It contains some of the loveliest lyrics I've ever heard: "Reach for the stars, cos they're sweeter by far than the moon, though she's brighter, and closer to you..."
One of my favourite groups, sadly missed. Was lucky to see them as support to Michael Jackson at his Leeds gig.... made my day, cos I was more into them than Jackson (sorry Jackson fans) :o)
JUST BOUGHT THE NEW EVANESCENCE ALBUM SOME BITS REMINDED ME OF ALL ABOUT EVE AND HAVE STARTED LISTENING TO AGAIN AFTER ALL THESE YEARS......STANDS THE TEST OF TIME...A CLASSIC
After seeing this performance on Top Of The Pops I became a fan and have watched them in concert in Sheffield (home town) many times their accoustic sets were special in the early years of this century. Their songs are so meaningful and have substance with great musical arrangements. Miss them wish they would re-unite. Julianne and Andy were really special people.
everytime i get stressed i put on the headphones, turn off the lights and play this album.
Even after 20 odd years i still jump every time wild hearted woman starts after she moves through the fair has put me in a trance lol.
totaly amazing live, brilliant songwriters and a stunningly beautiful singer with the most perfect voice..why are they not the biggest band in the world?!?
Julianne Regan is incredible ; she alone creates her own cultural ambience within the raw 'tack' of the 1980/90s TOTP studio ! NOT MANY PEOPLE CAN DO THAT !
@gibbonduder182 That was 'Martha's Harbour' when the tv soundtrack went out without the studio cue for the band. Not sure if this was the following week's performance, but i'd have not thought so. You'd bet your bottom dollar they insisted n live performances only after that though - and this shows! Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.
I must say thank you for this ... I was fun of their music ... I heard today something that reminded me on All About Eve, came on youtube and ... thankyou thankyou thankyou ;-)
I once heard a song by AAE that was called "The Garden of Jane Delauney", or something like that. It was a bonus track on a 12" release. I would love to know if it is still available somehow somewhere. It was a really beautiful song.

This must have been when the Beeb invited them back to sing live after the "broken playback" fiasco the 1st time they played it.

I was absolutely in love her, this song is probably the main reason. What a voice...nothing else matters when I hear it. Nothing.
