  • Patrick needs to get involved with Bioware!

  • "And there's a lot of trouble you can get into out there. And he gets into all of it."

  • He should team up with Bethesda.

  • @Aetos1337 agreed

  • @Aetos1337 actually I found that Skyrim has quite a resemblance to the Name of the Wind.

  • @Aetos1337 i was just thinking that!

  • I think of the two books, my favourite time was that spent by Kvothe as a beggar in Tarbean, having said that I loved every single moment of the story so far. I also get a small perverse kick for knowing each word has been pawed over in near endless reviews for 14 years. If there's a purpose to life more than just reproduction, you've filled it :).

  • Cant be Kvothe eh? fair nuff i pick bast :)

  • wait was ther sex in the first book, when ??? i have read both cant recall a sex scene in the 1st one plenty in the 2nd

  • @laminatingdog

no he actually said there wasn't a sex scene. So when he says there will be more sex in the next books there will a bit more because in the first there wasn't any. ;)

I laughed about Pats discription of the scene with the half naked Fela.^^

  • @ZwTu95 me to man!

I think the NOTW universe would create a great setting for an online video game, if it ever happened though i do think only Pat should be allowed to play as Kovothe : )

  • such a game would save my life =D

  • I like his pace in the story. Best part was Tarbaen, I love watching smug little shits getting run through the dirt.

  • 9:00 I began laughing uncontrollably.

  • i would love to play any game he writes for

  • that release date is an epic fail

  • I like how he said there are three things in a book without knowing what they were and then changed it to four after he figured it out.

  • @xXKrazyLepreconXx No. He probably knew the things, but hadn't elaborated on them internally. It wasn't that he didn't know. It was merely that he didn't know how to express them. Whether or not my interpretation is correct or not, is an entirely different matter. I am amused at how you jump to arbitrary conclusions, though.

  • If I have to sit through a Kvothe-descriptive scene of him doing Denna, I'm going to hang myself. D: Really. (I know it's going to happen.) Maybe Devi seduces him? :)

  • I feel the complete opposite. I really look forward to it. During the whole book I was waiting for it!

  • me too i was like!!! kiss her!!

  • @RennieDomoSensei i doubt he'd describe it to chronicler, he's shied away from telling other things i severely doubt he'd describe that being the gentleman he is, also i'm not so sure it even happened based off the way Kvothe talks about her. Also why would you hang yourself? You could just skip that part, also, why would you hang yourself? That would be great, poor guy deserves it after all he's been through.

  • Hey a fellow Dresden fan. Well done, Patrick Rothfuss. Love the name of wind, wise man's fear is gonna rock. keep it coming man.

  • @TacticusPrime

    harry dresden is awesome

  • Oh, Patrick, I love you so. The first book is absolutely incredible! I'm dying for the second one.

  • I love this guy. I really do.

  • I would love to see Name of the Wind as an MMO...

  • "An interview trilogy" part 3 - I LOVE IT. Says it all about many fantasy authors in the last 30 years. I'd guess if these guys worked then rather than working the week they'd be be doing parts 1,2,3,4 and 5. Or perhaps they'd call it the weekly saga. There are many great fantasy authors out there - but the whole genre after such a time seems little more than a gigantic gravy train. Anyone see this in fiction? Pick 10 random fantasy books. Anyone take 10:1 odds that one isn't in a series?

  • Too bad the release date shown at end is inaccurate!

  • 8:33 I love it.
