I loved the big hand-it scared the crap out of me when i was a kid!-John Pertwee was a superb Doctor and in my opinion the 2nd best!!(Tom Baker was and still is the best doctor who of all time)R.I.P. Ah, but wait for Stephen Moffat (the new writer) to get stuck into it, he's more of a Doctor Who purist than Davies is. He also tends to do more subtle storylines, "Blink" was one of his, and genius in my book. :)

There is so much in this episode that epitomises this era of Doctor Who ! What a dichotomy between the brilliance of the ideas, and the rather lamentable (even for 1973) costumes/sets.

I love the idea of this story-it haunted me as a child (must have been a re-run)...
