I have a simplified Chinese tattoo on my upper arm near my shoulder. It's just my name in simplified Chinese. No big deal an I love it. And that was Chinese symbols on that persons belly btw. "Comedy" refers to the genre of ancient Greek theatre (which is the opposite of Tragedy, one of the other two genres), where those masks originated. "Laugh now, cry later" is an alternate meaning people have given to the masks, but it damn sure isn't the real meaning of them.
