  • 0:15 is that sirius xm the heat? RNB STATION?

  • leave Sirius alone you sons of bitches..youll learn to like it!

  • I was all for the merger, but now I think it will be the end of Sirius. Its not the same. When Howard leaves so will I.

  • I thought it was going tobe Bollox but I think it worked out for the better but I stil miss my Sirius when I'm in my GMC listening to MX not getting Howard Stern..

  • the sirius/xm merger should never happened. mel karmazin and jon zellner fucked up the channel line up and took The Beat away and replaced it with bpm.

  • I hear that it might be cheaper. Wouldn't you like a cheaper merge than a more expensive merge?

  • rates have gone up since the merger.

  • sorry to say they are one company now

  • Went trew tonight!

  • Someone could run a company into the ground and then they get awarded a ridiculous bonus!

  • What is the reason for giving someone a 300 million dollar bonus? CEO's do this shit all the time with these big companies. Here have a $100 million dollar bonus! Then you wonder why companies struggle and go bankrupt!

  • I have Sirius but I still ask this question, what the hell was wrong with Sirius paying Howard Stern a $280 million dollar bonus while they were in debt? Back when Stern signed onto Sirius they paid him $200 million dollars and then another $80 million!

  • Imagine if there were TWO FMs. But you had to choose one FM over another. And buy seperate radios. It'd be TOTALLY absurd. Sat radio should be the same thing. One company. Competing with each other is KILLING both of them...when they really should be spending their energy competing with terrestrial radio, ipods, hd radio, wifi radio, cell phones etc. Why force people to choose between 2 kinds of sat radios? If you like baseball and howard stern you're outta luck. Its stupid. No merger = no xm

  • Hey. You seem like a cool dude. But what u fail to realize my friend is that your beloved XM will most likely go bankrupt if this merger doesn't get approved, and then you WILL only have one sat radio company! Some even say sirius could go belly up too. Your fear that a merged company would raise prices is not true. It'll actually be less! Sat radio is TOTALLY competing with terrestrial radio. They won't raise prices because people will just cancel. If this merger fails, sat radio is dead.

  • The problem is that if they don't merge they will probably both go away. They are both loosing money. At that point, it won't matter which service you or I prefer. And the radios that we have invested in are then worthless.

Also, if one goes under first, the subscribers to that service won't very likely reinvest in the other after having lost their money once. Which means the survivor network will soon follow the first into the graveyard of cool ideas that didn't make it.

  • I disagree completely. There's plenty of competition, and if the companies merge..they will continue to build off the pultry 5% of the market share they have right now.

Also....if they merge you will get what you have now and then some. How can you not love that? Why should I have to pay for 2 services to get the NFL and MLB on satellite?

There is no monopoly, and there are plenty of choices.

  • thanks for your thoughts

  • but isnt xm going bankrup or they already filed for bankruptcy?

  • Awesome Video! I agree with everything you said. No Merger!

  • When you say Sirius and XM are a monopoly that's just like MAC and Microsoft Windows is definately a Monopoly.

  • @SilentXKnight5204 ya know, there is linux, solaris, redhat, etc etc

lots of sub-culture OS's if you will
