@biggsterboy you were not there. this happened at a point in the season where the park is closed during the week. there was no one there. stop trying to make yourself seem cool, because i doubt you are even from atlanta.
@nanofriz12 I was making a joke, as people do sometimes... and yes the park was closed. I live in Marietta which is in the northwest suburbs of Atlanta.
My gosh!!! They need to make a movie and have this clip in it! There were some intense stories about the floods! The scariest I think was two blocks away from me!! So this ladies house had a weak foundation so the water ripped it of and it started floating away but stuck on some trees! Rescue workers came because the house was flooding and going under and more water was coming but they started floating away too!! To be continued... But seriously!!!!
@jwoogy64 wow, this is great american scream machine and its nothing like blue streak, in fact its waayyyyyyy better than blue streak. looks like nobody on this vid likes u!
@jwoogy64 your a monster I DONT EVEN WORK FOR THEM U DICKLESS ASSHOLE imagine IF YOU CAN GET IT THROUGH YOUR THICK SKULL!!! ALL THE DAMAGED THAT CAUSEED !!!ASSHOLE
im going tomorrow(maybe)and im scared to ride all these roller coasters after some important things on the rollercoasters could have possibly fell off. some of them are old and rusted and could have gotten jacked up with the flood and could fall apart with enough weight on it for a long time, gosh ill get chills everytime i ride on a roller coaster tomorrow!!
@thalolybeth I know how you feel. Heck, I don't even want to ride a roller coaster with a loop. All I know is, if I dare make it to the midway point of a loop, I'll probably fall. Those idiots out the calling me names will get a piece of my mind.
@thalolybeth You'll be pleased to know that the only place a flood can REALLY damage a ride is at the core of its station since that is where all of the electrical systems are located. What's good about that is the people who built the rides at Six Flags Atlanta took precaution of flood hazards and built the stations above the ground. Only rides that are in risk of severe damage is The American Scream Machine & Ninja since they are always getting flooded.
yo i went here i loved the place it horrifies me to see this.... i had heard of it but never seen the videos or pictures lol this sucks. all the rollercoasters here were amazing (except the ninja it hurt my ears and it was no fun)
spaceman 2012 KNOW WHEN THEY BUILD.They need to think where will all the water Go. There need to a flood report on all areas. To keep this from happpening again. The ground can only hold so
I live on Fairbur Road, about 20 minutes from Six Flags, and this is the worse natural disaster I have ever seen in my life. You think that something like this will never happen in your town but when it does, well, theres really no words to describe it.
you think about how something like this always happens to some other place, but then to someone else this is some other place. it's just more devastating because it didn't happen some other place, it happened to the place you are.
I, for one, will not be going to six flags for a while. water, wood, metal, electricity, and heights just doesn't sound like a party want to be a part of. I may be wrong, but I just don't see how they can deem those rides safe after this...at least not until significant repair, or even total rebuild happens.
but who knows, I don't ride roller coasters anyway.
They are still opening the park today...but I don't understand how they're going to do it. They've lost stores, restaraunts, vending booths, various games and attractions...and we all know that Six Flags is close to filing bankrupt already (which would explain lower prices). Mr. Keith is beung unrealistic. The rides are DAMAGED...the sidewalks beneath them could be devastated. It wouldn't be right if innocent people were dead due to greed.
It's set to rain again this weekend. . This Saturday was supposed to be "Army" day. I sure hope they will be able to open, I know a lot of people who were planning on going as a last family day out before the deployment this Fall.
I was planning on going there, look at it now, one of the most famous amusement parks fall down into ashes, just look at Georgia right now, how can we get rid of all this, this is record breaking, i mean i lost EVERYTHING, I even slept in Walmart, rediculous, my grandma, grandpa, uncle, auntie, brothers and sisters have flooded houses. NOT SIX FLAGS!
