  • Thank you! Thank you man!

  • You look like you need a monkey.

  • @JimiBeckwith lol. Have you seen my monkey?

  • Cool, thanks for posting. I used to love this game. Just found it out actually plays just fine on Windows 7 64-bit! Awesome. If you can't get it to install, drag the game folder off to your desktop, move the two .rez files from CD 1 & 2 to that folder and runs like a dream. Still needs the CD in the drive, but it'll even run off a USB drive!

  • I'm pretty upset to this day that this series died.

  • Thanks for posting the updated download link!

  • @GenieBella No probs, have fun :)

  • cate archer female james bond :D i totally rock her socks off with Crossbow

  • @TheCleardeath I guess

  • @TheCleardeath I was thinking more of the female Austin Powers.

  • @BerryCream78 lol yea she kinda does rofl

  • Criminally underrated.

  • I used to wank off to Archer when she was in one of those tight, latex overalls. I was 12.

  • NOLF3 !!

  • the heck with Lara Croft. Cate Archer was the hottest video game babe ever in my books! Loved the British Accent! :D

  • @mobywv I've never gotten Lara Croft myself. I don't think she's even that good looking. Guess it's all the boobies, huh.

  • @mobywv Lara Croft is British too. And I would say her and Cate Archer are on the same level of HOT!

  • @mobywv you didn't saw Blood Rayne obviously...

  • @mobywv Aye, that's what I'd agree with any on any spot right now where it's hot... or not? :p

  • ATTENTION EVERYONE!! The download link has been now reuploaded. Check out the description.

  • Please, re-upload content.

  • @Yuejinson The updated link is now up.

  • @SinfulOcelot

    thanks

  • I LOVE both of these games!!!, I hiope there is a NOLF3 !

  • NOLF is the best game ever!

    funny, clever, full of action...great!

and contract jack btw sucks donkey balls!!

  • /watch?v=6SwqdNQ9vEk

just the theme in 320kbps (HQ!)

  • link not available. reupload please?

  • @Antphoneigh New link is up now! Sorry for the delay everyone. I wasn't the one with the original link and I'm not used to this stuff.

  • "i dont want to buy a monkey", CLASSIC

  • DOWNLOAD link dead :

Unfortunately, the link you have clicked is not available.

  • @happx2 I just reuploaded the OST using a new d/l link. Check out the description.

  • @SinfulOcelot omg thankyou! i just finished Nolf 1 and wow what a soundtrack.

  • you look like you need a monkey.. very good monkey, only 20$

:D just got to love NOLF

  • NOLF<3 The best game forever! SO COOL! Nolf 2 is not better than 1.

  • I wonder why Cate Archer is different in the game than the game cover? Is it a look back in the younger days for the game cover?

  • @realtalentify Which game cover, specifically, are you looking at? The original one or the GOTY (game of the year) edition? The only answer I could give you is that I'd think that they couldn't manage to get the 3d modeling artist to do the 2d box cover art..... (or simply chose not to).

  • Damn good thing this gets abbreviated NOLF and not N1LF or.. bad connections could occur. 'course I'd go abbreviating it N1L4E but then i'm wierd

  • which 2 bastards pushed ''i dislike'''?:@

perhaps justin bieber made 2 fake accounts and did it....[giggle]

  • Easily one of the most fun and addictive games of all time. But I feel like it's a bit underrated by many people.

  • This is one fun game - Fox Interactive noted but hey! And one of Cate Archer's sobriquets - is "Fox" too! lol

Subject: Honest Cad avaunt - rundown veto

Anagram: Vancouver two thousand and ten

  • I still love this game. I played it more than 50 times love it love it I hope there will be NOLF 3 soon.

  • Remake would be a great thing :)

  • I think both NOLF and NOLF2 were great! NOLF1 was better, anyway.

And i still love this soundtrack and im still waiting for NOLF3....

  • @Grafikbug Lol. What's with the biggest NOLF fans having bug in their names?

  • @Grafikbug Don't forget Contract J.A.C.K. It was pretty good as well.

