Thriller/Horror/violence = Hellraiser, Omen, Poltergeist(PG,but I was 9 and lame when I first saw it), Rambo, Robocop, Total Recall, Freddy Kruger, Dusk til dawn, First two Halloweens, Carrie, Falling Down (Early Michael Douglas suffering breakdown opposite Robert Duvall's cop), A whole host of proper Kung fu flims (Rumble in Bronx, Police Story). It all went wrong with Scream series, Underworld type stuff and Bourne films where litres of blood and mad camera angles apparently make great films!
