STEELER NATION! Fuck these idiots who don't know ANYTHING about football and make lame excuses for the hawks or the cardinals. Pittsburgh was better than both those teams, that's why they won the games.
Green Bay was the better team, but Pittsburgh STILL almost pulled it off last year. You don't see Steeler fans bitching about losing like all these other fucking babies.
Ever notice how fans of teams that never win the super bowl always claim that the super bowl winners 'cheated' or they 'paid the refs'. Basically saying that the better team never wins and that teams who don't make the super bowl are actually better than those who do, but they just don't cheat or pay the refs. Pathetic. Sadly, it says a lot about who and what those people really are on the inside. Miserable.
@MrJtr1888 It would be really pathetic if Denver fans claimed that after getting thumped by San Francisco 55-10 in whatever super bowl that was... but yeah I'm tired of these people saying the Steelers paid for Super Bowl 40 and 43 (and forgot to pay the refs in 45)... Sadly some of this people like Y2Pimpact will hold on to their ignorant opinions forever.
@ProSportsFan94........honestly GET A LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU STUPID ASS BITCH....all you do with your life is HATE on a team that has success..... you hate on guys...that you wish you could be.....get off the internet and GO OUTSIDE and get a girl or a hooker.....PEACE

@cmullen69 Hines dropped a perfectly thrown TD pass by Ben in the 2nd quarter and Ben may have only completed 9 balls but they were all needed and he threw the block on this play that was essential as well as avoiding pressure on some of those 9 passes he completed and ran for first downs to set up the Randel El play and to seal the game late. There is more to football than just passing.
@ProSportsFan94 ...OVERRATED LMAO..just have had top 5 in the last 10 years in almost every statistical category but yea ther overrated....this comment is overrated ur just a hater.....

@jaymac508 Kinda like the 75 yd TD run by fast Willie, I think some how we cheated on that play also? Maybe its illegal to run that fast cause its not fair to the others or you cant make a TD without being untouched?

Seahawks knew it would be tough playing the Steelers, but I don't think they knew that they were also playing against the referees too...sucks for them.
@Phenomiracle: I suppose it was the refs that made Hasselbeck run a slower two minute offense at the end of both halves than my grandma.....Good job. Deny all the mistake by the Seahawks and use the refs as an excuse. That's a good way to make it through life, blame everything on others. That's a real good way to keep friends and hold down a job.
All due respect to the Steelers because they won the SB but of course they weren't the best team that year. Many years, the best team doesn't even make it to the SB. The Steelers beat the Colts in a total fluke that year and the Colts were widely considered the favorites.
the bus was wide open on the left side on this play as well....but i'm sure seattle fans will say the refs gave the steelers this play, and the refs gave the steelers the 75 yard TD to parker, and the refs dropped numerous passes throughout the game (stevens), and the refs turned the ball over in the red zone in the 4th quarter....wait, that wasn't the refs, that...that was seattle, wasn't it?...i've never met a group who whines nearly as much as seattle fans
i really hate Al Michaels in this...he didnt sound all excited and into it as annpouncers SHOULD be... "And he threw a touchdown to Hines Ward in the Super Bowl...." the Monday Night Football announcers were more into it when he threw one against the Bengals this past Monday!
@ArthVaduh Hey skipper! I live in Spokane and I would love for the Hawks to go elsewhere. Look at my new video about the Seahawks if you don't believe me. The only team worth anything is the Mariners. RIP Dave Neihaus. Summers will never be the same...
@ArthVaduh The Mariners are going to win it all this year. Dave Neihaus is going to have a talk with God. The Mariners are for real. Look what Wedge did with the cursed Tribe. Go Mariners!!!!
@Y2Pimpact what game did u watch ? guess that pass from El and the TD run were called by the reffs also . If anything they favored the seattle ... get over it man
@Y2Pimpact JESUS CHRIST DUDE! THE REFS DIDN'T HELP THE STEELERS WIN THIS FUCKING GAME! GET THE HELL OVER IT! DARRELL JACKSON PUSHED OFF ON THAT PASS INTERFERENCE CALL! NO TOUCHDOWN! BEN BROKE THE PLANE ON THE QB SNEAK IN THE 2ND QUARTER, AND SHAWN LOCKLEAR HELD CLARK HAGGANS IN THE 4TH QUARTER ON THE PASS TO JERRAMY STEVENS IN THE 4TH QUARTER, SO THAT PLAY SHOULD HAVE COME BACK, AS IT DID! SO ALL YOU STEELER-HATERS WHO SAY THE REFS GAVE THE STEELERS SUPER BOWL 40 CAN JUST SHUT THE HELL UP!
