precisely! it is like the way you described that many were educated in that way and it has completely ruined their psyche! thats a perfectly apt description well said. Take you and i for starters we were educated that way or surrounded entirely by people who were and yet we are wanting peaceful relations with everyone discussing this matter without any hate between us or for anybody else if we got out of that terrible psyche others can to!
@KaaiHawikia. (#1) Yep. Powerful image of colonialism, it is. Its made to divide and conquer! To conquer, you must divide, and when they divide, they conquer--conquer the way everyone is taught! Yeah, if people do get the bad psyche completely out of their minds and to forgive and learn, I possibly would not worry about the people of Hawaii towards each other if restoration happens! We'll all have something in common and will work together as one possible nation to decide what we want! However,
@DeltaEagle7700 so if we can do it many can to then there would be no need to fear us being restored as you have said and that its very important to think about what it would be like if peoples attitudes dont change whether it happens or not i still would like for peoples attitudes to change anyhow i want harmony no matter what happens and i never thought about that being like the darkside but that got to be true plenty people are angry when they find out so lets hope they find the light again
@KaaiHawikia. (#2). I still would fear about a restorated Hawaii in general. The unification of the people is one of those things, but that is ONE of those I mainly fear above all. Theres more too. The second main thing I also fear is the ensurement of Hawaii's future-- Economic-wise. Theres kinda no straight answer about that. That, I think, we're gonna have to find out in the future. But that is the 2nd main thing I fear about a restored Hawaii. In all respects, to me, everyone should fear
@DeltaEagle7700 five- so if they decided to stay with america after learning the truth and we could get better terms for everyone so we all can live better and in peace i would definitely be all for it. But i think we both can maybe agree on this-that things must change here but it has to be only for the better if were going to all get along and we need to enjoy living here in this place we call home and we need to treat each other meaning everyone with respect.
@DeltaEagle7700 two- But that would mean that more people would have to be willing to get out there and help to explain things in patient way to help bring it about. Its going to take a lot of work as so many people are willing to stay as we are now. And of course their is a lot of people here in the military who are loyal to their country now they consider it there own and i do not fault them for that its going to be hard to change their minds and principals but the problem for me is
@KaaiHawikia. (#2) that they like staying part of the U.S. I won't say anything against that. As long as they know the truth instead of just one point of view, I can live with that. Anyway, hmm, yeah. The hardest thing right now is getting people to listen. Although, I think I know who will listen, for example—non Kanaka Maoli's. You see, most people I'm sure thinks that Hawaii's restoration will be a "race" thing. Of course that will not be ture. Which I hope it will not be!
@DeltaEagle7700 two- and i also realized that though the Hawaiians have been sorely abused and stripped of many things that in that time though they suffered and do still that those who have come here and made their lives here and think of hawaii as there home were just as much a victims as we were. So we do need to consider everyone should it be that we end our suffering by making others separate from us and in turn make them suffer in return no i do not believe that is our way.
@KaaiHawikia. (#2). Whenever I see tourist, I always feel sorry for them seeing how they are told the lies as much as we are told. I ask myself, "I wonder if they know of what has happend to Hawaii." Whenever I see them, I always wish them aloha, as a form of welcoming them to our country. Give them the TRUE Aloha Spirit! Then afterwords, I get the edgy feeling I want to tell them that they have been taught a big lie about Hawaii! But they'll think I'm mental! lol! But it is ture! Yes. We're
@DeltaEagle7700 2- we just have to keep on trying people will come around if were patient a lot probably wont but a lot of others will. You know when ever i see a tourist all a see is another person nothing so different just a person. Sure they come here mostly for fun in the sun but those that go to libraries and visit the historical sites get amazed they actually learn something and they take the knowledge home with them and i feel glad when they do it because it really does help us a lot.
@DeltaEagle7700 3-me to i do the same showing aloha! because i was taught to be kind to everyone its good manners and you show respect for home and family and yourself also by respecting others. its kinda like doing your home and self a good service by showing you were brought up right! and i believe you people give me odd looks when i ask them if they know what happened over here i never thought they might think me mental lol but if that happens to you just point them in the right direction.
@KaaiHawikia. shows that Hawaii is friends to all the world. And must remain that way! Yeah, just gotta find a way to point them in the right direction!
@KaaiHawikia. (#2). Which is very sad! But it can be overrided! And 're-educated'! I just hope the person who "awakes" to the true education about Hawaii, does get on the "wrong" side of things if you know what I mean. Its like the Star Wars dark side!
@KaaiHawikia. (#3) about a restored Hawaii. Though its good to be positive, but one must be wise and realistic for possible consequences. Its like making a decsion, one must accept the consequences that comes with it. Thats why I wonder what would happen if Hawaii gets restored. But anyway, yeah, first things first is unification of the people--ending this educational indoctranation and hatrated of the people. I see high hopes and dreams if this first step is achieved!
@KaaiHawikia. (#3) And when they embrace that, and with more to come, I'm sure more people of all backgrounds will possibly advocate for the restoration of the government. That's the first step. Theres also plenty more steps towards restoration, but that is one of the main steps. And when I myself feel that the time is right, I will advocate myself for the restoration of our government. I too want Amercia out of here! They've made too much of a fool of all of us!
@KaaiHawikia. (#2). It is a good thing Her Majesty told the people of Hawaii not to take up arms and let peace and justice prevail. Lots of people would've been killed if we had fought against the United States. And if we had, I possibly would not exist today and also the vast majority of the people of Hawaii today would not exist today. So I do praise Her Majetsy Queen Liliuokalani for that! And one day peace and justice will prevail! I just hope peace towards each other will prevail above all!
@DeltaEagle7700 But to me with this question i figure that after all the loss of hawaiians she really didnt want to shed any more blood or lose anyone else. the numbers were kinda low at the time about 45,000 left i think or 46,000 and she had to think of all the citizens of hawaii too they would suffer. but like you i really hope justice will prevail one day hawaiis people have been waiting a long time for it hope it comes soon.
@KaaiHawikia. (#2) as a military base. And the rest from that point on is history! Hence, he's one of the main reason why Hawaii is part of America! Hmm, yes! I hope so to that justice will prevail one day. But I hope when it does, I just hope Hawaii's people are unified together! A unified Hawaii is the first golden step towards freedom in our case! Not only will the people know about the truth about Hawaii itself, but also know the truth of who they are themselfs regardless of their race!
@DeltaEagle7700 regardless of race too i hope justice comes sometime in our lifetimes i would love to be alive to see it hope i am when it happens. and if others want america out i would go along with it as long as everyone gets treated fairly.
@KaaiHawikia. (#2) everyone will get treated fairly like before! But I just hope when that day of possible restoration comes, I just hope the people of all race in Hawaii know the truth and who they are, themselfs rightfully. I always fear the worst should Hawaii get restored in general. That's why as of this moment, I do not support a restored Hawaii under the current circumstances. However, I currently believe in it. If all the people unite together as one possible nation under one nationality
@KaaiHawikia. (#3) and we are capable of surviving ourselfs again, and all other possibility thoughts taken into consideration that can affect the proposed restoration of Hawaii as a restored nation and its people. If all goes well and thought out well and people advocate for the restoration of Hawaii as a nation, I will be with them!
@DeltaEagle7700 i think thats pretty much correct if the continuous building stops and we can somehow manage to save more land and natural resources but that has to be saved and stopped pretty much now. and i forgot that they did try to free the Queen by fighting back unfortunately it was not well executed.
@KaaiHawikia three- are they willing to listen to messages we have to say in the first place? will they truly want to examine the history and the truth of it or will they just ignore it as they are doing now. i firmly believe its going to take a lot of time and effort and help from a lot more people then are working now to help make the restoration of Hawaii as a nation again for this to happen. I believe that is the big obstacle as of right now getting them to just listen in the first place.
@KaaiHawikia. (#3) If they are told not only the truth but also what "Hawaiian" really is and is also told that Hawaii was a multi-ethnic nation and how people lived in equality and all that, I'm sure that will grab their attention and will help them learn about their history reguardless what ethnic background they are. But that's one example. The future nation of Hawaii is for ALL its people of all backgrounds!
