  • Awesome !!!

  • best song I 've heard, and I'm proud of being a chinese

  • When you look at the Western point of view of anything, they tend to stress how they were the first to do something, or they did something the best. This also applies here because in China, they teach the kids the Tibetan name, although Sinicised for better pronunciation. (Everest was a British adventurer who was the first Brit to get to the top of 珠穆朗玛峰.) When they teach world history here in Houston, they basically mean European history, American history.

  • Zhu Mu Lang Ma is Chomolangma in Tibetan which means 'Mother Goddess of the Earth'.

  • 中国什么都有,中国万岁

  • Do Japanese have their independent diplomatic policy? No. They just follow Americans.Uuh... It is the same as the dog in house.

  • 很對,日本就是US的狗!

  • 中学时候就有这首歌多好,不用死记硬背了

  • That Prof. said: Why do you say that in Tibetan? I said I was so taught in junior high English class, and it is not known by any other names in China. Everybody looked at me with an unusual awe in their face.

From that moment, I know how proud that feels when I say Mt. QiaoMoLongMa in English but no one from any other country was taught by its proper name. It still feels very proud today. ^_^

  • don't they call it XiMaLaYa Shan in china? that would be mt everest, right?

  • Mt. QiaoMoLangMa is the peak. Hymalaya is mountain range.

It is Mt. QiaoMoLangMa in the Hymalaya mountains.

Who is Everest? It does not sound like anything that is remotely related to Tibet.

  • I still remember the moment in a weekend party when I uttered that name, the American prof . said: what's that? His student from India said to him: "that must be Mt. Everest in Tibetan". Everybody who heard that suddenly started looking at me.

  • Yea! Mt. QiaoMoLongma!

Onec upon a time, among many American professors and fellow students from various continnts, I called that peak by its proper Tibean name but no one else was able to, because I was so taught in my Englich class in China, and no other country has that name right.

  • I'M glad they made a song about how good China is, i can stop telling everyone and just show them this video, haha