Blame the Seahawks for giving up a 75 run to willie parker and the big touchdown on this play. Don't give up big plays and you don't lose. If you blame the refs your just looking for excuses. Steelers were the better team. They proved it again several years down the road when the won a second one. I guess your going to say the refs handed that game to them also.
@troybellringer55 Exactly! And great teams always find a way to overcome bad circumstances such as poor officiating. The Seahawks are a bunch of whiny babies and now they have the worst playoff team in the history of the league.
Nope Steelers beat us straight up in Pitt when we re- matched um.... But then again let's get real ANY GIVEN SUNDAY any NFL team can beat another.... So the rematch had little to do with this day WHEN Seattle got butt jobbed by the refs ... WHO OPENLY admitted to blowing several call's just recently..... You mention the Willy Parker TD well let the refs throw a fucking holding penalty and take that shit back like they to us all night long.... That day was bad for the NFL
yeah but this play was set up by BULL!@#%!@# ..... They called and illegal block on a tackle against Hasselbeck which put the ball at mid field and set up this play..... AND THAT came after a holding call that put the Seahawks on the 1 yard line.... BIGGEST BS Superbowl in history.....
Seahawks had the better record.... Seahawks won pretty much every stat category in that game even with the yards being taken away in penalties.... It's the fist time in Superbowl history a team has won despite losing in so many stat categories... ARE YOU SURE the better team won that year ? I don't think so....Refs were horrific and were bought off as far as I'm concerned.... that was the happy ending the wanted.....
@funkyflights Seahawks had a great season that year but what have they done since then. Nothing. Besides their division that year was way too easy. No threats whatsoever. Rams sucked, 49ers sucked, and Cardinals sucked. That is some easy stats. I give them props for getting there but Seahawks weren't ready for the Steelers.
We came and overtime loss away from going back to the NFC title game the next year.... I would say that's something... but we also got depleted from bad decisions from our GM Ruskell who lost Hutch on our line and made some bad personnel decisions.... We had a solid draft this year though and with Pete Carroll we'll just have to see what affect that has....
They made the playoffs 2 times after this .... advance to the divisional round the next year and took the eventual Super bowl bound Chicago Bears to over-time.... so we were a kick away from the NFC title game the next year... Then we advanced to the divisional round and lost to the Packers... SO we did do something after that... We just lost some key players like Hutch on our offensive line and Alexander was hurt and never the same...
@funkyflights Yeah Alexander was never the same after that injury. The Madden Curse at its worst. Well I hope you make the playoffs this year, you guys have a good chance considering your division ain't very good. Our playoff chances are over.
Yeah that Madden curse is no joke.... When Alexander made the cover I was like NOOOOOOOOOOO!! And yeah man our division is bad but hey if you can make the playoffs you do it and take your chances....I doubt who-ever wins the NFC west will go very far ... But the playoffs can be unpredictable sometimes .... Hey man what's up with Vince Young ? Last time I watched him play he seemed to really be coming around.... Plus the Titans running game is SOLID with Chris Johnson
@funkyflights I can't believe i'm finally gonna see a televised Rams game lol. I don't know much about Charlie Whitehurst but it looks he's your guy. And I don't think Vince is gonna be here next year. He got a season ending injury and him and Jeff Fisher got in a huge fight and I don't think Vince has been in the Titans organization since. Vince might be a Seahawk next year but i'm not sure Pete Carroll would like that lol. I hope we get a good QB in the draft or maybe McNabb. Who knows?
I know man... Seahawks this year have been VERY inconsistent so I'm not expecting much... Hass MIGHT play but it's a game time decision... He's had a bad year though ... We have no running game to speak of... We might sneak into the playoffs possibly but I doubt we'll do much... Saint and Falcons are looking like the teams to beat in the NFC... In the AFC there is overall more good teams right now... That's too bad about Vince Young because he was playing decent!
@funkyflights You guys should have kept LenDale White. I still think he is a great running back. But either way I hope the Seahawks win because if you do we get a better draft pick than you guys lol. That means we could possibly get Jake Locker or Ryan Mallett and i'm pretty sure Seahawks are looking to draft a QB as well. You know that 12th man is gonna play a huge factor in the game. It's SNF, if you win you're going to the playoffs, and it's a rookie QB so the noise will get to him.
Careful with Jack Locker... his accuracy is not great... It's hard to say if he'll make it as a starting qb in the NFL.. AND HEY man we made the playoffs! I'll take it...
Dude, who cares who the best team was? It's about who wins the Super Bowl. I guess according to you we should have just skipped the playoffs and awarded the championship to the 16-0 Patriots.
And besides, for all the stat categories the Seahawks won that game, it's just too bad they didn't win the only one that actually counts for something - scoreboard.