  • @Itsooz Oh i didnt play that game, cause you have not played Cate :p hehe

  • @Grafikbug Nolf 3 is Contract J.A.C.K. a prequel to Nolf 2

  • @Attonthedude Sure, but you do not play as Cate ;-) And i want a sequel and not a prequel.

  • @Attonthedude didnt it suck? oh well we want Cate which is why it probably did!!

  • I'm sure Monolith is already working on it or at least planning it.

  • @Grafikbug sadly, there will never be a NOLF three. they dropped the franchise :( I wish there was a NOLF 3 though. I fucking LOVED NOLF 1 and two. I played the fuck out of them. I put like 100 hours plus into each before i stopped playing :)

  • @tricksteronline1 even if there was gonna come one think what could happen with all the shitty squels comming out atm, i almost (ALMOST) think we are better off with Gotham Imposters :P (monoliths new project)

  • I wish I could play it again, i got 64bit system and cant >:|

  • @kiarash32 Ahh damn...

  • @kiarash32 is that true??? you cant play nolf with win 64?????? if this is true, I will stay at xp 4 ever

  • @kiarash32 I played through the entire game on a 64bit system with Windows 7 how did it not work for you?

  • @jackgordon38 "Unsupported 16bit Version

The program or feature "\??\D:\SETUP.EXE " can not start or run due to incompatibility with 64-version of windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit windows compatible version is available."

  • @kiarash32

The original release of NOLF had an installer that used 16-bit components, and 16-bit software isn't supported in the 64-bit versions of Windows so that's why you get that error. If you have a Windows XP machine available, you could install NOLF to that, and then transfer the No One Lives Forever folder over to the 64-bit system. If you can't do that, get the Game of the Year edition, it has a newer installer that's compatible with 64-bit versions of Windows.

  • @ColonelAngus75 Lucky me! At least now my fears of getting a Windows 7 machine and not being able to play NOLF on it have been put to rest. Now.... if only the same could be said about NOLF2....

  • @rkmugen

NOLF 2 works with Windows 7 as well, though there is one problem with it. Whenever you first start the game up and load a level, it will most likely crash. Usually this happens around 50% of the time. But once you are able to load a level it won't crash while loading levels anymore until you start the game up again later. Disabling music stops the crashing all together but I like the music and will put up with the crashing.

  • @ColonelAngus75 Did you mean it works on 64-bit Windows 7? Or was it 32-bit Windows 7?

  • @rkmugen

64-bit Windows 7 Professional is what I have and it works. Even Shogo runs fine on it and it's from 1998.

  • @ColonelAngus75 Excellent. Thanks!

  • @kiarash32 i can play on it

  • @kiarash32 same here, I have 32-bit but on win7 and it doesn't play anymore.

At least I got to play this awesome game 1000 times before the new age came in.

  • @kiarash32 Me too ! I tried almost everything!

  • @aasigraa I believe the GOTY (Game of the Year) edition will install and run just fine on 64-bit systems. I have the GOTY version, but a 32-bit Vista machine, and for the moment, I refuse to go 64-bit........... so I can't say for sure. But I have read on some NOLF forums that GOTY works fine on 64-bit..... but older, non-GOTY versions won't.

  • @rkmugen thank u for the information :) !

    x

  • NOLF was an amazing game, but NOLF 2 was a good game in its own right. Compared to hit games released that era (just think Enter The Matrix), NOLF 2 was original, grand, looked superb, had a great soundtrack and was unbelievably funny. It connected flawlessly to its predecessor and was superior to every other game out there.

I guess the only thing wrong with NOLF 2 is that it isn't NOLF: The Operative.

    And it had crappy marketing.

  • @TheMasterpiece911 In all seriousness, I call bullshit. I found both Max Paynes, Soldier of Fortune II, Return To Castle Wolfenstein, Project IGI, Operation Flashpoint among others better games overall. NOLF2 was convoluted and in no way close to the awesomeness of NOLF1. Well that's my opinion at least.

  • @SinfulOcelot hey I didn't say NOLF 2 was better...