@DeltaEagle7700 three- and if everyone has a chance to learn more about everything that was really done here and then they decided that they would want to let the past lie as it is and stay with america okay then but it would be then that the choice would be made but at least this time around it would be made clear by everyone that it is what the really want and they understand completely what they are choosing i would be cool with it too. But i would like all of us to have a chance to
@KaaiHawikia. (#3) all victims under this occupation. This is not just about one majority of Hawaii's people. Or Hawaii's people in general! Its everyone! Me too! I want all of us to have a choice of what we want! As long as we can support ourselves and futhrermore find peace and respect with eachother, I’ll go wherever the people of Hawaii chooses to go. I love my homeland too! Very magical place!
@DeltaEagle7700 four- negotiate at least for better terms with america and if that could be possible i think that it would not only help us all but that it would be more beneficial for everyone here so at least everyone doesnt have to feel like the need to prove something or fight all the time. I love this place i call my home the birthplace of my fathers and my mothers im tired of strife we all are my wish is to see peace here amongst everyone and i also would like the lies to stop too.
@DeltaEagle7700 as of right now i also cannot support any single organization its not supposed to be single organizations its supposed to be all together i would like it to be done right and im not to keen on the idea of people going around crowning themselves kings or queens either. i do not believe they have the right to do that to me that is very disrespectful.
@KaaiHawikia. (#3) The only government I reconize is the government that was overthrown by the United States. BTW, I'm sorry. What did you mean "it sounds like no one really cares about the rightness of restoration its always more about well what about us." I kinda did not understand.
@KaaiHawikia. (#2). Hmm. Yes. I too do not support, nor reconize any of these "organizations" Or, yeah, even especially when these people go around and delcare themselfs as the "heir" to the Hawaiian Throne itself. That, itself, is kinda disrespectful!
@DeltaEagle7700 two-But i think the same as you that it is going to be difficult helping people to rid themselves of the hate but i would like to try. I'm not going to lie and say as a hawaiian that i don't feel hurt but! i cannot hate people simply because others want to hate them i wont do it. its going to be difficult to unite for sure but if more people decided to look deeper maybe their minds can be changed from the twisted one they have now. I hope it can change for the better i really do.
@KaaiHawikia. (#2) Anyway, yes ineed. Anger is not the path! That's why I replaced it with intelligence. In the beginning after I discovered our history, going more and more into details, there we're some parts that made me ask a question wondering if I am missing something or am I doing somthing wrong. Getting into more details, I realized that Hawaii has also been the victim of division and hatrde of its people. I realized that this was not about only one group, but everyone of all backgrounds
@DeltaEagle7700 and yeah anger is not good but no one likes to be victims so i guess thats why a lot of people are lashing out i feel bad for them if they looked more they could see too! and i would like that thanks a lot for the offer you would be the first friend i have on here as your actually the first person i met too. thanks!!
@KaaiHawikia. (#2) They should not let anger run their intelligence. Brings unhappyness! Just like you and me: We were both angry when we found out that our homeland was actually a country and it was invaded by a foreign power! But when we got into more information then just what had happend, we realized that there was something else! That's why we replaced our anger with intelligence. And others need to do the same thing! BTW, your welcome! But your channel is not visable. I cannot see yours
@KaaiHawikia. (#3) That was when I replaced every single ounce of anger I had into intelligence. And I want to do the same thing to others—to end this division and hatred. And, yeah, by looking deep into their history, it can change the twisted mind. Me too! I hope it does change for the better. Of course, it will not be easy, but I too want to try it! It would go a long way if Hawaii’s government gets restored! BTW, speaking of friends, if you would like, you can make me a friend on You tube!
@DeltaEagle7700 Once people are able to get an answer to that question and the peoples responses to it then we can know for sure where we stand and what were going to be up against if people want a unified hawaii as so much people are really angry now but if people can change the peoples outlooks that is what will determind where we are going i would like a unified hawaii.but i dunno if that will happen as people are really angry so i dunno will everyone get treated fairly in reality i dunno.
@KaaiHawikia. (#2) I, too, myself, felt anger when I first discovered Hawaii's history. How brainwashed I was! But then I started wondering to myself theres more then what has happend to Hawaii itself. So with more knowledge, eventually my anger was replaced with intelligence. Calm, cool intelligence! And I still have it! That's what the people needs to replace their anger with. If they learn more besides what happend to Hawaii itself, I'm sure they will begin come to their senses!
@KaaiHawikia. (#2)---simply because of their race! In the Hawaiian Kingdom, regardless of anyone's race or ancestry, everyone was treated purely equal! Haoles and Hawaiians altogether! Hence, the spirit of Aloha and morality—love to the world! No one was divided! It’s just when America overthrew Hawaii and annexed it illegally, they brought their “way of life” here: Racism and division! Therefore, the peaceful co-existent equal balance of Hawaii’s people was destroyed! I don't know for sure----
@KaaiHawikia. (#3)---if this theory is accurate, but understanding our history and observing obvious hints, it kinda may be ture. Don’t you think? Peace! :)
@Hawnguy100 Okay will do :) I have to go again Hawn, But when I do have more time you can be certain that I will check more rooms, not only to read what you have written but to also keep a sharp eye on you! LoL Goodnight :) and Mahalo Nui for showing me that.
@Hawnguy100 I'm still here just send it to me regardless if I'm on or not. Okay? I will be leaving soon however so send it quickly if you wish a response tonight. LoL :)
It's the easier position to sit on the sideline and be a sniper rather than a person who creates your own movie and putting it out there for the OTHER SNIPERS to tear to pieces.
You have the right to individual property and the right to your own ideas and right to state them from what haolies brought. As the royals embraced these rights they started to incorporate them. But, to be true to your culture how much haolie ideas do you have to give up? I don't see young hawn men giving up any of it. But, . . .
@curatrix2008... still u fagots didn't have to cheat us of our land, watch the movie because that's exactly the way it happened. and before your obsessed ass replys to "we did not still thee land, your queen signed thee treaty of bull crap in which gave us white man a proper property old chaps, Cherri oh mates, and bloody hell," STFU
Finally, progress. You can only be a good historian/story teller if you embrace all the truths available to you. Liberal Haolies are notorious for looking at things in retrospect without truth of that time. U.S. brought many gifts and advances that hawaiians did not have before. Here's a way for you to privately test your own ideas. If you got sovereignty, what would it look like, a democracy, only royals owning land, rid the islands of all knowledge and inventions haolie?
@Hawnguy100 I shall take your single answer of yup, As a sign that you have been rendered speechless by my statement as you usually say much more. LoL :)
@Hawnguy100 Very true but the thing most others need to remember is that we are all human beings and not one race was meant to be better then the other. Different races, backgrounds, and cultures sure but all special and unique in it's own ways. Each race and culture contributes something special to the world it's upsetting really that most people tend to forget this and feel the need to dominate others. I love my culture I choose it as my favorite but i can still appreciate other cultures too.
@Hawnguy100 True it wasn't given as gift as if to say they thought the culture was better then their own it was taken from them by people who were sent to serve them. As to this issue of education they needed to learn western ways anyhow so that when it became time for them to take their places amongst the other Royals and leaders of the world they would be prepared. It isn't a question really of it being better but more an issue of it being necessary for better relations with other nations.
@Hawnguy100 Agreed we did welcome and accept them and The AAlii's did in fact marry foreigners and even gave some positions in the government. However they still maintained dominant rule over their interests and their spouses never really had a say as to how the Kingdom was being ruled. As for taking" liberties" with our history a lot of people still do that and probably always will.
Wow! i haven't seen any of this footage before i knew they protested the film but i didn't know exactly which points of the film they were arguing against. It's good points they are making though. Maybe soon other movies can be made to showcase our other AAlii's and Hero's of Hawaiian History. Like Wilcox for instance.
Hawaiians completely omit that Queen Liliuokalani relinquished her throne to "the superior military forces of the United States". They make excuses that they had her isolated in her palace and demanded it. But, isn't that the test of a true leader, a true Queen to refuse to surrender even to the death. Without her signature, with out her signing away the kingdom of hawaii, they couldn't have kept hawaii.
@karebear0410 I think they meant "hollywood" in the sense that it's still Hollywood's influenced, be it by a Brit or Spaniard, etc. they're influenced by Hollywood movie making where a story is portrayed & biographical ones are tricky b/c in a film you still need an antagonist to make it appealing & the protagonist has to achieve its goals but only after muddling through the hardships produced by the antagonist. That's the conflict that makes it appealing in Hollywood stories.
@karebear0410 True, it is a diff. side of Hawaii but still inaccurate. The fact is, they were NEVER allow us to show our story. HOllywood doesn't work that way, I should know, i've been in the business.
