@iloveredsox7020 Actually, the accents should be over done. The song is a dance. I've sang it a couple times- without that lovely bounce it isn't light and free. It also makes it TONS more fun to sing when you are bouncy bouncy with le piano.

@iloveredsox7020 I have sang it before too, and i do agree with you, But i still think it's a bit much. It does need strong accents, but it shouldn't be so steccato. The notes need to be long and connected with a cresscando and decressando action going on, which they are doing. But its just a bit to much accent for me. =)

I think he is just putting everything he has into the song. His lips are more prominent/larger than some, and I think that makes him look like he is making a face. To me he looks like he has given every ounce of energy he has into this singing. Of course, that seems to be true of all the singers, the pianist, and of course Prof. Schmidt-Gaden. And look at the concentration in the face of Helga Schmidt-Gaden.

Nun, ich selber habe dieses Lied im Chor gesungen (lange nicht so profiosonell) aber das mit den Konsonanten, also das T betonen usw ist extra bei diesem lied, steht auch hinter den noten ganz deutchlich. also, das ist mit absicht und ich muss sagen dieser chros hat eine verdammt verdammt verdammt gute leistung gebracht, machen sie es besser ;)

Der Chor singt zu pulsierend, z.T. sehr nachdrückend gesungen, die gemeinsame Konsonantenabsprache ist sehr schlecht. Der Pianist ist leider auch nicht gerade gut. Positiv fallen die Solisten auf.

Insgesamt schade bei so einem Chor, der sicherlich ein sehr gutes Potential hat, da ist mehr rauszuholen.

ich finde es gerade bei diesem stueck notwendig, dass nachdrucklich und leidenschaftlich gesungen wird, denn es is doch voller leidenschaft...

ja...es koennte in der tat etwas deutlicher gesungen werden, aber der pianist ist doch total ok.

und die solisten sind meiner meinung zu still...da fehlt temprament und den tenor kann man kaum verstehen...

aber insgesammt fin ich es sehr gut...

This completely amazed me...i wasnt expecting that out of a boys choir (even though the older tenors in teh back row are what made me really love this piece) were doing this piece in my concert choir and we arent doing half the dynamic crescendo/decrecendo's as this choir, but i liked it, it made it sound much more together