  • @SinfulOcelot i agree with u I even think the PS2 port of nolf 1 is better than NOLF 2 believe me the PS2 ports bad but i still ply it all the time

  • @peytonmario Lol. The music's kinda different in the PS2 port. I saw some guys playing it in some store 2 years ago or so. The death screams haven't gone anywhere at least :)

  • ATTENTION.

It seems the download link has gone down. If there is someone out there who still has the soundtrack and knows how to use some file sharing website, please re-upload and send me the new link so I can add it to the description. Thanks a lot.

  • need NOLF 3!

  • The NOLF community is still alive!!! Woohoo!

By the way, I think two people might be harm agents, cause they thumbed down such an amazing soundtrack.

  • The title is choosed by Capitan Obvious

  • this is too great:) thanks a lot for uploading

  • @animeloverandother You're welcome :)

  • The gameplay eventually was too boring and trying to work out the correct path for a mission sucked :L

  • @Bleumange

Then go back to playing MW2 if you have the patience and attention span of an 8 year old. You are the lowest common denominator that game companies cater to now.

  • @iuliusceasar Fuck you. This also applies to the original Max Payne. Despite some golden moments, great characters and general quality, one can't be expected to still be interested by endless, featureless environments one needs to traverse in order to reach a goal. NOLF 2 really improved the gameplay by narrowing everything down to smaller but just as deep sections.

  • @Bleumange

I'll give you the endless and featureless on Max Payne though I did like the game for its story. NOLF had some great environments though and I really liked the architecture and design of some of the levels. If you hate these two classics so much then tell me what games you do like. I still stand by my argument that you have no patience. Yea the stealth levels were a challenge but the reward is greater when you finally get through. Or are you just a quitter?

  • @iuliusceasar I simply said they were low points of the games. Some classics didn't age well in certain aspects as we perceive them today. I'm just saying some of the maps featured in these games were unnecessarily stretched out and sometimes instead of there being actual puzzles, you spend just as much time backtracking and trying to discern whether you've been in that place before L:

  • @Bleumange

I'll can accept that criticism. I don't like the over linearity of a lot of games today but getting lost isn't the complement. My favorite games are the ones that have multiple paths to the same objective.

  • @Bleumange I find most maps in games today are wayyyy too small.

Even if you compare the original Deus Ex with Deus Ex 2.

Another big issue, is that the atmosphere is largerly lost. It's like, computer gaming has gone... Hollywood.

  • NOLF2 was a disappointment for me. it lacked what made the 1st episode so great... it missed something... maybe the old atmosphere, where everything was 'living' and part of the the big picture. nolf1 is my all-time favourite!

  • @winghun I agree. NOLF2 is nowhere as great as the first game. Where NOLF1 shined, NOLF2 lacked. In the Morocco mission even to this day I feel like I'm doing a mission in a public place where there are lots of people around. The atmosphere was very well done. NOLF1 was also more funny where humor in NOLF2 felt forced. There are more to the list of things that make the prequel superior to me.

  • Good encouraging music while working while building a level for the game using its Toolset :D

  • @StuartTheGamerNerd Lol good luck with the modding

  • so amazing game :) I love it.. ♥

  • that game, was my first online game, I plauyed it after AOC (age of empires 2), first day I played I met my wife to be< I met her in 2002 online in NOLF, November 1st 2010 we are getting married, thank you Kate Archer we love you

  • @UbarDarkStorm That's incredibly heart-warming.

    Also, *Cate. :P

  • This sooo brings back memories. <3

  • wow tnx for uploading man. This was the first MP FPS that I played as a kid. sucha good memories with this game :)

  • @pedi007 No probs, glad you like it.

  • ..so learn to laugh at dangeeeer :-)

  • Thanks for the upload!

  • We want NOLF3! :(

  • I like F.E.A.R. But I think NOLF could have been better. Unfortunately, apparently Sierra owns the rights to that series and since Monolith split with them they can't make any more sequels...

    Sucks. I like Cate. :(

  • Thanks a lot for a link to the soundtrack!!! That's what I was looking for. There are some really good songs on it. I have two copies of the game, but for some reason my new DVD player won't play the ST. My old one that broke did.

