lol cool! i play it different. I have capo on 2cnd fret and i strum d7sus4 in place of a D. Lol i might make some vids on how to play guitar! My name is theredy63937
I recently saw Coldplay live in South Africa - the scientist was freaking amazing, u must hear 90 000 people singing the chorus! Gotta learn this on guitar now :) Thanks for the tutorial!
Hi love the way you teach these songs... your talented ...yet humble.
Can you tell me the brand of capo that you use please.... mine is a cheapo and sounds horrid it makes the strings sound sharp even when I really try hard to get exact tunning.
I don't usually comment on videos at all, but I had to log on to youtube to tell you that this was one of the best lessons i've heard! Keep the good work up man!
by far the best guitar teacher i could find on youtube! u play great songes also =D if u can can u put up motorcycle drive by, by third eyed blind? + til' kindom come by coldplay that would be frearkin' terrific.. thanks bosss
Sorry not sure what you mean here. As far as I can tell that is the only part that is happening with the guitar. Maybe you are hearing the slightly different strum, a full strum on the on beat (1, 2, 3, 4) and a short strum on the off beat?????
what key is this in? is it the same as the original song? if so which key? and if not, which key is this version in, AND the original song? PLEASE HELP
@wachimbanga hey, all you need to do is start with your first finger on the 5th string, miss out a string each time, then 2nd finger on 3rd string, and ring finger on 1st :D
Great vid! This will definitely help me out. I chose to play this song for my guitar class, but I couldn't figure out how the strumming went. Thanks a lot!
best lesson IN THE WORLD!!!! thanks so much!!! thanks to you i learned this in 10 minutes!!!i've never learned that fast before, but you made it easy!!!!thanks! ^_^
Yes it is but I am playing it on a guitar with a capo on the 3rd fret which means that I am playing the same chords as you. THe chords written are in relation to the capo NOT the actual chords. So a B shape with a capo on the 3rd IS a D chord.

Personally I find the best way to end is with a bar of Bm7 followed by a bar of A7
Both using the strumming pattern he uses.

@educationalmaterials thanks for answering that fast!
I still can not see when do you teach it.
crinoss2 1 year ago
That part is the end of the chorus, so the A and then a single strum of A7 and then back into the D; G; D; Dsus2 etc. see 5:22 in the lesson.

Because i play the keyboard and i playh my right hand (bass) as:
D x8, A# x8, F x16
And the chorus:
A# 16, F x 16, C
UsKciTo 2 years ago
Yes it is but I am playing it on a guitar with a capo on the 3rd fret which means that I am playing the same chords as you. THe chords written are in relation to the capo NOT the actual chords. So a B shape with a capo on the 3rd IS a D chord.
educationalmaterials 2 years ago
So you are playing the Chords u said in the vid.. But with that "capo" they sound like D, A, F, etc etc on the piano?...
UsKciTo 2 years ago
