the sub is way better than dub because they switch off from english to japanese so itd make more sense to have it in the original format. honestly though it doesnt matter as long as you enjoyed the anime alot

People keep comparing the dub and the subbed versions of this anime. They're both good but there's only one thing that I disagree with. Since I've read the manga, it specifically states that Koyuki can't speak any English and how music can break the boundaries of language and all that. He sings with perfect English in the dub which is great but it's not the same kids making it big in America. Even if the anime never made it to America. The Japanese version has good English VA's to add depth.

The dub is way better than the sub, as far as I'm concerned. I mean Koyuki sounds like a dumbass with a lisp when he sings in the Japanese version, mainly because it's a Japanese person trying to sing in English. And this show has the best dubs I've ever seen in an anime.

You just lack the appropriation of the hard work that goes in to dubs. I love watching anime SUB as well. but there's no shame in the dubs. Plus If he would sing jap then I wouldn't mind.