    Cheers

  • DOWNLOAD LINK ADDED. The quality is not the best but that's the only file about this soundtrack I know. Enjoy.

  • Too bad something went wrong in the publishing, this could have been a bestseller high-rated game...

  • @mees462 Well this was GOTY so there certainly was some recognition. And it got high ratings as far as I've checked. I found this game from local store like 2 years ago and also when it was released. I might be wrong but many people just aren't into these kinda shooters. The game's awesome though.

  • I have this

    Love the theme

  • the best game i played

  • she beats master chiefs ass anytime

  • I think we should spam Monolith's mail with things like "ENOUGH OF ALMA BASTARDS !!!! WE WANT OUR SWEETEST CATE BACK !!!!!!!" maybe they'll see we still love the game and this time we buy more copies than NOLF 2... ahhhh I never thought I say that... but release it also on Xbox and PS 3 i don' care

  • 7:08 the best part=)

  • @prince2uko

    agree :)

  • ive signed the petition for NOLF3 to be made, the best 2 games ive ever played on PC, a really great blend of spy, action, and all round comedy within a game.

it reminds me of Tintin with the great charicatures of the scotsman, the morrocans.

And i almost forgot a fecking great soundtrack, on the original NOLF1 you get a little soundtrack cd.

  • Cate Archer - coolest FPS hero(ine) right after Gordon Freeman.

  • @SpaceCadet1

Agreed. She just screams "I want action." :)

  • @SinfulOcelot

    I'll give her action.

  • @Gumbo550 U wanna kill some gud pussy.

  • @SpaceCadet1 Before Gordon Freeman.Following her is Duke Nukem.

  • Best game ever made, period.

Dammit, you get to be a spy and it's a shooter, I don't think it could get better than that. Lipstick grenades FTW!

  • still playing this game. awesome.

  • Counting the years gone by without a NOLF 3. =(

  • @rkmugen Monolith sucks cocks now. I don't think there will ever be NOLF3. :(

  • @Rovlad1984 uh FEAR is pretty good :P but yeah i wish they would make a 3rd one

  • Miss this game so much. I'm only 14 yet i've played this game for as long as I can remember... God the memories just from this song... Crazy :p

  • reminds me of the band from The Shadow

  • I love this song, too bad I can't understand the lyrics! xD -----

    'Cause no one lives forever,

    And evil never dies.

    Smarital(?) never danger,

    And no one {hauls/balls/bowls} forever,

'Cause no one lives forever! -----

Anyone want to help me on this please?

  • @burnsy96 English's not my language either but i hear:

    'Cause no one lives forever,

    And evil never dies.

So know to love a danger,

    And no one's forever,

    'Cause no one lives forever!

  • @8kman0 Nice, I like ur hearing, that makes much more sense :)

  • @burnsy96 it is....

    cause no one lives forever,

    but evil never dies,

    so (something something) danger

    and never surrender

    cause no one lives forever

  • I think the line is 'So learn to laugh at danger.' Great game and a brilliant song.

  • @thingtastic1 Yes it is, on both accounts. :)

  • Austin power + Half-life + James Bond = No Lives Forever !

  • After all these years, I still find myself randomly humming to this NOLF1 tune. It would suit an Austin Powers movie too :)

  • @vknong No One Lives Forever, BABY!

  • Cate Archer...yeah!!!!!!!!!:)

  • Because no one lives forever!

  • I loved this game and for some reason I always got a laugh out of shooting the drunk guy that was in almost every level. I also liked shooting the fat doctor and the conductor on the train and also the monkey but mostly the drunk guy.

  • Rad song.

  • wtf are you talking about? the graphics were impressive when it came out.

  • this is the best game ever... the second best must be the sequel.

  • Is it just me or does everyone need great graphics to love a game.

Far out this has to be in my opinion the best game script ever written along with the concept.

The graphics shouldn't matter unless its like red squares and green squares beeping and moving.