@Hawnguy100 My history prof. said that history is nothing but a person's PERSPECTIVE of the actual events. And of course I've read that history is written by the victors. So now comes other perspectives & people don't like it b/c it doesn't show the image that they've lead to believe. This is nothing but truth.
@curatrix2008 who brought diseases to us with your measles, took away our native language, haoule thieves, crooks, and traitors, you say we are uncivilized with your lying ungrateful ancestors. id b ashamed and embarrassed. so don't say we need you, cause we'd be better off with you fake piece of trash. chahoo!!Hang loose brah, hanaho,
@karebear0410 . IMDB it lists over 800 movies covering the U.S. Civil War. Differning opinons, perspectives about 'the true history'. Surely, even among hawaiians there are differing opinions on what & why things happened. As you said, it is a beginning. Hopefully, there won't be fear to admit even uncomfortable truths and it can be real.
@curatrix2008 who brought diseases to us with your measles, took away our native language, haoule thieves, crooks, and traitors, you say we are uncivilized with your lying ungrateful ancestors. id b ashamed and embarrassed. so don't say we need you, because we'd be better off with you fake piece of trash. chahoo!!Hang loose brah
@884lifeson . . LOL just remember you are not royal. You have no voice in the old way. Your royals welcomed haoles, welcomed into their beds, welcomed them into their linnage, welcomed their culture, welcomed their education, welcomed their architecture. YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH YOUR ANCESTORS TAKE IT UP THERE
@curatrix2008..ah cracker actually i am of royal blood, and our ancestors did welcome your women in our beds with arms wide open. man what lucky men. and you honestly do not have a culture besides getting drunk, cheating on your wives, and hoe down. so if you got a problem u white cracker, take it up with the natives, and that's not my email its my uncles. mine is ikaika8895@???????....im also 15 so hahahahahahaha, what a maohu
@884lifeson LOL. . . . HAHAHAHA that sounds like every black is a king or queen of africa. In royalty, only those named as king, queen or someone that was going to inheret the throne made decisions. So you are just another whiner. Sorry, little fella, no do-overs.
@curatrix2008... actually bitch I am related to some kings you are just a white whiner with gay kings such as king James. while you are related to mahou in Britain old chap, we have proud people of Hawaii, you just join the bandwagon, sorry,eh listen to this guy everyone arguing with a 15 year old, i find that kind of sad. bloody hell, quite right you are good sir. hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!! man, please, no more, tehaha
@884lifeson . . . they argue to claim, revisit and reinvent history. It's history that gives legitimacy and definition. THAT IS WHY THEY ARGUE, LIE AND REINVENT history
@curatrix2008... now like i said BEFORE...the majority of the population in Hawaii are not Hawaiians, they are mostly Asians and drunk, abusive, bandwagon Whiteys, so why don't you just go lie, steal, rape, kill, and deceive to make history. and haole get a life or a job, your here arguing with a high schooler who owns you and you have nothing on me. i can keep going for days, probably even weeks.Hawaii from the start,Hawaii till the end.
WOW, oh no, you got me there chief, noooooooooooooooooooooooo!, what will i do now, someone please help me,i can't live with myself knowing that, get a wife, and it took you long enough to respond, i was waiting for like an hour,i thought you finally found something better to do like work or whatever, so teehee
NOOOOO WAY, dude whatever your wasting my time and i m wasting my time, your trying to convince heaven knows who about heaven knows what, its like trying to beat a dead horse. So yeah you keep up the good work while i get on with my life. Fa, peace out, going to bed pops, don't ask me for nothing gramps
@884lifeson I didn't take their land. And no one living did. And before ya get all poi boy, remember Killer King Kamehameha killed and took land and power. So has ever other single culture in the world. Now, if you want to go back and can prove who the land was original owned by at the time of creation, we can talk. Stop whining.
@884lifeson. . . Hawaiians completely omit that Queen Liliuokalani relinquished her throne & kingdom. They claim the bad guys wouldn't let her leave her palace. BUT,, isn't the test of a true leader, a true Queen to refuse to surrender even to your own death. How can they simply ignore she signed it away. No one stole it. She signed it away. FORGET THAT LIL FACT???
@884lifeson Hawaii has one of the highest rates of domestic violence and spouse murder. Majority incarcerated are kanaka. Further, rates of rape and incest is extremely high and again the majority incarcerated are kanaka. Ask at the library, the police station or check it out on the Hawaii gov website.
@curatrix2008 Could you cite the sources of teh murders, etc.? I'm curious. I knew of the high incarcertaion but not that they were incarcerated for murder. The Govt. website didn't specify Kanakas as the murders, perhaps you read that elsewhere?
@mamoahina google "hawaii rates of domestic homicide' I think there are 11,000 of them. Also, the Department of Justice National Statistics is a compilation of the facts reported by each state.
@curatrix2008 The one I pulled up (I googled based on what u suggested other key words) , but the one I'm looking at now, whitehousedrugpolicy.gov site for HI, there are no recs. indicating that KANAKAS r the leading ethnic grp of homocides. That site cited 16 other sites, but 1 of them did have ethnic bkgrnd, but specifying only on drugs, not homocide.
This is not a documentary. It's a move. It is a story about the princess. Make your own movie. Just be sure you tell the entire truth. Show how the hawaiian royals were not so different than all royals around the world. They owned, ordered and killed their subjects exactly as all royals do - to please themselves then cry for their own loss of power.
being haoli was good enough for your queens and kings who married them dressed like them, spoke like them, made their buildings like them, sought haoli education preceived all things haoli as a superior. Apparently, the royals thought mating between the natives was good enough for them; but, they married haoli.
@mamoahina vaughn is but vaughan is filipinio. From the spanish influence. The point is that lots of misfits in hawaii join in the hawaiian movement masquerading as kanaka and trying to speak with that voice.
@curatrix2008 Not sure about the people parading as kanaka, gods know we have a lot of those, but from my own experience (not sure about yours) if it comes to Hawaiian issues, they don't pose, they just support us.
@mamoahina don't know if you see it here cause many blacks here pose as kanaka, but it's been common for decades for some fat sloppy blonde yappin in ebonics about discrimination. So, not every haoli is evil. Apparently the royals that spread for them didn't think so. It's just now that those that can't make it want a do-over.
@curatrix2008 Wow, if not Filipinos or Japanese it's Blacks 2? Yet, they look down at us. That's hilarious. But true, not every Haole is evil. The ones that aren't have intermarried, like in my family & into my friends' & other relatives' family. But that's b/c they've assimilated & haven't exhibited any type of egotistical behavior & showed humility. Don't know what you mean abt it happening for decades. How old are you? But then again, Oahu attracks strange people fr the outside.
@mamoahina haolis didn't take your land. Your royals traded it away for acceptance. Now you want a do over although back in the day, you would have had no say.
Look, if you don't like the way this was portrayed, blame the writers, producers and director. Don't blame Q'orianka, calling her barbaric. You don't know her.
I saw it and thought it was wonderful. It showed absolute respect to the Hawaiian people and portrayed the Princess as a person of quality that deeply cared for her people.
but I think they should have researched beter the history and times before they put it all on film so many things happened in the film they are not accurate ... I hear many unexplaned things happened during the filming but ...
most of all many untruths were portraied in this film....
That's generally what happens in Hollywood movies... They make up stuff, put it in a movie, and then people who are stupid enough to believe them, believe them.
The Barbaric Princess. Intimidated by her grace, beauty, intelligence, strength & nobility. Barbaric indeed. It maybe only a movie but we as an indigenous people, born under one Nation, the Nation of Hawaii should hold strong to our beliefs. We should be diligent in our preservation efforts & we are expected to show much respect to our Monarchy. The Kingdom of old Hawaii. The Last Monarchy of these islands died for us. The people of Hawaii. We owe them that much.
I believe that taking care of special details of historical facts would be more accuratte. Is good to protest if something is not as accurate in a history that is so important for the true natives.
@Kanakamaoli007 Yes. But, what is happening is that hawns are leaving big big parts out of the history that doesn't fit into their 'you stole our land' fantasy. They pick and choose parts of history that they can use to promote their cause; but, it's all BS if it's not true. not complete and not accurate.
BS: YOU FULL OF IT. STUPID TO LOOK AT THE PAST HISTORY WITH A VIEW OF THE MODERN THOUGHTS, JUST ANOTHER RACIST, HAOLE HATER, IGNORANT MIND
beyondalohas 1 year ago
what..hawaiians dont like the name of the movie..thats it,they didnt protest against Q'Orianka Kilcher playing a hawaiian princess,i heard shes native american n european descend, they didnt protest against that by saying we need a hawaiian to play a hawaiian princess,LOL,funny thing is they went crazy when it was announce that the rock gonna play kamehameha, they yap he wasnt hawaiian, come on,Q'Orianka Kilcher wasnt hawaiian either, anyways,it shows hawaiians dont like other polynesians.
fmoa 1 year ago
@fmoa. Yeah Pretty much. To think that Hawaiians are barbarians is not only an insult, but a direct lie! We Hawaiians are actually peace-loving people! No matter who you are, we always give you the "Aloha Spirit and Morality"
DeltaEagle7700 1 year ago

