  • i was there in the public

  • l estate dell amore

  • Eu nasci no tempo errado, eu deveria estar lá em 1969...

Janis Joplin é fantástica inesplicavel incomparável, etc, etc, etc.

  • @renatorobim1 por favor me podrias decir como se llama esta cancion.

  • @renatorobim1 no tempo errado, oplin é fantástica eu deveria estar lá em 1969...eu deveria estar lá em 1969...

    inexplicável incomparável

  • For you Dóris Amorim

  • apparently, she was so high on heroin that night, it took them 8 hours to sober her up. She couldn't move and only sing shortly...

Her music is amazing, gives me goosebumps, it was my time...

  • The part of the song that goes, "Every day I keep pushing; keep trying to move forward, but something is driving me ooohh oooh back.." Is how I feel sometimes when I'm trying so hard and everything goes all wrong. Does anyone know who wrote Work Me Lord? It's so realistic.

  • @zdiversable Per Wikipedia: Nick "The Greek" Gravenites and Gravy, is a blues, rock and folk singer–songwriter, and is best known for his work w/ Janis Joplin, Mike Bloomfield & several influential bands springing from the 60s & 70s.

"Work Me, Lord" is a song from Janis Joplin's 'I Got Dem Ol' Kozmic Blues Again Mama! ' album, her first after departing the Big Brother and the Holding Company. It was a part of Joplin's set at Woodstock Festival in 1969. Written for Janis by Nick.

  • God I love this sooooong!!! And Janice sings it like she really feels the words. In real life she never found love and took drugs because of her lonliness. It makes me cry for her. She died too soon. Whenever I listen to this song, I say softly, "Poor Janice, you just didn't stick around long enough to find that special someone and God did work you. Your music will live forever!"

  • How cute in the beginning when she asks if everyone is ok? "Staying stoned? Got enough water and a place to sleep?" An endearing squeak of laughter and she rips the lid off that amazing voice. (smile)

  • If you think this is a great song you should look up Sumertime by Janis here on youtube it will give you true shivers up and down your spine over and over

  • @CharlieZeroFreek all songs of janis do

  • Il discorso iniziale è una bomba!!! Sto facendo una tesina su di lei : ) Mi manca, la sua voce è una delle poche che mi fa vibrare letteralmente l'anima!

  • Work Me Lord-one Janis she's pretty heavy.

  • hey, thats a great song... but can anyone tell me what it´s called?

    Please?

    THX 4 your help.

  • Too bad drugs killed her at such a young age.

  • @armjoint1 You're right... but it was her own choice and her way of life. So yes - I'm sorry about she has died so young and that she couldn't do more music but... as I said, it was her way of life and I think this way of life (including drugs) made her able to do such a good music...

  • I like Janis she had alot of soul in her music but I can't get into it like i can with the grateful dead or the doors but I still like her music

  • I can appreciate Janis but can't listen to her for an extended amount of time - just too much. By the end of this song I was not relaxed or "getting it". legend? maybe - if a great singer = from the heart then what if I scream from the heart? just trying to keep it real, not everyone has to love Janis because everyone says they do...ye ol bandwagon.

  • swayed back and forth listening to this...

  • rockowa wokalistka wszech czasów:)

  • @jimw350 not on the bus

  • @jimw350 Your attempt at trolling is just terrible. Go sit in a hole by yourself.

You'll never get back that time. It was the phantastic time. And Janis was the best of her genre. She lived her songs, her songs were here live, her live was her songs

  • I LOVE YOUUUUU JANISSSSSSSSSSS

  • bravo b j n

  • Loved that cackle she had. Didn't see her when I went to Woodstock. But did see a concert after she left Big Brother and the Holding Company. She was an electric performer.

  • impresionante que fuerza

  • only you.

  • If we let go of her full tilt boogie or hard rock songs and we stop to hear her sing a Rodger's and Hart song like "Little Girl Blue", it is then that we marvel in her lyrical, sentimental Broadway tunes which are as lovely and polished as Ethel Merman or Joel Gray...Brava Diva Janis!

  • @jcuartas2 Thank you I've been going mental trying to find this

  • Wow I love how her voice is raspy and heavy. I wish I was a 60's flower child

  • song?

  • I can't listen to a note she ever sang without having tears come to my eyes. We were lucky to have her in this world for the time we did. God bless you Janis. I love you.

  • Epocale

  • la bruja cosmica , por siempre

  • 13 billions years. One Janis.

