  • I played this on the Sega CD and again when they made it for the PS1.. ha! ha! both of which I still have..great touching story!

the only rpg that touched me more was Crono Cross!!

  • in 6:29 she walks past a fallen statue that looks a lot like the Greek goddess Athena- for the longest time i thought they were the same deity- because of this.

  • this was cutting edge at that time

  • I'll never forget this game. So damn epic!

  • I miss this game so much. It was second RPG I ever played. The first being Lunar The Silver star on Sega CD.

  • such haunting, beautiful music

  • I only played the PSX remakes and I really did enjoy them. However, I would love to play the originals one day. I'm so glad that Working Designs brought these games over for everyone to enjoy. Truly, the LUNAR series is one of the best RPG series to ever exist, even moreso than Final Fantasy

  • oh no lunar

  • The swan song of the Sega CD.

  • this got a KA rating?!

  • Epic. A great word to describe this game! I have to say, if Beowulf was made into a video game, it wouldn't hold a candle's flicker to the roaring flame of this game's touching and in-depth story. Simply beautiful beyond words.

  • Beowulf WAS made into a videogame. It's quite bad.

  • ... as for this opening in particular, I found that Lucia was very captivating. For her, the focus was on Lunar. She didn't even understand that she was naked. This pure innocence on her part makes her one of the most memorable heroines I've seen in an RPG. Whats more, the music that plays along with her careful walk to the outside gives the entire game a grand feeling; like there's something larger going on than the character can think about ... but you feel for her as she faces that alone.

  • This does bring back some rather fond memories. I played the first game on the Sega CD when I was in the 8th grade and played this one as a Freshman in high school. I vividly remember playing the theme song in the CD player by my bed and even writing down the lyrics to have an excuse to listen to it some more. Of all of the RPGs I've played, this one stands out as the best of them. The characters are rich and relatable, the storytelling was memorable, and the OST was one of the best. Excellent.

  • Sadly I never got to play this version. I'm sure it's much cooler than the PSX version just like the first Lunar was.

  • by far one of my fondest memories game playing growing up. The rich charactors and storytelling, and awesome music. I prefer this version on the Sega CD. Also I like the Silver Star as well, I didnt appreciate the remakes, I could do it.

  • the theme song brings back so many good memories...brings chills. it really makes me want to go buy a sega cd and this and the first game. I agree the remakes aren't the same. the original were much better

  • There's more voice acting in the first ten minutes of Lunar 2 than there was in all of Lunar 1. Amazing they got all that voice work and animation on one disc.

  • I love this game =] i remember when i was in 5th grade i started playing lunar eternal blue and silver star, final fantasy, metal gear solid, and so many more but those are the best games ever, even if they're older and were a little slow on loading but it was worth it =]

  • I...love this game! I wish that they could make a lunar three, but alas, the company is no longer...

  • Working Design, the localization company for lunar, is no more, but not Game Arts. Chances of seeing Lunar 3 is slim with the flop of the DS game, but how knows. If Game Arts revisits Lunar again, I hope some one can be as great as Working Designs was.

  • is my favorite game i never chage it ^^

  • im on the silver star now on my cdx,im getting this one next week

  • The animation is fantastic if we consider when the game came out.

  • I'm playing this game at the moment.

  • My all time favorite RPG, ever. This version is better than the PSX remake, IMO.

  • @edm279 i agree with you! The psx version felt off in my opinion. The dungeons, leveling system and even the story was ten times better on the sega cd!!!

  • Brings back alots of memories. Excellent music. I loved the lunar series. Still waiting for the so called the 3rd part. :)

  • I can't believe the game was already this good on the Sega CD...
