  • omg no many johanssons associated with music... lol

  • That neck doesn't look scalloped. I don't think I've ever seen Yngwie play with a standard neck before.

  • This Soto guy blows compared to Bonnet. He sounds like Elmo with a throat infection on the high notes.

  • @CuriosityRoads holy shit are you retarded, go listen to alcatrazz live doing this song then come back and apologise to this god of a man

  • @CuriosityRoads hope you realize now.even Bonnet's is pretty nice...but ok...my opinion jeff blows him.But lets get technicalsince you ae a singer, you cant say samething bad about this Soto performance.there's noteven a tiny mistake, lack ofvoice,he didnt avoid any hard note.is technically perfect.no way to deny.it doesnt mean bonnet's is bad ,you dont have to haate one to like the other ...both are top singers

  • 2:00-2:13 the same thing lol

  • R.I.P. Marcel Jacob.

To all that say that this is the same riff as Spotlight Kid: it sounds similar and sure Yngwie took inspiration by it, but it's not played the same. ;-)

  • @julesdb

Are you nuts!?! It's the same riff... same key... same notes.... identical.....

  • on of the riffs sound like Ritchie Blackmore :) Rainbow - Spotlight Kid :)

  • Yes Yngwie probably did the best job of smashing a guitar ever , in this video he spends a lot of time breaking the body into small pieces LOl

  • any tab of the yngwie solo ?

  • HOW FUN !!!!!

  • anyone else think that soto's voice was dubbed in here?

  • Anyone notice that the guitar Yngwie is playing is not scalloped, probably cause he smashes it to bits later. I doubt he afford to be breaking his good guitars, at least at this point in his career. I know he can afford it now. Love this tune and love Jeff Scott Soto's vocals. I used to have this on VHS but the tape broke. I guess I could tape it together but my VHS player took a crap, too. Is this out on DVD? Great post. Peace.

  • The riff is the same as rainbow´s spotlight kid! malmsteen is a blackmore´s clon and he admit that, the fact is Malmsteen is an extraordinay guitar player but blackmore is an extraordinary composer (and player too but of course).

  • @thorba69 i agree with your comment but i think this is more of a TRIBUTE to the great man ritchie blackmore than an intentional rip bye the way you tube blackmores nights with candice night live in germany UTTERLY awesome....!!!!!

  • @MICKEYISLOWD blackmore got caught in a pussy lock,by candice and is doing pop weak as hell songs thinking its a celta thing....theres a celtic harmonies in B.N.but is obscured by the pop way they do it.....embaressing

  • YJM was 21 when he made this performance - To all those who bang on about Ritchie Blackmore - he was never this good at 21. Yngwie took Ritchie's vibe and tone and took it to another level. People often just concentrate on the scales and the speed but he has amazing vibrato and phrasing....shame he didn't keep it up...his tone now is awful.

  • Jeff Scott Soto singer of the movie "RockStar" is Bobby Beers

  • @JeissonCardenas2102 no it's not

  • @mmorrison69 YES IS HIM,SEEMS SOME OTHER SINGERS PARTICIPATE TOO,BUT THE MAIN SINGING WAS DONE BY JEFF,THERE ARE VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE SHOWING SOTO RECORDING

  • Is this Yngwie's own band or Alcatraz ?

  • It's Yngwie's Rising Force.

  • the song is from alcatrazz... but i think this is yngwie's rising force

  • holy freaking shit!

  • avec ce qu'il fait à la strat, on a envie de la lui enfoncer dans le cul une bonne fois pour toutes

  • the way he treats guitars....fender would have to open 10 new factories make 10000002029383 times the amount of strats to keep him supplied

  • el estribillo de la cancion es de espolight kid

  • so much better than bonnet!

  • YM is a wizard I I'm awestruck once again I like graham bonnet though and a tragedy about the strat.

  • Gosh I thought it was Rainbow's "Spotlight Kid" :)))

  • The intro to the first solo is basically the same as the main theme from Fire and Ice! Never heard this song before, the band sounded great! Love the pure, non-processed Malmsteen tone!

  • yeah I noticed that too

  • He's not..... DON'T GET ME WRONG

He has his own style playing of guitar

Some idiots say the same thing b/c he has done some albums with Graham Bonnet, and Joe Lynn Turner... HOWEVER & WHATSOEVER Yngwie is not a wannabe of Blackmore

The world does not accept the wannabes...

  • Malmsteen's whole image and approach to playing was based on Blackmore LONG before he became famous. Working with Bonnet and Turner came after and has little to do with my point. - IDIOT??? I have forgotten more then you'll ever know!

  • he listened to blackmore very true....

when he was young, he listened to Deep Purple.... HOW the Fuck Ever, he thought the songs were too easy, then he start putting some classical stuff into the rock music... So, Musically and piece of shit u know are very not true. Im telling you....

Hendrix and Deep Purple were just the start of Yngwie playing guitar....BUT HE TAUGHT HIMSELF LISTENING TO BACH AND PAGANINI AND SUCH

u r the one who thinks know more..but not..

i read many interviews of him

  • So who ever disagress with you is a piece of shit? - No worries here, you're still WRONG!

    Keep reading interviews FANBOY! LOL!!!

  • yeah.. I am a fan of yngwie..huge fan...

u couldn't even prove that i was wrong or not...

i have the fact and i know what's right,

    but you don't...

so just get the fuk off plz

    u thought u knew something.. but...lol

    EPIC FAIL OF YA

  • I know PLENTY. I just refuse to waste my time arguing with whiners that resort to expletives whenever someone disagrees with them.

  • sure kid...

    nice excuse :D

and if u really refuse to waste ur time..

    u wouldn't be replying back..

but i'd like to teach ppl don't know anything

  • this version is way better than the studio version

  • this riff is "borrowed" from Rainbow song "Spotlight Kid"...look it up on YT and tell us what ya think?

  • yeah its almost the same riff, they are even in the same key, but yngwie is tuned a half step down here, but in alcatrazz it was not, so it sounds almost the same

  • Soto kicks ass here, yngwies greates singer ever (along with JLT)!!

  • Dunno I like Ripper Owens too tbh.

  • @Erotomaniac92 .Agreed my friend. Good call.

  • one of the best Alcatrazz songs. and Soto kicks Bonnet's ass!

  • I gotta say, the line "We're white as ivory on the Ivory Coast" is pretty clever.