Compare to America, everyone was divided------
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 oh yeah i see what you mean and thanks for the response you are right. I am new to you tube so i wasn't sure you would get my message so thanks a lot. But your right Everyone is still equal and was equal in the Hawaiian Kingdom no racial discrimination was here until that happened. But we get along with everyone and show aloha still. I'm proud to be from here because hawaii is so diverse and multi-ethnic like you say. thanks a lot you give me something to think about. Aloha
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia. Your welcome! :) Oh, yes of course. Despite the fact we're under a illegal military occupation, nevertheless I, myself still remain steadfast in tridition of the Spirit of Aloha to the people of Hawaii and the world! Yes. Indeed! Declared by the King Himself, the Hawaiian Kingdom a multi ethnic nation! There were Japanese, Chinese, Amercian, European, Portuguese, etc. All equal to each other and under one nationality! BTW, did you know that "Hawaiian" is actually a nationality?
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 i did know that thanks anyone who came to the kingdom and became a citizen was considered a national right? so that means if they weren't hawaiian of a bloodline or something they were hawaiian by national status as we used to be our own nation. i think that's pretty cool and people need to remember that but as america does that blood percentage thing on us that causes division which i think is pretty dumb other people don't get that done to them so why should we its stupid.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia. Because Hawaiian is a nationality like "American" And, of course, those who were granted Hawaiian citizenship became nationals of Hawaii.---
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia. (#2) Yeah, I think its cool too! Moreover, I found it extrordinary at first! Indeed! People do need to remember that! That, to me, is one of the first basic steps of unification---ending of the haterade and division of the people of Hawaii. Yeah. America's "blood percentage" thing does not help at all! It divides the people and all! That's not what Hawaii is all about! It is not only dumb, but a great unhappy thing! And me too! I believe too myself that we're all equal! Always! :)
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 I think so to! once thats done away with i think it would be a relief to everybody and would sure go a long way towards ending the hatred. Hawaii is not about hate so that's why i was surprised at all the hate and negativity i was reading here about people in hawaii. it does look like a lot of people are unhappy makes me worry how were viewed by people who are not from hawaii and are reading these things to and don't know us. a unified hawaii sure looks good right about now.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia. Indeed! Hawaii people definitely---
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago

DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 I respect what you are saying. The projection of Hawaii should be a traditional one not forgetting to put the old mix in with the new while we are modern now but still intuned with our old ways its a good start. courtesy respect and love for everybody should also be projected and not forgotten. But there has been a lot of damage so i think that people forgetting that would be difficult. I think that if people are willing to forgive that should be the question to ask.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia. (#1). Oh, yes.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 it pains me too very much but to me after seeing all this it looks like the division was promoted on purpose so that is very painful to see and hear about. I like everybody doesn't matter much to me i must have friends of ever single race you can think off but like you i was shocked at first by what i was learning and seeing and then i was angry too! but then as i searched more i remembered that hate is not the path i should go down and so i thought to that learning more helps.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 cool me too i wouldn't want to disgrace anyone either and yeah no one said we couldnt all be friends if we wanted too. i think thats great you have your mind so focused but at least you look and learn. I dont think anyone was doing anything wrong really it was more like how they were getting the message. so many details people can get lost or pushed in a different direction so as you have patience you could see it. All groups not just one thats the way to think.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia. (#1). Hmm.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago

DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 for certain hawaii was a neutral nation after our great King united us and ended all the wars i dunno why people keep saying he was a tyrant i think he understood we needed to be forged together for peace. and yes even when they invaded us we still were told not to fight people keep asking me why did we not fight i say because the Queen was a peaceful ruler so hawaiis people were a peaceful people the spirit of hawaii is the people and land we must unite again.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 Im not surprised you get asked that but were peaceful people by nature but we can get aggressive if were pushed wont ignore to put it out there its true but only if were pushed. but to me i think Ambassador Stevens was put here on purpose for that i think. I read that he was once in Cuba i think and they kicked him out but that he was sent here not to long after that and nobody knew what he stood for. I think it was a set up really to push the Queen out.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 I guess for sure that what your saying about the mind set is plausable. america would automatically fight in anything so i guess being what's the word im looking for here diplomatic i guess would not be something they would i dunno respect i guess but hawaii's people and Queen tried that back then and it didnt pan out so yeah hawaii is what it is today. but i think so to that it makes sense about stevens he was put here for a reason and so the rest is history.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia. (#1) Hmm. And when it does, I hope so too
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 yes that is worrisome but in all fairness do you think that uniting them all can be done? i would like to hope it is i sure wish that would happen i am also concerned about that too. are people willing to unite.all i kept hearing at sessions were if hawaii were to get restored what would happen to them so to me it sounds like no one really cares about the rightness of restoration its always more about well what about us. i do not think they understand that were all equal here.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 you have a positive outlook on things i like that it gives me more to think on. But i have considered a few things if that were possible to unite everyone as i was taught to believe nothing is impossible though it will take time and patience for sure but i think there is a strong possibility it could happen if more people were willing to look beyond terms of money property and such and just listen more and learn that it could be possible but it will take time and a lot effort.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 absolutely its not impossible and if unification happens before of if say we do get restored as a nation again that would be much better and i think more beneficial for everyone. I think that we as nation of people have been separate for too long. Now i am Hawaiian and i do qualify and surpass that stupid percentage thing but i do not believe as many of family does also that it is all just about us. I would say that we would really want peace here for everyone not just us.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia. I feel more sorry for the visitors that come here
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 I believe what you are telling me to be true also. Its very hard for people to look beyond the usage of the word state. To me Hawaii is just another beautiful place in the world the name says it all were different then other places or countries were singular and we belong to ourselves. But yes it is hard to talk to people at first but if you just try they will listen they might not believe us at first but if their interest is peaked their minds can be changed i seen it before.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia. (#1) Hmm.

KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia. (#1). Yes.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 i believe that you have that down precisely! it is like the way you described that many were educated in that way and it has completely ruined their psyche! thats a perfectly apt description well said. Take you and i for starters we were educated that way or surrounded entirely by people who were and yet we are wanting peaceful relations with everyone discussing this matter without any hate between us or for anybody else if we got out of that terrible psyche others can to!
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia. However,
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 so if we can do it many can to then there would be no need to fear us being restored as you have said and that its very important to think about what it would be like if peoples attitudes dont change whether it happens or not i still would like for peoples attitudes to change anyhow i want harmony no matter what happens and i never thought about that being like the darkside but that got to be true plenty people are angry when they find out so lets hope they find the light again
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 five- so if they decided to stay with america after learning the truth and we could get better terms for everyone so we all can live better and in peace i would definitely be all for it. But i think we both can maybe agree on this-that things must change here but it has to be only for the better if were going to all get along and we need to enjoy living here in this place we call home and we need to treat each other meaning everyone with respect.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 two- But that would mean that more people would have to be willing to get out there and help to explain things in patient way to help bring it about. Its going to take a lot of work as so many people are willing to stay as we are now. And of course their is a lot of people here in the military who are loyal to their country now they consider it there own and i do not fault them for that its going to be hard to change their minds and principals but the problem for me is
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 two- and i also realized that though the Hawaiians have been sorely abused and stripped of many things that in that time though they suffered and do still that those who have come here and made their lives here and think of hawaii as there home were just as much a victims as we were. So we do need to consider everyone should it be that we end our suffering by making others separate from us and in turn make them suffer in return no i do not believe that is our way.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia. Yes. We're
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 2- we just have to keep on trying people will come around if were patient a lot probably wont but a lot of others will. You know when ever i see a tourist all a see is another person nothing so different just a person. Sure they come here mostly for fun in the sun but those that go to libraries and visit the historical sites get amazed they actually learn something and they take the knowledge home with them and i feel glad when they do it because it really does help us a lot.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 3-me to i do the same showing aloha! because i was taught to be kind to everyone its good manners and you show respect for home and family and yourself also by respecting others. its kinda like doing your home and self a good service by showing you were brought up right! and i believe you people give me odd looks when i ask them if they know what happened over here i never thought they might think me mental lol but if that happens to you just point them in the right direction.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia. shows that Hawaii is friends to all the world. And must remain that way! Yeah, just gotta find a way to point them in the right direction!
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 yes we are friends to all i wished more people would remember that drop the hate and educate.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia. (#2). Which is very sad! But it can be overrided! And 're-educated'! I just hope the person who "awakes" to the true education about Hawaii, does get on the "wrong" side of things if you know what I mean. Its like the Star Wars dark side!
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 and im sorry i don't know why you cant see my page i think i fixed it now.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 But to me with this question i figure that after all the loss of hawaiians she really didnt want to shed any more blood or lose anyone else. the numbers were kinda low at the time about 45,000 left i think or 46,000 and she had to think of all the citizens of hawaii too they would suffer. but like you i really hope justice will prevail one day hawaiis people have been waiting a long time for it hope it comes soon.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 regardless of race too i hope justice comes sometime in our lifetimes i would love to be alive to see it hope i am when it happens. and if others want america out i would go along with it as long as everyone gets treated fairly.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago

KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 three- and if everyone has a chance to learn more about everything that was really done here and then they decided that they would want to let the past lie as it is and stay with america okay then but it would be then that the choice would be made but at least this time around it would be made clear by everyone that it is what the really want and they understand completely what they are choosing i would be cool with it too. But i would like all of us to have a chance to
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 four- negotiate at least for better terms with america and if that could be possible i think that it would not only help us all but that it would be more beneficial for everyone here so at least everyone doesnt have to feel like the need to prove something or fight all the time. I love this place i call my home the birthplace of my fathers and my mothers im tired of strife we all are my wish is to see peace here amongst everyone and i also would like the lies to stop too.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 as of right now i also cannot support any single organization its not supposed to be single organizations its supposed to be all together i would like it to be done right and im not to keen on the idea of people going around crowning themselves kings or queens either. i do not believe they have the right to do that to me that is very disrespectful.

@KaaiHawikia. (#3) The only government I reconize is the government that was overthrown by the United States. BTW, I'm sorry. What did you mean "it sounds like no one really cares about the rightness of restoration its always more about well what about us." I kinda did not understand.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia. (#2). Hmm. Yes. I too do not support, nor reconize any of these "organizations" Or, yeah, even especially when these people go around and delcare themselfs as the "heir" to the Hawaiian Throne itself. That, itself, is kinda disrespectful!
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 two-But i think the same as you that it is going to be difficult helping people to rid themselves of the hate but i would like to try. I'm not going to lie and say as a hawaiian that i don't feel hurt but! i cannot hate people simply because others want to hate them i wont do it. its going to be difficult to unite for sure but if more people decided to look deeper maybe their minds can be changed from the twisted one they have now. I hope it can change for the better i really do.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago

DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@DeltaEagle7700 Once people are able to get an answer to that question and the peoples responses to it then we can know for sure where we stand and what were going to be up against if people want a unified hawaii as so much people are really angry now but if people can change the peoples outlooks that is what will determind where we are going i would like a unified hawaii.but i dunno if that will happen as people are really angry so i dunno will everyone get treated fairly in reality i dunno.
KaaiHawikia 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia.
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia. I don't know for sure----
DeltaEagle7700 6 months ago
@KaaiHawikia. (#3)---if this theory is accurate, but understanding our history and observing obvious hints, it kinda may be ture. Don’t you think? Peace! :)

