I think most of this song is in 4/4 timing, the drumming is just intricate in the way that the snare deviates from just being hit on the third count. Remembering music you wrote is really easy, especially because you remember the work for one instrument, not a whole orchestra. It's just like how you remember hundreds of lyrics or guitar melodies from bands you listen to.

What the hell happened to Tim Kinsella and this band? They suck! I was at this show and left because they are not a hint of the band they were on their first 2 albums. I understand that bands change sound as they progress but this hasn't progressed. It isn'e eclectic ans passion filled like old Joan. It seems like it is all about Tim now.
