Dear Mr Zaidi,

As a lifelong and ardent fan of Shankar Jaikishan, I say this - there are only two tunes where, in my opinion, an SJ tune played on an instrument actually sounds sweeter than the original song.

One of them is this tune (the other being "Dheere Dheere Chal" played on the violin by Van Shipley).

Your playing is pure magic!

Strange, the last name of the music player was Zaidi also. He was a great player of Banjo and class mates, mostly girls, would flock around him during picnics where he would be bombarded by requests to play some old songs. But he is about 5- 6 years older than you. It was in early 60's in Karachi Un.

love to listen Yaad kiya dil nay kahan ho tum..one of my top fav Indian Duets with a very soft Touch..and Lata Talat duet from Sangdil..and any of sajjad Hussain's compositions..if u can.

Also i wud humble request you to pay attention to some of Pakistani Clalssics..Khwaja sahab's composition wud be tuf but tunes from sohail Rana movies wud really suit you as he used best Piano tunes than many a legends.

Zaidi sahab aik baat par main chahon ga kay aap zaroor raushni daalen.. Keyboard par kuchh new compose karna ya keyboard ka kisi new composition mein shamil hona to samajh mein aata hay.. Lekin jab aap keyboard par koi old tune play kartay hain to kya wo songs behtar rehtay hain play karnay mein jin mein already keyboard ya piano effect ziyada hota hay ya wo songs behtar rehtay hain jin mein doosray instruments use huay hoon?

Modern keyboards are very versatile with unlimited choices of voices or instruments and in an additional section,a vast variety of accompanying patterns of beats, chords drum kits etc. It is a huge and fascinating world with no discrimination or limitations of any kind. One can play everything with equal comfort but lot of hard work and skill is required.

Qibla, main ne to sirf Shailendra Singh ke naghme ke alfaaz ka hi istemaal kiya. Is liye aap ki tareef to unhi ko jaani chahiye. "Koi sitaare luta raha tha, kisi ne daaman bichha diya" jaise meethe alfaaz ko sun kar mehsoos hota hai ke sacchai ke khyalaat ko is tarah bayaan karne mein kuch alag hi khubsoorti hai.
