I love the first rat snake! Were those pygs dor? They don't have their heads up and all twitchy like I have come to expect from them. Looks like a great trip.
yeah the pigs were DOR,most of them..that 1st rat had a rough life..1 dialated eye, scarred over most of its body and half a tail, but still kicking. heading back down this april for some glades, keys, and gulf herping & fishing.
My very first pyg was DOR in the park. I was really disapointed by that. I am headed down to the glades in April too for a couple nights of herping. Next week I am going to the merritt island area but I fear it will be too cold for any good herping. Worth a try though. Cool video! Thanks for sharing it!
Looks like you found the motherload of cotton mouths. The one sad thing about this group of pictures isthe fact that all of the lizards (except the croc and gators) are all invasive species. All of the fish as well. The fish were as follows. Peacock bass, jagiar guapote and Midas cichlid. I live in south florida and the invasives are taking over the natives. The last time I took my airboat out we killes 26 pythons, and werent even out there looking for them.
Looks like you had a great time as always. My daughter and I had a fantastic time when we joined you guys in 2006. One comment : WTF too many dumb ass cloud pics and NOT enough fish pictures :) Gotta get my act together and join ya in 2010 Keep in touch !
