I object to everything changing. I started when I was 16. I'm the same person as I was, but I'm allowed to be more myself. Oubiously living as a female has Haas an impact on how I act, but I do not think these changes come from brain chemistry shift.. but my friends do say I'm like a new person... so maybe I've just forgotten what being a Guy was like...
Been on HRT over three years, no loss in direction, no sex drive anymore, not attracted to guys just because i was now on hormones, do not have the physical strength I once did as a guy before hormones, did not lose body hair just because of hormones.
Skin does feel softer, hair is softer, nails grow quicker, nipples were sore all the time and my testicles got smaller.
I like the entire transition thing that is happening.
Year ago when I first tried hormones, I was excited by what I was seeing. The only negative affect I saw was my appetite for chocolate increased dramatically. Infortunately I had to start and stop twice. The only silver lining is I knew I would feel the effects of estrogen for years... even today I still do notice my emotions are are still moving away from being totally male. I am way beyond the point I would like. Everyday I try hard not to be a male.
LOL, you get lost in a parking lot, i had no idea that was a female trait. I am geneticly male and have had the same problem! of course I think I'm GID. I have other very feminine qualities about me from birth on. caused tons of social problems. today my natural hormones have switched to high E and am transitioning no hrt required.
i am 42 and married with kids, thats big concern, because I am not gay or lesbian. and my wife is very homophobic. she is having issues about me turning into a woman
At the moment and all through my teenage years, music has meant everything to me, playing in bands has brought forth some the most glorious friendships and moments, my passion for sound is unyielding, but I'm worried now that this passion might fade or die.
Music saved me from doing some stupid things when I was young and now that I've grown and found myself (hopefully through upcoming HRT), I'd be distraught if I were to lose that love I have for sound.
Great video, Jordan. 4+ mos. into estrogen and Spironolactone, and things ARE changing. I cry much more easily. More sensitive emotionally. I relate more and more with my gf, with whom I'm planning a life w after bottom surgery. YES, people, your breasts begin to grow, and they are tender during this time. Hair and skin become softer. Some body hair growth slows/changes. But I do laser removal on my face, chest, genital areas. Next, I'll do electrolysis. Yes, these are painful, but not that bad
@nhusean have you considered ipl? I'm looking into it, and it seems to have faster results than electrolysis, and just as good. The overall cost is lower also... btw, im just now trying to start transition. I live in the middle of nowhere kansas, so it's hard. Any advice would be welcome <3
Okay first of all an A's Fan please evry one knows its the Cubs LOL :-) To all the haters out there release that they are jealous. To me that the guys you hand out with are losers. release that that woman talk over 10K words per day Males only talk 3K words per day. Woman are more verbal and it seems that this is coming more and more to you. Woman are better at communication then males. Looks like you are noticing things that you had missed before, when I see your videos I see a happy woman
I just recently started my transition and I was having a hard time emotionally....until I found all the girls on youtube talking about their experiences. It has been so comforting...especially your videos. Thank you! :)
ok will i lose weight in my shoulders and make me look more femm???/ omg i freakin hope so.....tell me please....i really need to know this....im in desperate times....
@kaylee932 I believe thats bone structure. Your muscle will change but im not so sure about that. As for losing weight you will probably need to work like the rest of us to lose it unless you're naturaly skinny but for some poeple I do hear there body changes because of the muscle. Other than the obvious things like breasts thats about all I know from what I have been told.
I'm JUST beginning my transition (pre-HRT) and I ALREADY feel like I've never had much in common with guys. I already HAVE to multitask, but at the same time my brain feels full of "noise." I've always been the more make-eye-contact-and-have-really-emotionally-connected-relationships sort of person...I've always been far more interested in an emotional relationship than just a "shoot-the-shit" relationship. It's so strange...is this a good thing, or should I prepare for more stuff?
I think the hormones can take u so far then u have to have ffs look at the bone structure, I have changed but not by far what I want my ears are too big my nose is way to big and I need a curled upper lip. Also I am having hell to try to get rid of my middle fat. Thighs are not big enough. I have been on patches and pills 2-1/2 years and changes are there but not as much as I wanted. I have no sex drive, lost passion for almost everything and am scared of people now trashtalking me I am 56 too
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I beg to differ. Female hormones affect everyone differently. Don't tell people what you experience is what they'll feel. Anyone about to take hormones, erase any preconceptions where it comes to creativity, "talking through movies", getting lost and other personality traits that are NOT YOU. Certain physical symptoms are likely but those also vary with the person. The advice offered here is not good advice. People, feel what you feel, not what somebody tells you.
