I believe it should be mandatory for all suv's to have the beeping gadget that beeps when something is behind you. I drive one and I know Iit is impossible to see a child behind me. I often think of this family while backing up and am more cautious because of them. May they find peace and comfort.

Maria was one of 3 Chinese girls that were adopted by Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife. Tragically 10 days after her 5th birthday she was accidentally killed in their own driveway. I will post an address with this video that tells the whole story. Thanks

Watching the interview with Steven & Mary Beth on Larry King was life-changing. Steven said, "I thought Maria was Stevie Joy because she was wearing a tu-tu and Stevie was our dancer, but then I came to my senses and realized it was Maria. She was covered in blood..." That really made me want to cry. I really can't get over this tragedy.

The interview was definitely heart wrenching...Maria was such a sweet child and you can tell every time Steven was with her he was filled with so much love for her...We pray the family is doing well...The Chapman family has been such a blessing for so many lives...

Thanks for the comment...she is definitely going to be missed by a lot of people. It seems every time we saw SCC on video Maria was right by his side. I can't imagine how much his heart is breaking right now.
