As regards Christchurch, yes, I know Christchurch very well and I can therefore confirm or let you know that Auckland's weather is far and I mean by far better than that of Christchurch. Please do not get me wrong, I love Christchurch and I am down there regularly. So please, "mature, educate yourself and grow up. Thanks and go well.

Auckland is actually the Sub-tropics, and though it might get wet, it is better than having your veges dying to the drought!!

you really want to live in the south island, lots of green, no problems with gangs and such i reccommend the outskirts of chirstchurch near mount hutt and hamner springs

I lived in chch for three years and its a drery boring ugly shit hole with much worse crime problems. The winter there sucks, it just drizzels for 6 months.

And it has FAR less green, the north is filled with native forrest and beautiful beaches.
