Can someone explain why Irish hunters ride like there isn't a single riding instructor in the country? I have yet to photo or video of foxhunts in Ireland where anyone has half an inking of what a jumping position is, let alone any sense of timing over a fence. Terribly dangerous, careless riding all around I say.
@secretsxkept there is nothing wrong with the way they are jumping!!!! if you knew anytthing about hunting you realise that hunting requires a different style of riding!!!!!.
@secretsxkept go into the Grallagh Harriers video on youtube from foxhunting ireland there you will see some good riders !!! perfect balance and all :) l hounds are fit including The horses and EVERYONE is turn out to the best !!! Im on the Dun pony :)
umm just to let yu know that girlwho called me BITCH, we bought her back a month later because the buyersdidnt like her and now shes fully broken and i love her, also she wasnt lonely because i have 4 horses, BITCH.
well get this , my pony nellay was trotting along the road , and then he saw a horse in a field , bolted , and jumped the field gate , and i fell intoo it and broke my arm :/
IT HURT ! so we sold her and bought a ony called pepsi , whos an angel :)
your mean elling a horse because i want to go see another horse it probelrly was lonely your not niceselling your pony because it does one wrong thing nothing is perfrecct BITCH
but usually the land owner will let one person jump onto their property and get a hound if they werent sposed to be there in the first place. most of the time if the property is prohibited, there will just be a gate..or at least thats how it is for our hunt.
Me mate threw a bag of ball bearings under the horses hooves in Upton upon Severn High Street in the early eighties, funny as F*:! Should seem em slipping about, rearing into the crowd knocking people over, trying stay up, didn't last long though, the bearings soon dispersed people got angry and chased us. If they caught us I reckon we would been in for a kicking, but then again, in our defence, We were only 8 at the time.
Also back in the nineties. I was driving along the country lanes in my battered old Marina, when I had to skid to a stop because some hoorays were in the road with horses and a few hunt followers milling around: On a bend. Idiots! So I papped the horn. Only gently though didn't want to cause anyone to get hurt! The horses gave a little start and the riders started bad mouthing me! So I blew the horn and gave him the finger. One rode his horse against my car!
Cont.d) So I revved up and nosed forward when this old woman and her Son started banging on my bonnet. Well I went barmy. I jumped out shoved her over and chinned her son (who to be fair, put up a better show than his mum did) but he went down like a good 'un . Holding his bust jaw and fractured eye socket. They left me alone then! But I got GBH charge even though they started it!. So now I am anti hunting through and through and I like a good fight in Pershore town boozers on Meet days
in the fox hunts i've been on (my mom's hunts too) we never killed the fox we would just catch him then let him go =] it was catch, no holding him, a few sec after catch let him off =]
Well our dogs are nicer than that - they bring in rats from the yard and then when they set them down their just fine - maybe if people trained their dogs differently, their dogs would do the same.
I dont suppose theres anywhere in Ireland where I could rent a horse to hunt (if I were to come over to visit). Just heard its sme of the best hunting in the world. Of course, I dont know if I'd be able to keep up :)
the Meath in the title i thought was METH!

Wow, that's a pretty high jump! Seems like those who didn't fold properly got left behind on the back side. Folding seems like the way to go.

how you supposed 2 tell a pack of hound to just old the nice fox then let him on his merry way. Bullshit

They are hounds! its wat der for!!! would you not want your dog 2 kill de rats!
god sake wat are u ppl on!
tractorsrock 4 years ago 2
No thats just like saying every dog bites.
When you train a dog to pin something
and then tell is to let it go . He should.
the fox is never touched
Sort of a way a horse cuts a know. Block its way out.
as soon as he gives up you win
