It is sad to have to see the barriers, walls, blockades, and checkpoints. On the other hand, you have to ask yourself why are these things needed? If there were no weapons smuggling, terrorist attacks, rocket launchings, etc. these restrictions would not be necessary. But Israel has a right and an obligation to its citizens to protect them from harm. Removing Jewish settlements from Gaza was a gesture of peace & a start to more Israeli concessions but not when you can't live in peace & make war.

Palestinians lost their rights when they began their attacks. We'd be watching videos of Arabs slaughtering Jews if Israel hadn't won its wars against them. And what started it all? Palestinians killed many Jews in 1920 in Jerusalem, then Jaffa, Saffa, & Hebron (67 Jews were killed in Hebron in one day in 1929). Then you wonder why the Jewish underground was established! All I did was come back to settle peacefully in my ancestral homeland (and bought much of the land from Arabs & Turks) when your people started massacring us and we then needed to establish a Jewish underground and wage our own holy war or risk getting expelled or exterminated for the umpteenth time in history.

It is sad to have to see the barriers, walls, blockades, and checkpoints. On the other hand, you have to ask yourself why are these things needed? If there were no weapons smuggling, terrorist attacks, rocket launchings, etc. these restrictions would not be necessary. But Israel has a right and an obligation to its citizens to protect them from harm. Removing Jewish settlements from Gaza was a gesture of peace & a start to more Israeli concessions but not when you can't live in peace & make war.

I could say that your view is limited & biased as well - and that you should seek the truth. I don't rely on the media but I study balanced historical facts. Your people are guilty of doing what you are fond of accusing the Jews of -- which is playing the victim. Islam - since it's inception has been anything but kind to the Jews & Islame was essentially financed from money Mohammed's army stole from the Jews they massacred.

There was ONE tribe of jews that betrayed a treaty and attacked the Muslims from behind on the battle field. they were a HUGE security liability since they tried to exterminate the Muslims. SO they were executed. other tribes lived in Madinah after that..peacefully. The Muslim army was run with Zakah.

After Muhammad began proclaiming that Allah appointed him to be his messenger he got some converts in Mecca but was seen as a radical & had to flee to Medina where he thought that the Jews would recognize his claims. When they rejected him he turned against them & found a way to confiscate their wealth -- which he used to equip an army of 10,000 men which he marched against Mecca & made the opposition capitulate. Within 2 yrs all of Arabia fell under Muhammads rule. So he might have written that Allah favours all of creation but he certainly killed a lot of people to win over "converts" - rather than by his words and deeds as in the cases of Moses and Jesus.

My posting did come from a reliable book about Mohammed and you can even research what he did in Medina on the internet. Moses did NOT lead an army - it was Joshua -- and Jesus never raised a sword against anyone. Islam is certainly a violent religion and even Muslims agree to that. You may not be an Arab or Palestinian but I can see from your profile that are a Muslim.

Yes - & the "whole picture" is that the Arabs stole Israel from the Jews many centuries ago and Palestinians were the first to attack and massacre settlers in Israel in the 1880's & 1920's. That was the reason for the formation of the Jewish underground forces. If your people had been more planful & strategic like the Jews -- or if they accepted the UN partition plan they would not be in the situation they are in today. And what about all the Jews that were expelled from Arab countries?

Palestinians lost their rights when they began their attacks. We'd be watching videos of Arabs slaughtering Jews if Israel hadn't won its wars against them. And what started it all? Palestinians killed many Jews in 1920 in Jerusalem, then Jaffa, Saffa, & Hebron (67 Jews were killed in Hebron in one day in 1929). Then you wonder why the Jewish underground was established! The Palestinians should have accepted the UN partition plan instead of trying to wipe out the Jews.

palestains back in the day were simple ppl, farmers, they weren't a warring ppl, much like my own, it was never a great achievement to win some running battles with some poor farm folk.

If Palestinians weren't a warring people they would not have started the massacres that I mentioned below. It is a shame that so many peace-loving and wonderful Palestinian people were killed & displaced but the way the conflicts were escalating it was bound to end up in a victory for one side or the other. I guess the Jews, after repeated losses, expulsions, oppression, etc. decided that had enough & became more planful & strategic in their defence & subsequent offense so as not to lose again,

What you need to admit is that your side lost! And they have continued to lose. Your so-called Palestinians were nothing but squatters from neighboring Arab countries. In the 1800's so-called Palestine was a barren, completely undeveloped, & quite uninhabited land. It represents only 1/10th of 1% of the land area owned by Arabs in Middle East & was always the historic homeland of the Jews. Jews were content to share it but your side actually started all the aggression & now paid for it.

Syria is but one of several Arab countries. It was primarily those other Arab countries that expelled the Jews and stole their homes & and their assets. And, in point of historical fact, Mohammed also slaughtered Jews and stole their assets to finance his army and campaign to win converts.

For years they used positions in the Golan Heights to pound Israel - until Israel had enough and took Golan Heights from them.
