@TralfamadorianRed Right. They were from Texas , and their original version makes The Cramps' sound....um....polished. They did a LOT , in terms of making the song their own (But , the original is great , too.) . I saw the reformed Greenfuz a few years ago at The Ponderosa Stomp. They were awful.
I like this punk band, at least I am to believe their Punk. The lead singer is dressed to kill. He sporting nothing but a pair of very tight leather dudes...he's looks to be in great shape. I also really dig the sounds of his voice and this particular selection. I can't remember it by anyone but The Cramps, is it their own composition. I actually like 'em better than the Ramones. The Ramones too, were considered punk but did make it onto the top 40 charts and inturn were better known.
I was in a music store some weeks back when the Alvey original came on over the speakers. I was momentarily paralyzed with shock, but I presently began grooving and singing along (much to the astonishment of the counter people)
I had the SAME thing happen to me in an "Urban" clothing store with my mother, only the song was "Green Door". I was very surprised, but delighted because otherwise I'd be trailing her since nothing in the store was interesting.
It's not a Cramps Song actually, but another brilliant cover. They make their own though don't they? My fave original Cramps tune is prolly The Way I Walk, that song jams.:)
I was thrilled to know the band a little personally but never saw them live! It was too exhausting. I could only do about six nights per week!

Our hearts ALL go out to Ivy , but I think she knows. Great clip, sound IS superb.
I saw the reformed Greenfuz at the Ponderosa Stomp. Alvey sang all right ,but , overall , it was awful. I wanted to love it.

why did the camera man have to stand in between ivy and that pillar?
