@blueprophet9, A Sikh should ideally stick to a purely vegetarian diet, but if you continue to eat meat that is fine just as long as you make efforts to come off eating it. A baptized Sikh of the Khalsa (Brotherhood of the pure) is prohibited to eat meat. If you practice Sikhi the need to stop eating animal flesh should come from your being, not forced, as this just suppresses the desire and makes it stronger. Hope that answers your question.
These talks can be found on a podcast on iTunes. I think you can just search "SHARE" and it should come up. They are very informative and Bhai Joginder Singh is a good teacher.
I'm SOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY that I was born into the Sikh religion absolutley AMAZING! Ofcourse all the other religions I respect aswell!:) But obviously I love my religion the most!!!!:):):):)
Wow...Absolutely amazing...We are very blessed and exteremly lucky that our Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was written directly by our Gurus. Especially us GurSikhs, we are directly looked upon by our True Master, SatgGuru. Our 10th master, said he loves his sikhs more then his life. Wow imagine living your life knowing that the greatest warrior loves you more then his own life.
Sikhism is a pure humanitary/warrior religion. It was created in a time when the world was going to end. Everyday hundreds of thousands of mothers were cut in to pieces limb by limb, men were kidnapped and have their own flesh cut off. It is a pure straight path to God. Sikhs do not need second opinions, there are no castes, men and women are equal. The greatest acts of bravery were constantly made by Sikh/Khalsa embrassing men, Sikhs pray for the worlds happiness.
Salam. I am a Strong Muslim, but I dont understand Sikhism. I will look into it, as I have some sikh friends, but could someone point at a few similarities between the two religions. Thanks
Sikhism is the easiest path to God..thats for sure man Guru Ji doesnt judge...Guru Ji will take all pain from your life. But if y ou disrespect islam...or hinduisum Guru Ji isnt going to be happy. Remember Guru Ji is the 1 who creates miracles.
Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji also gave if mortal life for Hinduism and other religions, showing us that other religions are important too and we should protect everyone frm tyranny
Why would Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji give his life for Hinduism and other religions? He is showing us that other religions are important too and we should protect everyone from tyranny
one question i have for Sikhs is why do Sikhs not spread the message of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and the other Sikh Gurus.Didn't Guru Nanak travel far and wide to spread the word? Just curious ..maybe someone could answer my question.
Is there a command of diet in Sikhism? I'm just now learning about Sikhism...so beautiful.
Peace from Korea!

I'm not sure but I heard that Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was written not only by our Gurus but by different bhagats as well.

conversion of those who don't believe in sikhism is frowned upon, as sikhs view all religions as equals as long as they follow the teachings of God
mrbigglezworth 4 years ago
Sikhi is the only TRUE path to God - God is present in all, but if say brahma does not realize this - then he is not God, just a God.
I hope you understand what i mean, how can we follow someone that does not know God, like mohammed, etc?
All sing gods praises.

Very true...Sikhs are fortunate that their scripture is the ONLY book written by the founders(Sikh Gurus).
The Hurricane Katrina Guru Granth Sahib miracle, shows it is protected by the creator. The Book was untouched by the feirce water.

Guru Granth Sahib is NOT a book which can simply be placed on a shelf;
Guru Granth Sahib is the Sikh holy SCRIPTURE containing an immense treasure of the word of God.

Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is not only the Sikh holy scripture, it is our SatGuru
