EE3 is a good game graphically and for performance. It has some pretty cool features and in my opinion its just different and more compact. Having less epochs and less resources allows for better graphics and more unique looking units. However in EE2 you do have different civilisation units looking slightly different for example, the "west" being britain/germany/america and so on and the east being japan/korea/china. EE3 is different but in my opinion i think EE2 is much more fun!!
EE III is not bad, but it aint EE. That's the Problem. II wasn't good either, but still EE, I miss EE I where I was able to build like 15 diffrent troop types in the Barracks.
ive heard that as far as units go, you cant make hundreds upon hundreds of them like in EE and EE2 where a pop limit can go all the way to 1000. is that true for this game?

i have the game somedays ago and i started to play and i saw one thing that says mustard gas on the whowisters and i have to test it before a combat so i can see how efective it is so i decñared war on some tribe and started to shoot mustard gas on them i was great and really efective i fell like usa using white phosphorus on cibilians deamn i fell so powerfull.
this game is in a way like diablo 3... it changed the style of the game, and not very many people liked it. *diablo went from a dark, evil themed game which they did a wonderfull job making it so, then diablo 3 was cheesy, with a graphic and style that would remind you of world of warcraft, or final fantasy* so some people like it, but the people that played it cuz they liked the first 2, generally did not.

I had played the first 2 games and when I played this, I thought I had bought the wrong game :P
But really, I felt disappointed playing this, and I wished they didn't dumb it down like they did. The units were interesting (not their dialogue), the gameplay was pretty decent, albeit not unique, and the biggest issue I had was performance. This game probably won't allow an EE4 to come, but if it did, I sincerely hope it's base it off of the good from this and EE2, and not what this was overall.
What is EE1 multiplayer about? Build hundereds of stables and then attack. What is EE2 about? Build hundereds of barracks and spam crossbowmens. You can do the same but u havent got much chances. Its more about battle, using tactic, trenches, hidding, charging. What was the diference betwen American Macemen and Asian macemen in EE2? Texture. Previous EEs were good, u'd gain many ressources... i dont say they were better or worse. Every game has its issues and good things.
I dont like how it has only 3 races, whilst the previous games had loads.
Also I find that World Domination mode is a little crap and limitating in places. I build an ARMY then loose it., then fight again in same place but have an army.

@TheCrispism EE emphasizes on Epochs... If I recall correctly, the first one had 13, and the second one had 15... the beauty of the game was to progress through all those ages, but in this one, they took a more AoE approach... with just 4 ages, and focusing on combat (though the combat is also average) rather than economy and science, making it a weird hybrid that didn't felt like EE... also the game itself was very flawed, lots of glitches, pathfinding problems, etc.
the problem of this game is that they tried to do way to much with this game and made it crap. they could of just kept it simple and upgraded the graphics. they made everything basically un-real. they made up to much.

It's stupid because you get a market and put it with your town center and get raw material by land with 5 villagers. What the hell. This game is way too easy. Graphics look like idiots. LOL Then I don't have much hope for Empire Earth 4. Rogue Warrior an the new AVP game(which has now been out for a while) sucked. A shame as the first EE was really quite good. Though even its expansion was not so good. This game had some ok ideas an incredibly poor execution it looks like.

Personally I think Empires: Dawn of the Modern World is the best of its genre (Made by the same ppl who made empire earth).
It has the awesome gameplay of empire earth and the graphics of empire earth 2... I have a video of its gameplay if any1 wants to see :)

Wow thats a really old one. You ever play recent rts games like Supreme commander, company of heroes, empire total war? Because they kick Empires Dawn of the Modern World back to the stone age.

LOL Then I don't have much hope for Empire Earth 4. Rogue Warrior an the new AVP game(which has now been out for a while) sucked. A shame as the first EE was really quite good. Though even its expansion was not so good. This game had some ok ideas an incredibly poor execution it looks like.

the first 2 are much better and funner games the third is bad and doesn't have the empire earth feel anymore and i got bored with it in the first day of playing it i would give it 3/10

This game is rated a 1 compared to the other 2 - EE1 my rating is a 6, EE2 my rating is 8. Get EE2 not EE3. EE3 is just awful game play, graphics isnt everything, actually, its very little of anything in gaming.

1st was awesome, they should have just took that and made it a little better graphics and just added some more units and buildings, not make A WHOLE NEW GAME. Plus the 1st one sierra took down the servers sooo, yea i need a new rts i dont no which to get... mby total war or dawn of war... idk

yes, if u fire catapult or howitzer (etc.) it has area damage, but it does not make this game suck