@DMK195601 huh. didn't mean for people to be offended. it is my experience and other trans folk that i have talked to. check out the coversation of the fan page. i started a thread that asked what changes you didn't expect. everyone plays video games less, is a little spacier, more talkative, and everyone was getting a laugh about how lost we are compared to our male selves. i am positive that that is an effect to expect. but obviously hormones effect everyone differently, i have repeatedly
Thanks for this video. I must say the 'talking while movies/sports is on' was a thing I did all the time. My male partner has been very patient but some of our male buddy's less so!It is only in watching this video of yours that I realized I have stopped talking during movies.
Funnily I now fall asleep if it does not get my whole attention!lol.Either I watch and say nothing or I fall asleep! (two months on T-shots).I also secretly thought I was a 'fake-guy' cause I had so many female traits B4..
@damarul I am struck by the number of women who are known for their creativity - musicians, composers, poets, writers, chefs, etc. I'm not qualified to say that HRT is risk-free in terms of creativity, but creativity doesn't seem to me to be a gender-specific trait.
holy crap, i knew that hormones change alot, but I did't think that they change soo much, like the loss of orientation skills and behaviour, etc. thx for this x3
Jordan...you are so bright! Get your degree...you would make a fabulous therapist. Yopu have soooo much insight. You introspection is so on target. God bless you. You really are soooo much a woman in every respect. As a clinical psychologist, you go girl. We love you too. Dee, Phd
@dgxchange Thank you Dee for your comments. I have struggled all my adult life with wanting to be female. Now I am much older and feel stuck but the desire to become my inner woman is so much stronger. Wish I were younger like Jordan. So frightened and confused.
hey jordan, i love watching your videos. i live up here in canada, and im not sure if you get this show called "Degrassi". they recently did an episode of transgender with the issue of the bathroom. go to muchmusic. com and look for tv shows. and look for "degrassi" hopefully you find it
Hey Jordan, has anyone ever told you that you resemble Alicia Silverstone? Especially in the article "Alicia Silverstone thanks fans" on Real bolly wood dot com.
Im starting HRT in late August (was supposed to be in July, but money issues forced me to postpone) I look at you, your videos and listen to your words and am totally convinced that continuing my path into HRT and beyond is the only way I will be happy. Please know that as I move forward that you have been a pivotal part of me releasing my fear!!! I cant thank you enough!! HUGE HUGS!! :)
I know exactly what you ment with the whole brain chemistry, thing it's funny what you talked about with the movies because the 1st movie ive gone to since i started hrt and after you said this i relised that during the entire movie i was talking lol and it was in 3D. :D love your vids jorden im so happy your straitening your hair again :D
OMG JORDAN I have learned so much from your videos, but this one hit close to home. Its what I have been thinking about and no I am soooo motivated. You truly are a blessing to the LBTG community.
rofl.. i'm a girl.. and that is so true about getting lost in parking lots. I always forget where i parked, especially at big shops. So frustrating trying to find my car lolll.
Well said, Beautiful!!!My doctor was telling me about a MTFT that misses being able to (as a man) mow a lawn barechested, sitting on a beach in the same state of undress. WTF!!!-lol-krw
What you said is so true an if I may add our emotions change and we become much more sensitive to things as well . There definitely is a gender change in all aspects .
Yeah I totally agree with you, I've only been in transition for 7 months but even now I notice how my mannerisms are different, the way I walk/talk is more girly & I <3 it. But even thou i've changed alot I still enjoy alot of the same hobbies I did as a male, I still play video games, I still love to rock out to my music & I still love to go rafting in the summer haha. Oh & jordan you look so cute in that ball cap!! : )
Thanks Jordan you have been such an inspiration to me and many other people here your such and awesome woman a so strong I hope i can be as strong and beautiful as you when i start my journey

Hormones have actually made it a lot harder for me to do my job, I used to be really good at making logical decisions and now I have to concentrate a lot harder as I've usually got about 6 different things on my mind.
HRT will change everything, and you won't notice a lot of it until after it has already happened, I didn't realise until about a year later how much my face had changed.
Oh and loving the lip ring...I wonder who else has one of those :-) hehe xx