Dude I CARE.... I want fair play... and that day it wasn't and as a matter of fact the ref from Super-Bowl 40 admitted to blowing some crucial calls.... GO to NFL .com or ESPN and read it for yourself.... He say's he's gonna take it to the grave... HMMMMMMM.... sounds like a half confession to me....
@funkyflights The Steelers also had the two most important plays of the game, so yes the better team won. You can't give up a 70+ yard run and a trick play for scores and expect to win the game. And let's not forget two games prior to that when the refs tried to hand Indy the game but the Steelers wouldn't let it happen.
Take out the flag and throw a holding call on both those big plays for the Steelers and then you would feel what the Seahawks felt.... And I do agree the refs didn't do a good job when the Steelers played Indy.... And I didn't think that was fair either...
@funkyflights I understand the perception that the refs "threw" the game for the Steelers, but I honestly just think those calls were human error. That's always been a part of football, and teams at one point or another will have to overcome a bad call or two to win a championship. I'm just kind of tired of people saying I should be ashamed to win the game (not you) because of these calls. The Steelers went out and did what they had to do to win.
I know there is always human error..... BUT in the biggest game of the year you just hate to see it then.... I've watched 30 plus years of Super-bowls ... and NEVER have I seen the refs take over like they did in the 40th bowl.... It just sucked to watch... and you shouldn't be ashamed it's not Pitts fault .... You guy's are a good team... it's the refs I blame....
@funkyflights Wasn't really bullshit. The Seahawks kept dropping passes and let that 70 something yard run happen which really killed them. Hasselbeck also threw a costly interception before that BS penalty. I think the Steelers would have won regardless.
I agree Seattle made mistakes... BUT when they did something good there was the refs calling it back... Even the ref admitted he screwed up on several calls... That's pretty telling right there.... HOW Often do you here about a ref coming forward about bad calls 5 years later... Dude said he will take it to his grave! I mean common....
@funkyflights all i know is this... the ball broke the plain on the roethlisberger bootleg....look at it... slow it down and do what you gotta do...the proof is in the poodin....
That play didn't upset me as much... I think you guy's would a punched that one in on the next play anyway... What ticked me off was the illegal block call on a tackle... The holding call in the 4th when we had the ball on Pitt's 1 yard line... Push off in the endzone when Jackson was clearly grabbed first... And numerous holding calls on good punt returns....

I guess your going to say the refs handed that game to them also.
troybellringer55 1 year ago 30
@troybellringer55 But they did.
BarackSays 1 year ago
@troybellringer55 they did, lol but not as bad as Super bowl XL! lol
ColtsHighlights 1 year ago
@troybellringer55 Exactly! And great teams always find a way to overcome bad circumstances such as poor officiating. The Seahawks are a bunch of whiny babies and now they have the worst playoff team in the history of the league.
TARPfan4life 1 year ago
@TARPfan4life actually the Texans do they have never made the playoffs lol

@troybellringer55
That day was bad for the NFL
funkyflights 1 year ago 2
@troybellringer55 no you just had the better refs, there's no way you were the better team
ArthVaduh 1 year ago
yeah but this play was set up by BULL!@#%!@# ..... They called and illegal block on a tackle against Hasselbeck which put the ball at mid field and set up this play..... AND THAT came after a holding call that put the Seahawks on the 1 yard line.... BIGGEST BS Superbowl in history.....
funkyflights 1 year ago
@funkyflights Yeah I agree there were a bunch of stupid calls but the better team won in the end.
TennesseeTitans4Life 1 year ago
@TennesseeTitans4Life
Seahawks had the better record.... Seahawks won pretty much every stat category in that game even with the yards being taken away in penalties.... It's the fist time in Superbowl history a team has won despite losing in so many stat categories... ARE YOU SURE the better team won that year ? I don't think so....Refs were horrific and were bought off as far as I'm concerned.... that was the happy ending the wanted.....
funkyflights 1 year ago
@funkyflights Seahawks had a great season that year but what have they done since then. Nothing. Besides their division that year was way too easy. No threats whatsoever. Rams sucked, 49ers sucked, and Cardinals sucked. That is some easy stats. I give them props for getting there but Seahawks weren't ready for the Steelers.
