Under the "official" rules, it is the same as soccer, if the ball goes in, it is a point regardless of who scores it. Typically, the rule of thumb I always used was if if you are at a bar (i.e., you are paying for the game), everything counds. If you are someone's house, we've played where only clean shots count.
Quick question: Does a goal count if you accidentally make contact with the opponent's player before it enters the goal (ball deflects off a guard)? Some call it a $hit-Shot...others count it as a goal...I cant find a ruling !
@gutturtle - I am sure it counts as a goal, I couldn't see why not, they should've been in front of the ball. I also don't think there is a way for a person to verify if it had hit or not seeing as some shots just go too fast.
Good vid king, perhaps you could release a 3rd one showing it at fullspeed and also how having the ball as far back as possable without pinning is important to get the brush/spin on the ball.
