  • Is there a way to play this without capo?

  • Yes but it is much more difficult, I would suggest with a capo

  • @BasMan26 Break out the pen and rubberband :)

  • @BasMan26 I used a pen and hair tie (or rubber band) before I broke down and got a capo

  • thanks, now go make love

  • Thanks and OK if you insist :)

  • Great lesson I think it is fantastic that you are willing to share your time helping out us would be guitar players. Thankyou.

  • Thanks, much appreciated!!!!

  • you know the way its DDDDDDDU, well inbetween each down strum theres a lick of somesort, what is it? is it a rest, brush stroke, tap??

  • Sorry not sure what you mean here. As far as I can tell that is the only part that is happening with the guitar. Maybe you are hearing the slightly different strum, a full strum on the on beat (1, 2, 3, 4) and a short strum on the off beat?????

  • nvm lol i got it.

    thanks a lot :D

    my first guitar song :D

  • Congrats

  • whats the strumming pattern?

  • Watch the video and read the info tab

  • I don't get the Bm7 chord, can anybody help me and tell me how to put my fingers?

  • Look at the chord diagrams at the start of the video

  • @wachimbanga hey, all you need to do is start with your first finger on the 5th string, miss out a string each time, then 2nd finger on 3rd string, and ring finger on 1st :D

  • thanks alot, great lesson.!

  • No problem, thanks for the comment!!!

  • it´s been a great lesson, just what I needed.

Could you play the links between the Chorus? the rythm is complicated, its the part between

oh take me back to the start

and i was just guessing in numbers and figures,

Thank you! 5 stars to youi

  • All the info is in the video lesson for what i play

  • @educationalmaterials thanks for answering that fast!

I still can not see when do you teach it.

  • That part is the end of the chorus, so the A and then a single strum of A7 and then back into the D; G; D; Dsus2 etc. see 5:22 in the lesson.

  • thanks, I appreciate

  • Great vid! This will definitely help me out. I chose to play this song for my guitar class, but I couldn't figure out how the strumming went. Thanks a lot!

  • No problem, glad you found it useful, thanks for the comment!!!!

  • hey, noob here. what does the x o x o stands for? =)

  • o = open

    x = muted

  • Yep what the guy said below, x means don't play the string (or mute it) and o means open string (no fingers on frets)

  • best lesson IN THE WORLD!!!! thanks so much!!! thanks to you i learned this in 10 minutes!!!i've never learned that fast before, but you made it easy!!!!thanks! ^_^

  • Ok, thank you very much :)

Very nice video, by the way :D

  • No problem and thanks!!

  • Well.. I try to play guitar in my free time, but I've never had any lessons, so I try to figure everything out on my own.

I don't use a capo. What do I have to do?

  • Buy a capo, choose a song without a capo in it or play the song without the capo but in a different key.

  • this is the best lesson ever!!

    tnx sooooooooo much :D

  • Thanks, much appreciated!!!!

  • Is this the original key?..

Because i play the keyboard and i playh my right hand (bass) as:

    D x8, A# x8, F x16

    And the chorus:

    A# 16, F x 16, C

  • Yes it is but I am playing it on a guitar with a capo on the 3rd fret which means that I am playing the same chords as you. THe chords written are in relation to the capo NOT the actual chords. So a B shape with a capo on the 3rd IS a D chord.

  • So you are playing the Chords u said in the vid.. But with that "capo" they sound like D, A, F, etc etc on the piano?...
