What is so important about this movie, is awareness. I made both of my girls watch this movie when it first aired on lifetime. My youngest was 11. The more we educate our daughters the more safe they become. I would have shown it to my son, if I had one...as young boys are trafficked as well. I also was strict about computers until they were older as I also showed them the movie, Trust, which is on NextFlix for instand viewing! Thanks to everyone who made this movie a reality!

I think my favorite character in this movie was Nadia's father. He literally went to the ends of the Earth to get his daughter back and risked everything to do it. He's the most courageous man in this movie.

I'm sick because I know there is human trafficking in my own home town. I had an apartment that overlooked a strip mall with a large chain grocery store , several boutiques and a message parlor. It was open 24 hours and had no windows. No women were ever seen coming and going for normal shifts like a normal legitimate massage parlor. They lived there. They were slaves and the law enforcement was aware and turned a blind eye. This wasn't the only one. There were 4-5 of these in my home town. :-(

I'm sick because I know there is human trafficking in my own home town. I had an apartment that overlooked a strip mall with a large chain grocery store , several boutiques and a message parlor. It was open 24 hours and had no windows. No women were ever seen coming and going for normal shifts like a normal legitimate massage parlor. They lived there. They were slaves and the law enforcement was aware and turned a blind eye. This wasn't the only one. There were 4-5 of these in my home town. :-(

And yet at the same I like how it showed that everyone who is involved with the human trafficking aren't all "Pure evil". An example being the lawyer, I think if he had the choice, he would never help out that guy. But it looked like to me, his life was on the line.

I didn't really think much of this stuff until recently. A bust happened at a wedding/lingerie store in my town where Women and Kids were trafficked since 2001. I live in a town of 65,000 people. If it happened in my home town it's happening everywhere.

Human trafficking is indeed occuring in the US everyday as a form of modern day slavery it mainly happens in our major cities but recently the highest has been in Houston, Tx. Every girl nomatter how young should be aware of this and the dangers.

I live in the UK and less than a year ago a small girl in Asda went missing. My friend works there and they kept looking for her but didn't find her so they locked up all the doors and searched better. They found her hair shaved off in the toilets. The person that was planning to take her left her there when the doors got shut.

what bothered me about america, since the last part of the movie she speaks in DEpt of homeland Secuirty was that the USA did not make human trafficking a felony until January 2001 only ten years ago, before that people like Sergei would have only been charged with a misdemeanor unless there was proof of rape etc

Seriously, this was one of the best movies I've ever seen. Most of the acting was simply stunning and captured a very current real world issue. This was probably the movie I cried the most at, of the few that I ever did. I would recommend this movie to anyone. My gosh, I think I need to watch it again.
