  • it was good but you need to be more aggressive with your tactics. never leave your gun just anywhere he could of had someone with him hiding and gotten the gun and you'd all be dead. other than that good work. from WCPD Post 499

  • My bad. I thought this was a response to a real, live, situation. Because I will say that that man, was treated very poorly. Particularly if in the scenario that the man you apprehending was a patient.

  • "Get up....or I will make you" and you spray him in the face? Whatever happened to procedure and protocol? If the subject is non-compliant and/or clearly has a mental defect, verbally diffusing the situation is the only SMART way to go. Besides it's not like this man can actually be charged with anything due to diminished capacity. Tsk tsk tsk it's very sloppy work . Weren't you taught how to diffuse a situation properly?

  • Aww, you shoulds shown the EMS explorers in action, I wanted to see how they work/what they do (I'm interetsed in joining)

  • ok im not even in the police explorers but i would know not to lay my ar-15 down thats like saying u wanna die today i mean come on!!

  • is that real pepper sprey

  • taser?

  • This would look horrible for your department on tv if you did that to a perp.

Your department needs to teach you some defensive tactics.

Im a PPCT instructor and a GAGE instructor.

You wasted your energy, I seen some head strikes, and most importantly in a struggle like that you can get hurt.

  • bigbluemsp: Thank god that as an officer, you think this looks bad. Unfortunatey, I suspect that such tactics will become "appropriate". I fear that our nation is going down the tubes, and that all of us who have worn the uniform will have to analyzee what the "foreign or domestic" part of the Oath really means.

  • I happen to strongly agree with you, and also we have been taught PPCT, yet we where urged to not use it in these scenarios because it was with volunteers, we did use PPCT in a few other scenarios during this day but i do appreciate your input

  • @Bigholler Good! Just remember for the road that all eyes/cell phone cameras/video cameras are on you.

  • lol you guys got to take him down faster ^_^ i'm from post 319 of dbpd

  • This guy was a pain in the ass to handle lol but was a fun day all in all

  • awsome vid i'am from post 29

  • honestly it'd been better if you didn't even have the friggin' thing. u were screwed etither way if he got to it. and it gets in the way and makes you pay attention to it instead of him...but good job...look into Koubaton training...trust me, with people like him it makes it so much easier...and its funny to watch. good acting tho

  • hey! im from modesto and id like to knw how you would get in this explorer prog. ?

  • Modesto has a explorer program, call the Modesto Police Department and ask them about it. This post is in Michigan

  • Hmm... Talking to your bad guy is good... Letting him grab the gun... not so good... Yall did a good job tryin to get him contained, but theres three of you an one of him... Just sit on a limb!

Otherwise, good job, hands on is a lot of fun huh?

  • manhandle him!

  • next time i would never set that AR-15 down that is a dumb move. cause what if he were to get that weapon. there would be a big problem

  • *coughs* m-16

  • are you not supposed to de-escalate them verbally? I'm slightly confused.

  • Usually but he has a knife so deadly force comes into play to no we don't have to verbally de-escalate

  • Hey, that's my baby breaking a sweat!! LOL Gigantor :) had a blast and looking forward to the rematch......