  • @SharerVideo Existem pessoas que vem a este mundo como Estrelas cadentes: brilham; encantam, e vão embora sem que consigamos mostrar toda a nossa surpresa.

  • Janis Joplin Woodstock

  • Ne Kleine Frau mit ner Grossen Stimme

    Rest in Peace Janis

  • also ich weiß nicht so recht....

  • @dewqq Umm.. try 40 years. (1970 to 2010 is 40 years she's been dead)

  • 30 years now Janis! RIP

  • @dewqq 40

  • Literally organic.

  • there is no nobody like her she is unique -

  • Robert Plant WISHES he were the male Janis, there will never be another Janis RIP sister.

  • @rainspirit100 Robert always cut corners when he sang live. He modified the melodies so he wouldn't have to sing the high notes. The shows were good but the vocal performances were inferior. Janice's vocals were as good or better live

  • great voice

  • most amazing female singer ever...goosebumps all ova..she blows me away

  • @maritree i keep saying i was born in the wrong generation lol i love janis and jimi hendrix and the doors and all them. the music business would be totally different now if those guys were still around

  • love janis

  • See photos of Janis at Woodstock by Barry Z levine at woodstockwitness, a dot com site

  • @HybridFalcon Does it matter? She could have sung the alphabet and it would have touched your soul.

  • Unique !

  • theirs not a persone thats ever walk on this eart that can pull off a janis joplin scream

  • neponovljiva je

  • one of best artist !!!!

  • i near almost cried after whatching this...not because of the words of the song just her voice hearing the pain and everything

  • R.I.P you beautiful soulful Woman *S* that bared everything

  • totally a female robert plant!!! i agree

  • Janis is awesome. I'm not old enough to have gone to Woodstock, so this is great!!

  • No, Robert Plant is the male version of Janis Joplin.

  • @MrFartmonkey Both are great singers and original artists; and I don't see any similarities between them to be honest!!

  • @MrFartmonkey Janis is WAY better singer than Robert Plant! Janis is in a class all by herself.

  • She didn't sing melodies, she sang chords! I'd like to see modern music make that with their auto-tune

  • She sounds a lot like Robert Plant! O_O

  • can't be oblivious to the fact her heart is in this song.. i love this!!! RIP Janis

  • What a voice awsome

  • With those key changes, was she off even once with her scat vocals? A tonal genius, but even had she lived, her voice would have crashed. Ten more years, and she would have sounded like Tom Waits

  • What's the name of this song? please

  • whats the name of the song??

  • @barcarey . Work me lord . Janis joplin .

  • I love janis joplin for me is the best singer of all the times....

  • pure feelings and pain coming thru my computer screen...she was incredible

  • Where did you get this footage? I own the woodstock movie and she is not on it. Please let me know, i freakin love Janis

  • @MyJamesbond123 It's not on the normal woodstock movie, only on the 25th anniversary director's cut.

  • @MyJamesbond123

    yes it is

  • amazing-that incredibly raw sound comes from that tiny girl...Janis was a goddess.

  • i love you janis even though you died before i was born

  • but the name of the song?

  • @margieale01 Name is Work Me Lord

  • That voice... Still gives me thrills like first time I ever listened to it. 3:50... Tsss, just so beautiful. You feel like she's naked in front of you.

  • what a talent --- I miss her so very much

  • Robert Plant started off as a joke. I can't remember why? But, the audience loved him. He reminds me of Dustin Hoffman.

  • i would do anything to live back in those times..... the hippies, woodstock, were both so amazing. they were both so right.

  • before her woodstock performance she shot up a large amount of heroine and drank a large amount of alcohol. :/ hey but she still sang pretty good

  • @jejazz13 You have actually no proof of that heroine whatsoever. & u really don't think any 1 is going to make u prove that statement in court rite? J was pregnant in Woodstock...why would she shoot up heroine. U are? an expert? No alcohol and definitely no heroine. Why do I KNOW THAT? Cause she was arrested right after her performance in Woodstock and the FBI EXPERTS did a drug test on her blood. So...why are u saying this as a truth when it isn't?

  • @iriswigle Because wikipedia said so. Wikipedia has valid facts.

  • @jejazz13 Then, Wik is wrong. Thanks for informing me.

  • what is this song called?

  • I had a fantstic time with the concert of Francesca de Fazi "Tribute to Janis Joplin" Concert in Zurich Switzerland at this Easter 2010. She came in as Janis Joplin and was going as Francesca de Fazi. brilliantly!

  • can you say BAKED?!?!?!?!??!?!!
