@elewab I make my helmet with a regular printer 29.99 on target an I used legal size paper  I have all the armor in pep files unfolded in small parts to make the armor in legal size paper they are made in a size for a person 5,9 5,10 tall the only thing that you have to make just add 1 cms to recalculate the measure of parts and thats it!! and my helmet is better than this helmet on the video

Looks very cool but isn't that very unsafe for breathing??? I mean I've used bondo products before and that stench never seems to completely go away unless its on a car or some surface you cover. I'd be weary to wear that on my head same with certain spray paints which can be toxic.

@HarlanLovestone You're very right. It is really unsafe right after building but I've taken measures to make sure my friend didn't die or suffer brain damage heheh. I had to completely dry out all exposed resin and body filler and use a paint on the inside that sealed it up.

Last year I made a Shredder Costume. I made the Helmet and body armour out of Paper Mache. I want to do it again this year but I want to use a different material. I want some that's easier to shape and mold. I see you use Resin, Fiberglass and Cardstock paper. I may have to try that out.

gret job, im building a Tumbler myself doing the same steps as you've taken. I'm curious, when you applied the resin to the card stock, did it want to warp any? I dont know if your familiar with the Tumbler, but straight smooth faces, and sharp edges are a must for me. Thanks for any info!

If you haven't already found out, as long as you're using thick cardstock it shouldn't warp. The technique is to put a very very thin layer of resin to harden the paper, then after that you can apply the resin as thick as you want without worrying about it.

look up a file for the helmet, they have them on 405th if you dont already have one. Then measure the width of your head and put that number in the scale option box and print it.

Nice...i almost went ahead to do what you did. I built iron man in 3d, pep'd it and made it into a small maquette, but decided it would be too much work to make a full sized costume. Howver, i've turned the whole thing into a 3D hi-res movie quality (almost!) model....

Same way, model it in a 3d program, run it through a program to turn it into a template, cut fold and glue it, then resin/fiberglass/bondo it :)

the feet will be able to hold at least 300 lbs so I'll have no problem with that lol

no he made it out of 3DS MAX, put it into a program called pepakura designer, which unwraps the model and allows you to print it out and assemble it in real life.

Nice, I made a Carnage outfit last month. Head, claws, full body suit, loose painted material for his equivalent to webbing.