TennesseeTitans4Life 1 year ago
@TennesseeTitans4Life
We came and overtime loss away from going back to the NFC title game the next year.... I would say that's something... but we also got depleted from bad decisions from our GM Ruskell who lost Hutch on our line and made some bad personnel decisions.... We had a solid draft this year though and with Pete Carroll we'll just have to see what affect that has....
funkyflights 1 year ago
@TennesseeTitans4Life
They made the playoffs 2 times after this .... advance to the divisional round the next year and took the eventual Super bowl bound Chicago Bears to over-time.... so we were a kick away from the NFC title game the next year... Then we advanced to the divisional round and lost to the Packers... SO we did do something after that... We just lost some key players like Hutch on our offensive line and Alexander was hurt and never the same...
funkyflights 1 year ago
@funkyflights Yeah Alexander was never the same after that injury. The Madden Curse at its worst. Well I hope you make the playoffs this year, you guys have a good chance considering your division ain't very good. Our playoff chances are over.
TennesseeTitans4Life 1 year ago
@TennesseeTitans4Life
Yeah that Madden curse is no joke.... Plus the Titans running game is SOLID with Chris Johnson
funkyflights 1 year ago
@funkyflights I can't believe i'm finally gonna see a televised Rams game lol. I don't know much about Charlie Whitehurst but it looks he's your guy. And I don't think Vince is gonna be here next year. He got a season ending injury and him and Jeff Fisher got in a huge fight and I don't think Vince has been in the Titans organization since. Vince might be a Seahawk next year but i'm not sure Pete Carroll would like that lol. I hope we get a good QB in the draft or maybe McNabb. Who knows?
TennesseeTitans4Life 1 year ago
@TennesseeTitans4Life
I know man... That's too bad about Vince Young because he was playing decent!
funkyflights 1 year ago
@funkyflights You guys should have kept LenDale White. I still think he is a great running back. But either way I hope the Seahawks win because if you do we get a better draft pick than you guys lol. That means we could possibly get Jake Locker or Ryan Mallett and i'm pretty sure Seahawks are looking to draft a QB as well. You know that 12th man is gonna play a huge factor in the game. It's SNF, if you win you're going to the playoffs, and it's a rookie QB so the noise will get to him.
TennesseeTitans4Life 1 year ago
@TennesseeTitans4Life
Careful with Jack Locker... his accuracy is not great... It's hard to say if he'll make it as a starting qb in the NFL.. AND HEY man we made the playoffs! I'll take it...
funkyflights 1 year ago
@funkyflights
THAT"S Jake Locker not Jack... lol
funkyflights 1 year ago
@funkyflights Well I hope we get Mallett and yeah congrats on making the playoffs with an amazing 7-9 record!
TennesseeTitans4Life 1 year ago
@funkyflights
Dude, who cares who the best team was? It's about who wins the Super Bowl. I guess according to you we should have just skipped the playoffs and awarded the championship to the 16-0 Patriots.
And besides, for all the stat categories the Seahawks won that game, it's just too bad they didn't win the only one that actually counts for something - scoreboard.
davidshi123 1 year ago
@davidshi123
Dude I CARE.... I want fair play... and that day it wasn't and as a matter of fact the ref from Super-Bowl 40 admitted to blowing some crucial calls.... GO to NFL .com or ESPN and read it for yourself.... He say's he's gonna take it to the grave... HMMMMMMM.... sounds like a half confession to me....
funkyflights 1 year ago 2
@funkyflights Yeah I heard about that. They really should make sure to hire someone who isn't a fan of one of the super bowl teams.
TennesseeTitans4Life 1 year ago
@funkyflights The Steelers also had the two most important plays of the game, so yes the better team won. You can't give up a 70+ yard run and a trick play for scores and expect to win the game. And let's not forget two games prior to that when the refs tried to hand Indy the game but the Steelers wouldn't let it happen.
PensFanE17 1 year ago 2
@PensFanE17
Take out the flag and throw a holding call on both those big plays for the Steelers and then you would feel what the Seahawks felt.... And I do agree the refs didn't do a good job when the Steelers played Indy.... And I didn't think that was fair either...
funkyflights 1 year ago
@funkyflights I understand the perception that the refs "threw" the game for the Steelers, but I honestly just think those calls were human error. That's always been a part of football, and teams at one point or another will have to overcome a bad call or two to win a championship. I'm just kind of tired of people saying I should be ashamed to win the game (not you) because of these calls. The Steelers went out and did what they had to do to win.
PensFanE17 1 year ago 2
@PensFanE17
You guy's are a good team... it's the refs I blame....
funkyflights 1 year ago
@funkyflights Wasn't really bullshit. The Seahawks kept dropping passes and let that 70 something yard run happen which really killed them. Hasselbeck also threw a costly interception before that BS penalty. I think the Steelers would have won regardless.
Maseets 1 year ago
@Maseets
I mean common....
funkyflights 1 year ago
@funkyflights all i know is this... the ball broke the plain on the roethlisberger bootleg....look at it... slow it down and do what you gotta do...the proof is in the poodin....
jasongorny 1 year ago
@jasongorny

We got him back! Thank you God(:
