Liquid in first ahhh and the bead was not brown when taken out ahhhh do it like her on a timer over night and you have no bread in the morning AND 4HRS you need a new machine 3hr max in mine
This bread turned out ugly. There is a proper way of adding the ingredients in a bread machine. The wet items are to go first then the dry and yeast last. That way the dough will knead properly.
I'm a little new at making bread but its fun and easy. From what I read and understood it doesn't matter too much if the yeast get in contact with the water for as long as you start the process right away in the breadmaker. But if you use a setting such as whole wheat course that needs about 30 min of heating before it starts to knead the dough then it would be better to add dry ingredients last with yeast on top.. I guess always a good practice to add liquids first (including salt and sugar)
I have the type of bread machine where you put everything in but the yeast, then you close the top and put the yeast in a hole on the top...it drops later...I also have to put the dry ingredients in first,,,then the liquids last....it works great. I love making bread....thanks for the video.
i would also recommend adding the water first, slightly warm too, then dissolve salt and sugar in it first so that it will all be consistent, then add rest of dry ingredients after. good luck, nice video.
Looks so easy! Too bad no one I know has a bread machine... I guess you have to be a good cook because you're vegan. I never realized it's so hard to find vegan foods.

for the record, the only thing on top of the flour should be the yeast. salt can also kill yeast, and sugar may prematurely activate it.

The yeast is living and if the water is too hot the yeast will be killed. I would say 'lukewarm' water.
