Intel Core i7-Extreme Edition 3.8 GHz

NVidia GeForce 580M at 1228 MHz

Hard Disk 530 GB

And he put very lag on FSX

@thetimE59 Try two things; FSX tweaker (forgot website, but its all over forums so you'll find its link)

Also try an external Frame limiter- the FSX default one is laggy.

Also if you have full settings, on the weather page, put the cloud visibility right down to 60 because IRL you can only see clouds that far. This clouds tab frees up LOADS of FSP.

@XxStalkerxSasquachXx sorry pal, but it won't. Fsx doesn't even fully utilize 4 cores, Much less 6. That 1055t or 1090t you're getting will give you maybe 3.8ghz at best. You can get pretty good results though.

@uberwagn I could actually reach ur Speed with a cooling system that I will buy, but even though FSX doesn't utilize all those cores, my Mobo has a special setting where I can fully utilize all my cores.

@XxStalkerxSasquachXx I have someone I have been helping thru tweaking fsx, he too has a phenom 1055t, and while it does great, does not compare to the i7.

@uberwagn True, Intel still has a greater cache size, but the AMD is much cheaper and performance is almost the same.

FSX is a CPU based game it does utilize all cores provided you install atleast SP1

and i7 920 is still faster than a Phoenom II X6

@kyleguy298 yes but depends on what type of monitor you use as-well. If your in 16:9 1080p then you need a card that is at least 1.5Tflops... Cause I have a phenom II X6 with a GT320 over-clocked to 600MHz core speed & 876MHz memory speed. And I get 20-30fps with auto-gen maxed out in urban area... My monitor display speed is 60Hz(60FPS). Gonna upgrade to a HD 4890 that has sufficient Flops and I'll be able to record with fraps !!!

Can someone help? In fsx no matter what the weather even in clear conditions, I always get this thick white layer of cloud the follows me under the aircraft. It's quite annoying that I can't see the ground but I can't get rid of it even in perfectly clear weather.

Can't say - most ddr3 1600mhz will perform the same to your eyes - although some overclock better than others. I'm perfectly happy with my Crucial Ballistix tracer's that i have now.
