Im going in for a MRI scan this month just to rule out the chance i have an acoustic neuroma in my ear as i have a minor bit of tinitus in my left ear on a scale of 1 to 10 its a 1/10 loud and annoying! Doc says its not likely i have one but its just a precautionary measure BUT i live in the UK where all medical treatment and things like this are free, so im lucky i suppose i dont have to pay for the scan or surgery if needed!
I wouldn't shoot my self in the head. Did you try vinegar to reduce the tumour. Don't trust a doctor they in my opinion have a greater relationship to money than your health.
What in the world are you talking about??? Vinegar?!? You obviously had a bad experience with a medical professional. Sorry would put my trust in some one well trained and knowledgeable vs. Vinegar!
Hi! At age 21 I had a 4 to 6 cm acoustic neuroma removed. My surgery took only seven hours and I only loss my hearing in my left ear. In 2005 after a routine MRI there was evidence of it's return. Had gamma knife surgery and now 2009 I am tumor free. My doctor was Anil Nanda out of Shereveport La. He is AWESOME!
No way!! That was the doctor that diagnosed me...but I've been putting it off. Mine was 2.5 a little less than that I think when he diagnosed me...he wanted to wait but his group reccomened just doing it with gamma knife..I'm not sure if I can though...we'll see when I get an MRI.
I'd really trust him! He will put your health as first priority! Gamma Knife was NOTHING!!! No pain... the only thing that hurt was the IV. (I hate needles). Good luck and tell him (Dr. Nanda) Mary says Hello. He uses my picture as he travels and does lectures. I love him! He's the best!
OH thank you so much...well I'm waiting to finish my degree so I can get insurance when I go to work. Yes, he did strike me as a doctor who puts your health first and I will definitely mention you when I see him next. Take care.
@mmfhuval No I didn't I'm a slacker and without insurance...I've been too busy trying to save my daughter from a unsafe situation and to make things worse she made me a grandmother way before my time...yay..but we just love her...so I'm trying to save them right now...I just got a big lecture from my dad for neglecting my health and other issues..lol however not much change in my symptoms to be honest..I do have some tinnitus and hearing loss but its not worse than it was 5 years ago. thats good
how are you doing? do you still have ringing in your ears or dizziness? your videos help. i'm doing a report in my class for this condition. thank you :)
