Did u ever get past it? if not, then all you have to do is pay attention to the statue's shadow. Like if the statue's shadow is pointing east, then go west. If it points west,go east. if it points south, go north. You'll whind up at the same area again but keep doing it and you'll whind up in the right place.

this new game seems to have lots of normal monsters if compared to the other ones >.>
I think that dmc3 had something like 24 diferent normal monsters... this one seems to have lots