You have the right to individual property and the right to your own ideas and right to state them from what haolies brought. As the royals embraced these rights they started to incorporate them. But, to be true to your culture how much haolie ideas do you have to give up? I don't see young hawn men giving up any of it. But, . . .
curatrix2008 1 year ago
@curatrix2008... still u fagots didn't have to cheat us of our land, watch the movie because that's exactly the way it happened. and before your obsessed ass replys to "we did not still thee land, your queen signed thee treaty of bull crap in which gave us white man a proper property old chaps, Cherri oh mates, and bloody hell," STFU
884lifeson 1 year ago
Finally, progress. You can only be a good historian/story teller if you embrace all the truths available to you. Liberal Haolies are notorious for looking at things in retrospect without truth of that time. U.S. brought many gifts and advances that hawaiians did not have before. Here's a way for you to privately test your own ideas. If you got sovereignty, what would it look like, a democracy, only royals owning land, rid the islands of all knowledge and inventions haolie?
curatrix2008 1 year ago
@Hawnguy100 I shall take your single answer of yup, As a sign that you have been rendered speechless by my statement as you usually say much more. LoL :)
MySide808 1 year ago
@Hawnguy100 Very true but the thing most others need to remember is that we are all human beings and not one race was meant to be better then the other. Different races, backgrounds, and cultures sure but all special and unique in it's own ways. Each race and culture contributes something special to the world it's upsetting really that most people tend to forget this and feel the need to dominate others. I love my culture I choose it as my favorite but i can still appreciate other cultures too.
MySide808 1 year ago
@Hawnguy100 True it wasn't given as gift as if to say they thought the culture was better then their own it was taken from them by people who were sent to serve them. As to this issue of education they needed to learn western ways anyhow so that when it became time for them to take their places amongst the other Royals and leaders of the world they would be prepared. It isn't a question really of it being better but more an issue of it being necessary for better relations with other nations.
MySide808 1 year ago
@Hawnguy100 Agreed we did welcome and accept them and The AAlii's did in fact marry foreigners and even gave some positions in the government. However they still maintained dominant rule over their interests and their spouses never really had a say as to how the Kingdom was being ruled. As for taking" liberties" with our history a lot of people still do that and probably always will.
MySide808 1 year ago
@Hawnguy100 I'm in total agreement with you on that! and yes Hawn you are correct about the treaty and the statue i see that statue everyday.
MySide808 1 year ago
Wow! i haven't seen any of this footage before i knew they protested the film but i didn't know exactly which points of the film they were arguing against.

Without her signature, with out her signing away the kingdom of hawaii, they couldn't have kept hawaii.
curatrix2008 1 year ago
@karebear0410 I think they meant "hollywood" in the sense that it's still Hollywood's influenced, be it by a Brit or Spaniard, etc. they're influenced by Hollywood movie making where a story is portrayed & biographical ones are tricky b/c in a film you still need an antagonist to make it appealing & the protagonist has to achieve its goals but only after muddling through the hardships produced by the antagonist. That's the conflict that makes it appealing in Hollywood stories.
mamoahina 1 year ago
@karebear0410 True, it is a diff. side of Hawaii but still inaccurate. The fact is, they were NEVER allow us to show our story. HOllywood doesn't work that way, I should know, i've been in the business.

@Hawnguy100 My history prof. said that history is nothing but a person's PERSPECTIVE of the actual events. And of course I've read that history is written by the victors. @karebear0410 . IMDB it lists over 800 movies covering the U.S. Civil War. Differning opinons, perspectives about 'the true history'. Surely, even among hawaiians there are differing opinions on what & why things happened. As you said, it is a beginning. Hopefully, there won't be fear to admit even uncomfortable truths and it can be real.

mamoahina 1 year ago
@mamoahina google "hawaii rates of domestic homicide' I think there are 11,000 of them. Also, the Department of Justice National Statistics is a compilation of the facts reported by each state.
curatrix2008 1 year ago

They owned, ordered and killed their subjects exactly as all royals do - to please themselves then cry for their own loss of power.

curatrix2008 is a houli who does not really know anything about the aliis. so why dont you make a movie of your british folk eh,

being haoli was good enough for your queens and kings who married them dressed like them, spoke like them, made their buildings like them, sought haoli education preceived all things haoli as a superior. Apparently, the royals thought mating between the natives was good enough for them; but, they married haoli.

Vaughn Doesn't sound like a hawaiian name to me
LoSupaMan 1 year ago
@LoSupaMan is palani vaughan filipino?
curatrix2008 1 year ago
@LoSupaMan No, I think Vaughn is a German name? But he's been well known in the community for more than 3 decades.
mamoahina 1 year ago
@mamoahina vaughn is but vaughan is filipinio. From the spanish influence. The point is that lots of misfits in hawaii join in the hawaiian movement masquerading as kanaka and trying to speak with that voice.

it gives them opportunity to be a leader in a social movement and get the warm fuzziness of being a victim among victims
curatrix2008 1 year ago
@curatrix2008 Vaghn isn't a Filipino name as far as I know, but he's kanaka. He even played Kalakaua in a film - Damien. He's old school kanaka.

@mamoahina lol you seen his geneology? ask him.

@curatrix2008 I found what I believe to be his father's mother's genealogy.

@curatrix2008 Not sure about the people parading as kanaka, gods know we have a lot of those, but from my own experience (not sure about yours) if it comes to Hawaiian issues, they don't pose, they just support us.
mamoahina 1 year ago
@mamoahina don't know if you see it here cause many blacks here pose as kanaka, but it's been common for decades for some fat sloppy blonde yappin in ebonics about discrimination. So, not every haoli is evil. Apparently the royals that spread for them didn't think so. It's just now that those that can't make it want a do-over.
curatrix2008 1 year ago

Now you want a do over although back in the day, you would have had no say.

bitter cause you never got the part of Kalakaua in the movie...

I'm glad they have a movie about Ka'iulani
but I think they should have researched beter the history and times before they put it all on film so many things happened in the film they are not accurate ... I hear many unexplaned things happened during the filming but ...
most of all many untruths were portraied in this film....

@mperezwaianae

Why don't you stop protesting and start producing! If you don't like it, go make your own movie!
jazzysoranio 3 years ago
I believe that taking care of special details of historical facts would be more accuratte. Is good to protest if something is not as accurate in a history that is so important for the true natives.
Kanakamaoli007 3 years ago 8
@Kanakamaoli007 Yes. But, what is happening is that hawns are leaving big big parts out of the history that doesn't fit into their 'you stole our land' fantasy. They pick and choose parts of history that they can use to promote their cause; but, it's all BS if it's not true. not complete and not accurate.

trust me,he has enough money to produce a movie...
