@CleverMuslimah I'm not actually a muslim,but I've studied Qran at school in my Religion classes,and there's nothing (as far as I know) about how coloured or patterned the hijab/niqab should be,am I right?If a niqabi wants to wear a pretty flowery scarf on her face,why not?If you are not allowed to show your face,then you can at least wear matching clothes,when I was in Istanbul during my vacation,I saw a lot of women in colorful,pretty hijabs/niqabs,even in a mosque,when I was sightseeing.
@ThriftTreasures - In Islam u are not encouraged to wear anything bright, showy, see through, clingy, anything that would make someone look at u - i know someone covered in the street, they will look but if u wear a dark colour, wide shape etc its boring for them they lose interest :) Thats why we do it - In instanbul, turkey alot of ppl do it from habit and not from real knowledge of the religion
