@callypee he drove behind me in when the RAC rally was on in the Forest of Dean a while back. He was driving to a stage. My dad was driving and i looked out the back and when i saw it was him i was sooo amazed! I waved to him and he waved back!!! Never forget that moment!

you got valentino rossi from moto gp dedicating races to him, pastrana's tribute at the following x-games, and his chute-less jump was also dedicated to colin as well i believe. the amount of people who lost a friend regardless of whether or not they knew him personally, just shows the class of individual he was.

died only a month after this. i remember watching him roll the car the year before, lost the gold, and still got out of the car smiling and waving at the fans, he was excited just to be there, humble individual and a class act. Nothing against nascar but i see guys like kyle busch blow off the media and stomp off all pissed off if he finishes any worse than first, it's great to see guys like colin and we lost him way too soon. everybody looked up to and respected this man. we'll miss you colin!

It has been said that when Travis Pastrana found out that he withdrew from the Rally America final event. Although he did so he won the title and promptly donated his prize fund from doing so to cover funeral expenses for the McRae family.