  • Good graphics improves a great game, but it can't make a bad game good. For example, I prefer Rome Total War before Medieval II Total War, because the game play is more interesting (both in the strategic map and the battles). No One Lives Forever is a gem and probably the most underrated game ever. That said, it would have been better with better graphics. The game engine was inferior to other FPS engines of the time (e.g. Unreal).

  • The graphics are not the worst with this game, but the AI. If an enemy discovers you, everyone knows your exact location even when you kill him on the spot. That's not very realistic. Also, sometimes a foe is just standing there when you shoot the guy in front of him with the crossbow, especially from long range.

  • I'm currently playing through the first game and then I will install the follow-up which I recently bought at a cheap price. This is undoubtly one of the best games of all time. The graphics are a bit outdated, but the dry brittish humour makes up for it.

  • I'm also just playing the game now. The graphics are completely outdated, but i am just so thankful for the lack of a stupid carbon-copied cover system.

If you want the best dialogs, make sure that when you're interrogating the guy early on in the game, don't choose to torture him. Just keep doing the "i'm going to ask you one more time" option.

And later when you interview the Baron for an alleged magazine article, make sure to always choose the questions that have to do with hunting.

  • OMG thanks for posting this! Haha...it's amazing how the soundtrack takes you back...this game was def. one of my favorites ever! Great script (hilarious dialogue), groovy tunes, and amazing visuals...oh - and of course great game play with a fab. main character - what more could a girl ask for? :-)

  • I know aye. This is the true example of a perfect game.

  • old games are the best

  • you're right all old games are the best

  • I loved this game and the sequal!! I played this game for hours after work. They should be making a new version of this!

  • @mjk2831 yeh ur right, did u ever play - contract JACK its the prequel to nolf 2

  • Seconding that.

  • I played this when I was 7 so I LOVE this theme song. It always brings back memories of one christmas I was playing it and I was drinking hot chocolate haha.. those were the days..

  • Hell yeah... Was playing it at like... 10 but it is sooooo good memories!

  • this is my first ps2 game

  • mine too

  • it would be fucking AWESOME if they made a new NOLF game. I LOOVVEE this game. it was all groovey and fun to play. and funny too. greate fun. i think i gonna play it over again

  • This game was and is sooo awesome it's undescribable. This game has what all new games are missing, the FEELING, atmosphere, the groove! This game didn't need multiplayer or super violent gore to be great, I walked around in the game just fooling around sometimes. It really sucked you in, i think i have never experienced that at the same level with any game but this. Nowadays game developers only focus on violence and gore so the focus on feeling just vanish.

  • Stole the words from my mouth, Has been my favorite game for 10 years now!!! Its just amazing!

  • @farmermaggot91 WHY DON'T YOU PEOPLE MOVE ON TO THE SECOND ONE ALREADY!!! AND MOD THE GAME TO HAVE ALL THE LEVELS AND COOL THINGS OF THE FIRST ONE ITS GOT COOP FOR GOODNESS SAKE...ITS WHAT THE BORRING MULTIPLAYER NOLF1 IS LACKING!

  • Well, I spent a lot of time enjoying the No One Lives Forever 1 multiplayer. It wasn't boring, it was awesome. I remember when the servers would be packed because so many people played back then. lol

I've played both games but without a doubt the first is the best.

  • @iWebkinz09 shut up nolf 1 was epic..

  • Wtf?

  • @farmermaggot91 and when I say that I mean the only thing it's lacking of corse :D

  • @farmermaggot91

ME TOO, this game is just awesome! the story was rich, the characters were funny, the missions were ACTUALLY fun!, and the music was also nice :)

  • this is #1 of my top favorite games

I still have it and i'm going to go play a new game on it!!!

  • Hehe I'm playing it now.

  • @bluesky743 What a shame. You never played Deus Ex.

  • @bluesky743 I TOTALLY AGREE.

    BEST game ever.

  • @bluesky743 You're so right...now I'm too old to play computer games but I will never forget that funny hours I've had with cate in the sixties...

  • @Zauberfoerster

    fail :x

it's never to late to play good games ^^ maybe we don't have many good games nowadays, but it's better, i can't imagine I would play every title that is released
