Well I've never played on any other electric kit than my own one so it's hard to say. What I would say is that if you don't want to blow your budget to smithereens, then this kit is the answer. I got mine on ebay for GB£300. It's good enough to be real fun to play, the pads have a good feel off them. The main limitation is one trigger per pad, so no bell sound for example from the ride and similarly limited with the snare.
